I'm at The Atrium at Carmichael. It's been good. With the financial situation I was in, they accepted me. The building has been under remodeling for the past year plus, and so it's clean. Right now it's about 50 percent full, but some of the features that they had have been reduced since I moved in. They used to have dining, but they did away with that. They used to have room service where they clean your room, but they did away with that. There's a number of people who needed these other amenities, and they moved out. They don't have a big staff. They only got just about two or three people that work here. They don't provide any kind of care facility. It's just a little office staff and a leasing person, and then they have one person who cleans the common areas. They offer different types of games. They have a director of activities, and she does a fabulous job. When people move out, they often leave a lot of stuff behind, so they will offer that to other residents. They also have daily activities, playing cards, or various things. On Wednesday afternoons they have a social hour where they have a little live band and provide refreshments. Sometimes they have a potluck where people bring in their favorite food, like today we'll be having that. It's enjoyable and people like it. They also have a little library where you can borrow books and they have videotapes and that sort of thing for those who have a recorder. They also have free WiFi. They have a person that comes in to do haircuts and manicures and pedicures three times a week. They have a little exercise room.

I toured The Atrium at Carmichael. I really liked the area. I really liked the place. The people are really good. The staff members are really good, too. The units are small, but I really like the way they set them up. There are other things that are available for people to put their stuff. If you have extra things to store, they have extra storage. When I walked in, I felt very welcome, and the people there were nice. The people who live there seemed to be very happy there. I think for the number of people who are living there, the dining area is sufficient. The place is really nice and clean. The only problem I have is they don't have parking places for the residents.

My father will be moving into The Atrium at Carmichael. We chose it because of the independent living, the services, and the facilities when you walk in, it looks opulent, they did a bunch of remodeling, and the openness of their courtyards for relaxation for their residents. All the staff was nice. They don't have food. The people were wonderful. Everything was wonderful.

They do NOT take pride in positively affecting their residents lives every day. If they did this, there wouldn't be so many unhappy people living here and they would not have taken away the services they were providing to people. The renovations are NOT progressing rather swiftly; that is a falsehood. And they lie, there is NO FOOD offered here in the dining room anymore! They stopped that too! There is no chef! That is another lie! Living the good life? NO, they are NOT living the good life at The Atrium at Carmichael.

The Atrium at Carmichael removed their services. They're pretty much nothing more than an apartment complex. There are no more meals. There's no more housekeeping. Some people were great and some people were terrible. They didn't monitor their emergency pull cords. They don't have 24-hour desk service. They showed zero consideration for the residents. They've been renovating for two years, and they're still not done. Mom was like living in a construction zone. She also had a fire next door to her and they never came in and did anything for the smoke. She did not like the food either.

I was able to see The Atrium at Carmichael, it was very warm and welcoming. The people were nice, and the staff offered me a lot of insights and support in terms of ideas to help my mom transition toward getting ready to be in a senior place. The lady who gave me the tour, the manager, was really helpful and wonderful, as well as very knowledgeable about her facility. And she was very understanding about the situation, and how it's difficult to get a parent to agree to give up whatever independence they're perceiving they have. They have a lot of activities, they do a lot of things with people to help them live a fuller life. They also do outings as well as activities within the facility. They have safety features built in such as pull cords in the bathroom and in their rooms, and they have step-in showers. The floor plans are nice and open so that you are not in tiny little tight spots, they're well-lit and well-laid out with lots of big closets. So that's nice because they can still maintain a lot of their belongings. They have religious services for several denominations, they also take the residents to places. It's a very beautiful facility.

I have been living at The Atrium at Carmichael for eight months now. The staff is wonderful. My apartment is about 700 square feet with a wooden plank floor and a little backyard. I have two little dogs with me. We have an activity director, and she takes us out on outings. We have different games we play. They are renovating the entire building, so we can't do activities right now.

