My mom's been really happy with the staff and with the accommodations of AlmaVia of Camarillo. She has a nice room, they keep them busy all the time, and I've been happy with them too. She has a private room with all the stuff from her house, a little sitting area, and another area with a big table where I can put all the family photos. Then she has her dresser and a TV from her house. She enjoys all their group activities. They would have people come in and do singing, they do painting, and those kinds of things. It is very nice. They have a beauty salon, a separate dining room for the memory care since their side's locked, and nice outdoor courtyards with plants and birds. They have people that have been working there for the longest time, and they were all really great people. I think that the food is pretty good, although there was a while that my mom was complaining about it, but I think that's just because it's not homecooked meals.

The tour at AlmaVia of Camarillo was good. The staff seemed friendly. The food looked good. The only negative part was that their outdoor area was not very pleasant. It was very small, and it wasn't as nice as the other places. Some of the residents were very friendly, too. We saw the dining room and the menu. They seemed very nice. It would be nice if they had a larger area, more seating, flowers, and someplace to walk.

We took my mom and toured AlmaVia of Camarillo but they are very expensive. They have two different wings there. They have memory care and assisted living. I think in the memory care, you're going to pay more but they watch you a little closer, and maybe this wing is for the ones that aren't so mobile, as far as being able to get up and out of their rooms, down the elevator and walk to the meal places and various other activities that they have available. We were looking into memory care. They're very friendly, very informative, and we had a very complete tour of the place. Everyone seemed friendly with the staff, with the visitors, and with the residents. The rooms have windows, they were nice and had as much room as a person would need. You'd kind of feel like you were sitting in a box. I don't know how to describe it but it's like a 1- room apartment, kind of like a studio apartment. The room she showed us had windows so maybe they all have windows. They have an activity room, they do crafts and puzzles in their rec room, and they have movie nights. They also have guest speakers, church activities, and a resident pastor that does services and Bible studies. They had a very nice library there if you like to read or look at magazines. They had snacks and meals like breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. They're also right down the street from the city library, so they could have a field trip to the library if they want to do that along with other assorted field trips. I was looking for memory care and they showed us two different rooms which were quite similar. Whether the room was actually in the memory care section or the assisted living, that I'm not sure of. I'm guessing the memory care as those on the first floor since they're all in one place. I know enough to say that it was nice, it was clean, the people were friendly, and the residents we saw seemed like they were happy.

AlmaVia of Camarillo was spread out and had more elevators. We saw a nice room and the dining room. Everything looked nice. They had a courtyard or a little place to go out, which was nice.

The services and the people are really good. They keep my mother-in-law active, everyone seems fairly happy there, and the workers seem to enjoy what they do. So far, it’s been a nice experience, and everything has been 5 stars for us. She’s only been there for about three weeks. Overall, it’s a really nice facility, and the people are good. My wife and I just went to our first memory care class for the family, so that was a nice experience. We actually sat down and had lunch in their front restaurant. They keep nice simple menus for them because they don’t want them to have to make hard choices. We had a great lunch, and the service was really good. Just watching them interact with the people in the daily activities that they provide to keep them busy was really good. They’ve definitely hired some really good workers.

I think Almavia of Camarillo is amazing. The amenities they offered were very nice. They invited us for lunch, but we were not able to eat there, though the menu looked impressive, and the dining room looked beautiful. We spoke with the people staying there, and they said that the food was great. They were very happy there.

We saw Alma Via of Camarillo. It was nice. The person who toured us was exceptional and his name was Gil. All of the facilities were clean, bright and the rooms were very nice. However, they were kind of pricey.

AlmaVia of Camarillo was wonderful, very warm, friendly, clean, and homey. The gal that showed us around was fantastic. The dining area was very nice, and there were a lot of activities. They could have more large rooms for Alzheimer's care, though. They have a lot of activities for both the Alzheimer's and non-Alzheimer's patients, from card games to computer games to friendly gatherings. They watch movies, and they have talks and social activities. They had a very nice patio and nice outside activities.

We chose AlmaVia more than anything because of the location. It is right next to my house practically, conveniently located, and I liked the size of it. It is not little nor huge; it’s a 60-bed facility. I also happened to drop by there to gather some information and the way they welcomed me, talked to me on the spot, and remembered lots of little details that made an impression later, I just really liked it, and my dad liked it.

I choose Alma Via for my mother. The staff is wonderful. They are very accommodating, kind, and make my mother feel good. She's been there for three months, and she loves it. She lives in an apartment. She has a living room, a nice size bedroom, a big bathroom, a refrigerator, a sink, and a microwave. They serve the food, and it is very good. She likes it a lot.

I like the location of Alma Via because it was near all the doctor visits in the hospital. But I thought it was pricier. The rooms were okay. At the time of my visit they weren't doing any activity, but I saw the signs that they do have that. The dining area was nice.

The hallway before you went into the room had glass cages outside each room and each person who was in the room had things like hobbies that they used to do or things they were interested in. It was very impressive to just look at things like that. It's not an old, dark hallway. The staff was very knowledgeable. If I asked a question and it wasn't what they dealt with, then they would tell us that they'll take you to the person there and they can explain it you better than we can. They were pleasant to deal with, very sociable, polite, kind.

They took great care of my Grandpa. They went out of their way to make sure he was always comfortable and all of his needs were met. Everything is really upscale and nice including the rooms, furniture, food, and entertainment (like movies on a big projector screen). They had people come in for groups and did all kinds of fun stuff for the people staying there. My grandpa was suffering from Altimeters and Dementia. They were very patient with him and did their best to help him daily with anything he needed. At first he was very unhappy with the idea of going to an assisted living facility. Within a week or two, the staff and other people staying there won him over. Every time I went to visit, he seemed very happy with his environment. He wasn't able to take care of himself anymore, and it was great knowing he was happy and comfortable in his final days. I would definitely recommend AlmaVia to anyone.
