Emerald Vista was nice but not for my dad. The staff seemed very nice. The owner was not there during our visit as she was out of town. I was kind of disappointed with that scheduling issue. Everybody was kind of quiet. It's the first time I've been to a place like that, so I didn't know what to expect. Everybody was so nice, but there would have been some language barrier for my dad, so it wasn't for him. The rooms I saw were kind of plain, nothing real fancy. I guess they can fix up their space, but it was all simple and basic. Those people are in there because they're on their way down. They had a big common room and no physical therapy. It was a house with four to five bedrooms, so I didn't see any activity. People were just sitting and hanging around watching TV. It was boarding care so there were four to six people per house. It looks like most rooms were shared rooms, there was no PT and no physical therapy.

I have already found a placement and actually it has just worked out great. Emerald Vista is a care home and it is very clean. It is just a nice place. Their rooms are clean and well maintained. There are around five patients there. Their staff are very caring and they care about their residents. I could not have asked for anything better.
