My mom has moved into Oakmont of Fullerton. It's absolutely beautiful, clean, and upscale. The staff are excellent. My mom's room is very nice. It's probably the biggest room I've seen for a studio out of all the places. It's nicely painted and carpeted and everything. They have a movie theater. They have a game room. They have bar activities and exercise activities. They just have everything. I want to live there. I had a really nice BLT sandwich with some dill french fries, and it was delicious.

My daughter and I went over to Oakmont of Fullerton and spent a couple of hours with them and they were very, very nice. The facility was wonderful, but they wanted $8,000 a month for a one-bedroom facility, and I couldn't afford that. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It is only about two years old, so it looks brand new. The facility is in wonderful condition. They have a TV room and a very nice cafeteria. The menu looked very appetizing. The staff was very, very knowledgeable and courteous in providing information to questions that we had to ask. One reason why I liked them a lot was that they're only about a quarter of a mile away from St. Jude, which is my main medical team over there. So that really is appealing.

My mom will be moving into Oakmont of Fullerton. We went there four times. All the staff were very patient, very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. My husband's mother had lived at a different senior living, so we kind of knew what made us feel comfortable, and when we walked into Oakmont, we felt comfortable. There are beautiful high ceilings, and the way it's decorated was amazing. The staff greeted us. COVID protocols were top-notch. When somebody takes my temperature and checks me in and makes sure as a visitor, I'm wearing a mask, I feel comfortable having my mom there. They had her try the food, and she loved it. Every question we asked, they were knowledgeable. I've worked mainly with Cassia, and she was amazing. You do not need to bring appliances. All of them come with a refrigerator that has a freezer. The one my mom is moving into is the basic studio. It's 10 x 18, so it's quite large, I think, for a studio because I looked at a few others. On each floorplan, even in apartment living, the ceiling is high, so it makes you feel it's just open and bright. And let's say somebody moves out, they repaint the room for the next person. The upkeep of the facility is amazing. They have a beautiful outdoor area that has a fountain. You have an indoor portion and a huge outdoor patio that's the same size as the indoor one. It's pet friendly, so there's a dog area, but the grounds around it are well-kept. You look at those kinds of things, and they were fantastic. The staff who toured me around was over and above. They hosted us for lunch, and they even sent my mom home with dinner.

The tour at Oakmont of Fullerton was an hour and a half; it was an excellent tour. There were two different people, the facility's head and the one who talks about the money and all, and they were excellent. The facility was beautiful. There was lots of sunlight and lots of space in the different rooms that the residents use. There was a library. People were out in the courtyard. I saw some people coming and going. I appreciated the hallways and how they were set up where they would have enclosed glass outside their bedrooms that showed their background, like a baseball bat or a baseball figure from high school, an award, kind of things like that that would capture their interests. I thought that was beautiful. For the women residents, they had a corner of interest for women, like maybe older dolls and a model in a wedding dress. And then for the men, they have the baseball thing, some dominoes, and old-fashioned things. As for food, they had excellent waiters, and models of food were shown. For activities, I saw some people in the movie room, and they had a casino room, too. It's quite a variety. On the walls, I could see pictures I thought that seniors would enjoy. The thing that I was so excited about is that my loved ones would be in the same room. Also, they offered bible study each week. The rooms were very nice.

My parents will be moving into Oakmont of Fullerton. The staff was very pleasant, easy to talk to, and willing to answer the questions. The facility itself was very nice and up to date. The key factor for me when we went to do the tour that day was that the guy holding or conducting the music class was very engaging. Before I knew it, my dad was on the microphone singing and participating in their activity, even though we were just there visiting. They made them feel right at home. The rooms are very spacious and well laid out for safety purposes. The staff who did the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. They have exercise, a walking path, a movie room, and a fitness center. They have a shuttle to take them off the campus, where they could go to the supermarket or off-site.

This community is gorgeous. My friend's mom moved into a 1 bedroom apartment. Her balcony looks out over the horse stables. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. She loves the activities and has made several new friends since May.

Oakmont of Fullerton was very nice. It's a brand new place, it was just big. There's nothing bad about that place. It's gorgeous. It's beautiful. It just opened up I think in March. They had a secure place for Alzheimer's and they had activities and things to do. These places were all the same price-wise and everything. They had music. They all had the same type of activities. There's only so much they can do. They had a little garden. You could live there yourself if you had enough money to live in an apartment.

We looked at Oakmont of Fullerton memory care side. It was beautiful, but it was very expensive. The facility was essentially brand new, and they had just started moving residents in two weeks beforehand. It was very nice, but it was way out of our price range. The amenities were nice. There were a lot of different activities, and they had a good variety of food. I liked the layout of the shared rooms, but they were divided by a bathroom. We liked the floor plan. It's top of the line. It was like Beverly Hills of senior living.
