My father was admitted to this facility on October 5, 2022. Was (without prior knowledge) transferred back to the hospital and later returned to Windsor (the same day). Throughout his stay there information was sporadic and poorly communicated. The facility itself was sub-standard relative to overall cleanliness and effective and responsive care; on one occasion it took them several minutes to find a urinal. There is no scenario or circumstance that would compel me to recommend this facility as a safe, secure and effective facility. One last comment. After my father was discharged we went back to retrieve his clothing. Upon entering we asked the front desk person if we should wear masks. Her response was: "you're only going to be here a few minutes so you don't have to."

Mom was at Windsor Elk Grove middle of January into February. The staff was really incredible, really caring, very dedicated, incredibly friendly, and hardworking. I cannot say enough about the staff. The facility is pretty rudimentary, but it's clean and it smelled fine. The food was adequate. It wasn't super yummy, but it wasn't terrible. But I think the number one thing is, as a child of a parent who's in a stressful situation, it's like you're leaving your kid there, it's important that when you're not there your parents are in good hands. I felt pretty confident that mom was getting good care. I was very impressed with the staff. Mom did physical therapy almost every day I thought they did a really good job. She had a close to broken hip and she was in horrible pain, but she's in good shape now. They really worked with her and got her back on her feet. I was pleased of the quality of the physical care and the skilled nursing. Though they could maybe up the activities a little and have a few more events.

Windsor Elk Grove Care and Rehabilitation Center was clean. It did not smell or anything. The residents here were more confined to their beds. The staff seemed very nice. They have a big dining area where they can watch TV, and watch movies. The lady there was super helpful in helping us find a doctor in town, helping us find a place for my mom, and helped mom with the medicines. The place was fantastic. They did a lot of follow-up, and help in getting mom going. The overall experience we had was good. Mom was in a double-room, and her side was big which looks out to the courtyard area. It did not feel confining in her bedroom.

This place was very nice and very scary at the same time. It's full of people and staff. Many people are in the hallways in their wheelchairs just sitting around, this is good that their out and possibly moving, but some are just sitting their. Some of the staff is very kind and nice, others are not fluent in English but are the ones in charge of medication. Other staff was also very rude saying my grandmother could be their more often, when she was already their almost daily even though we live almost 50 miles away and she works five days a week. Over all it's not the worst, but we are working on moving her closer so that my great grandfather can visit her with ease.