My friend moved into The Atrium at Carmichael less than two weeks ago. So far, all of the staff has been very welcoming, and it's safety-oriented. They check on people if they haven't come down for dinner, or for lunch, they call and make sure that everything's OK. So that met our needs. I would say they're undergoing a lot of remodeling right now. So that's a minor issue, cosmetic on the outside, and starting some on the inside. It doesn't seem to interfere with their services, but for some people, it might be bothersome. They have exercise classes in the morning. They have social hours in the afternoon and they have outings for people, whether it's shopping, going to the bank, or other outings. We haven't been exposed to those yet. I know that there was a sign-up sheet for banking and grocery shopping. I have not eaten there, but I've asked him and he feels the food is quite good, and in fact, he says it's too much food.

The staff at The Atrium at Carmichael was very hospitable, seemed very warm, and inviting. They showed us the facility, all the aspects of where my mother-in-law would be able to go, explained how the meals work, how their programs work, and the different activities that they have. We looked at the studio room, and it looked clean. They have an emergency service for anyone who needs it, where they would have staff to attend to them right away. You could opt in or out of the meals too, which is very good. If you want to cook for yourself in your apartment or studio apartment, you can do that. If you want a meal, you could order it and have it available. There were a lot of folks out walking around, and it seemed to be a pretty friendly place. I was able to talk to a couple of residents, and they just seemed very happy and said it was a good place to live. My mother-in-law liked it, and it's much closer to our home than where she's currently living. We like the proximity of the location. They have a movie night once a week and different activities. I believe they offer church service on Sundays. We visited a couple of the other places, however they were much more expensive. I think The Atrium at Carmichael is a good value for the dollar that you're spending.

My mother has moved into The Atrium of Carmichael. It was right in her budget, so she's there to stay as long as she wants and the funds will take care of it. I don't want her have to worry about money, so it really came down to cost. She liked the place, and she liked the food. We went there and had some lunch. Everybody that we've come across is very friendly, but in any relationship you gotta assess it after six months because sometimes in six months, true personalities come out. The room is nice, clean and the smell is fresh. Her hardest decision was moving from the 3-bedroom home to a 1-bedroom. I know they've got activities, but because of Covid everything's kinda shutdown. I know they are getting free room service because everybody shelters into their rooms. I know they have crafts, physical activities, and things like that. The layout is fine. It's 2-stories, and it's got ponds around with ducks in it, so you are able to walk around. They provide transportation if you need it. It's across the street from Bel Air, on one side her banking is close also, and there's a Safeway and a CVS across the street, so all of these other services if she needs them are really close. That was another factor too, because the intersection where it's at is safe and she's close to things. The person in-charge and the 2nd person have always been very nice and accommodating. The one time we went in, we had prime rib with fresh mashed potatoes and it was actually really good. It's a little older community, but it's fine. They have a large library, and they have an activities director. It was probably the cheapest of all the ones we saw. Her budget was $2100 and most of the places where she used to live were in the $3500. Anything close to my house is $3500, which is way out of her budget. The Atrium was $2100, so she was able to afford it.

The location was not good for me, and the place didn't appeal to me because the rooms were very small and hadn't been updated much or anything. The staff was good; he knew everything about the place. They don't provide food, and I'm not interested in any independent living that I have to pay for the food because I'm out of town too much.

This community was my 2nd choice. It was clean and well-lit. A lot of people were there and seemed to be engaged. The apartment was large I was very excited to see. There were larger and better apartments than the other community I visited. The staff are friendly, well-informed, and professional. From what I saw, they had a computer room, and a library.

When I pulled up to the building, I thought it wouldn't work, but when I went in, I was pleasantly surprised. The outside looked like an old apartment building, but the inside was very nice. It was a little older but nice. The people were friendly and the apartment was a little older, but very nice, and it was a good size. It was a little farther away for me. They had a dining area, and it was very nice.

Our experience so far seems good, my dad seems to be doing fine there. His accomodation seems good, the food is good and the people are nice. They have a laundry room, a beauty salon, and other amenities that they offer to the residents. They offer a large array of stuff to do every day.

