My mom is now at Rolling Hills Guest Home in Fullerton. The social worker from hospice hooked me up with these guys, and they are really good. I'm pretty happy I went with them. It's pretty good. My mom is also on hospice and probably in her last days. She has really advanced dementia. She was speaking about 3 weeks ago, but she got an infection and hasn't spoken since. She gets a lot of infections that's been going on since before she went to the care home. Unfortunately, that's affecting her immensely. She's receiving assisted living along with the hospice care she's getting, so there are visiting nurses 1 to 3 times a week. It just depends on her needs. The owner of the place is a registered nurse. I'm happy with them. The staff is very helpful. They communicate with me if there are any issues. They call and then her hospice also calls; I get a lot of phone calls. The food is outstanding. I wish I could eat there every day. They're Filipino, and their food is incredible. I ate dinner there the other night, and it was very good. They have a television in the room. They put her in a wheelchair and take her outside because they have a nice little garden in the back. They also have a covered patio where the other residents can sit, hang out, and talk. It's a very nice place. It's very clean with hardwood floors throughout for wheelchairs and walkers. It's a very clean home. I looked at a lot of places. I was most impressed with this facility that's why I picked it.
