Crystal Care Villa is nicely sized. It's clean. The person that I spoke with was also pretty nice. Some of the rooms had a little patio area on the back. Then they have a TV room/leisure room for the residents.

I toured Crystal Care Villa. The guy is very helpful. I actually was supposed to have an appointment beforehand, but I went the same day because I wanted to drive by and see what it looked like. And then when I was there, the guy saw me and invited me in. The place is beautiful, it's gorgeous, but it's going to take a while for my mom to get an assisted living waiver, and I don't want to wait that long. She needs to go in the nursing homes where I want to put her. The kitchen was very clean. They have several bathrooms. Their room where they have couches and a lounge is neat. They have a large television. I like it because it's got a fence ring in front, so people can't just walk out and go on the road, and they're doing some other work on it that's going to improve the place. So I really liked the place. Maybe it'll work for someone else, but not for my mom. They also have a wheel-in shower for someone who needs a shower. They have it done that way so that they can just wheel the person in. They have females and males. It's cool because it gives the resident dignity, if it's a male or female, to have the same sex work with them. The staff member who assisted me, his name was Eli. He's always calling me all the time to check about how my mother is. He has assisted me with giving me phone numbers to help my mom with the process of getting an assisted living waiver, but I haven't called the person because I just want my mom in a nursing home. Nevertheless, he was very professional and helpful.

The owner of Crystal Care Villa seemed very nice. I wasn't really jazzed about the layout of the facility and the kitchen. It didn't have any warmth where you would feel comfortable leaving your loved one there. The facility itself needed some updating, and I didn't like the décor. It was weird.

When I walked in Crystal Care Villa, the first thing that I noticed is that it did not smell bad at all; it smelled good. The place was nice and clean. When I came in, everybody was having lunch, and it looked good. I looked at their menu for the week, and it looked good also. The rooms were clean. However, it seemed like the rooms for the higher-end patients were not any larger than the rooms for the lower-income people. They're private, that's good, and you don't have you share it, but it seemed to me they're the same-sized room as the ones for other people who have to share it. I expected a larger room for the higher-end patients. However, the rooms were clean, and the staff was very nice. I saw the kitchen while they were cleaning up after lunch, and the kitchen looked very nice and clean. The bathrooms were clean, and that was a nice thing.