My aunt-in-law is here. The staff is very nice, very polite, and very helpful. The accommodations are very well, it was a nice room, a good size, and the balcony was big. It was exactly what we wanted. The food was very good, the dining room was very nice, and the people that worked there were very polite.

I was impressed with the openness. The hallways were nice and wide. They had a lobby and little places where residents could gather inside the facility. On the outside, they had greenery and a lot of places to sit and walk around, but there's not a whole lot of parking. The activities on the chart were fun and typical of most independent living places. The gentleman who showed me around was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and explained when there's going to be extra charges.

This community was my favorite. The community was welcoming. The rooms looked adequate. We are a group of sisters, and they said that there was a place where we could meet as a group on a regular basis; that was really helpful. They said they had a lot of activities, and the people seemed really engaged.

I got my mom into this community. They're good. My mom is really happy with them, loves the meals, and becomes acclimated more and more every day. It had been a real struggle to start because she is 95 years old. However, everything is working out fine. They offer a lot of nice things for her. The people are very, very nice and take care of her. She loves the way they clean her place, and it is really handy to have the laundry there. She is very happy, and I'm happy, too. They can sign up for trips and different activities. They have live music and games. My mom has a one-bedroom apartment that's much bigger than any of the other ones that I visited. It is nicer, though it is not as new. It's is an older place but it's immaculate, very clean, and has new carpeting and new paint. It has anything and everything my mom could possibly want. The people are nice.

It was very nice, and I liked it. The lady was very helpful and nice. I liked the vibe and the way they sit people for dinner to try to find companionship with people who are like-minded. I liked the activities they had scheduled. I would consider it.

We liked the feeling and the overall environment on the outside. When you’re looking in the windows, you can see a lot of the outside. The rooms were nice but a little older. We were looking for something with a little bit of brightness. Overall, we liked it. They had music, bingo, and craft activities. They had areas for sitting and visiting.

I liked it for my friend; I would live there myself. The meals looked very tasty. I liked that they have a 24-hour care. I also liked that it smelled very clean and fresh. I liked the rooms because they were very spacious and had a balconies. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it, except that it wouldn’t work for my friend because she couldn’t afford it unless long-term care would pay for part of it.

I put a deposit down. It's the one I like. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were larger than average. The food was very good; I had lunch there. The atmosphere was very nice and cheerful. The only thing that I'm not very happy with it is that they had limited meal time, and then there is planned seating, where you can't just sit wherever you want to sit. They're doing it for the purpose of head count, but I don't like the idea that lunch and dinner are one hour and you have to be there.

I visited and placed a deposit, but so far there was still a waiting list for the studio. I knew several people who lived there so I would have someone to talk to that I knew. It was nice, new, and I liked the atmosphere. They had a lot of things, too. There were a couple of people there that played the piano beautifully, and I really enjoyed classical music. I just like the look of the place. They had lots of windows to look outside and see the ducks that were floating in the pond. I could take my cat and he would be happy to look out the window at the back. I saw a one-bedroom unit, and I liked that a lot. It was nice and bright. There was window the cat could look out on. It also had a deck or patio. My visit was a good experience, and my daughter liked it very much. She seemed to think it was nice. It was close to where she was so she could come and visit on her day off. I liked it.

My mother cut her hand, and the doctor said that her mother was in this community, so my mom went right over, and I guess she really liked it; she is in there now. It’s clean, the walls look fine, and the carpeting is fine; it doesn’t need to be replaced. My mom said the food was OK. She talked to a few people, and they all seemed to like it. It was very convenient; it had a little shopping area across the street with places to eat, banks, and a grocery store.

I like the place and the tenant's here. For the most part, the staff is fine. I'm not exactly happy with the kitchen staff. The service is slow, but the food tastes good. The dining room is very neat. I have a one bedroom apartment, and I like it. We always have something going on here. We have field trips, and we can just sign up. I always participate in activities here. The activities were just what I expected. I am not disappointed with it. I have been here for more than a year, and I am satisfied with my stay.
