Had my aunt in Villa Joy since 2016 and had no regrets. The time I had my aunt in Villa Joy they took good care of her and kept her clean. My aunt was also well feed. Villa Joy was always clean and staff went above and beyond for their clients. If my family did not move out of state we would still have my aunt in Villa Joy. Wish we could take Staff of Villa Joy on our move, knowing your elderly aunt being in good hands is a big relief.

The staff is very friendly, but I don't think that they are doing enough for each different level of mental capacity staying with them. The facilities are always clean and tidy. But some of the residents are mentally disabled, but not all of them. They don't do enough to enrich the mental-well being of those that still have all of their mental capacities in order. I don't think it would be too much to ask to do more than turn on the TV for them each day. Walks down the block, puzzles, word games, etc could be provided or donated to provide this type of enrichment. They also could so more to provide better or more balanced meals to the residents. I've also visited on holidays and some of the residents don't have anyone there to see them. It might be nice to spruce up the holidays a little more.
