I toured Camarillo Senior Living. The staff was lovely, friendly, and welcoming. The rooms were adequate. It could be cleaner, or newer. It seemed the carpet was worn. The dining area was big, not intimate, but it was just fine.

Camarillo Senior Living was very clean and pleasant. The staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. They have games, TVs, and get-togethers. They have a haircutting salon. The sizes of the rooms are about average. The community areas are really nice and large.

Camarillo Senior Living was nice. We had a nice experience all together. It was beautiful, very clean, and very nice. I met the front desk person who was nice, too. Then I spoke with the the director of the place, but for my husband, it didn't work, because he needed more one-on-one care.

My friend has moved into Camarillo Senior Living. We chose it because it was affordable and clean with various amenities for her. They have a salon and activities. They have cards, entertainment, and field trips. The staff is well-trained, efficient, caring, and friendly.

Camarillo Senior Living was very nice. I liked it. I thought there was a lot of socialization. The staff members are very friendly. They were pretty proactive in getting involved with the clients that were there. They have a small courtyard in the middle. It's close by, which is nice. It's right next door to a pharmacy, and there are a couple of restaurants there to serve.

I visited Camarillo Senior Living. I went through the assisted living primarily, and we just discussed memory care because they wanted to assess before they got into that with us. It was very nice, very well organized, and very well laid out. I had good impressions of the staff I interacted with. We're leaning towards putting my mother there for a variety of reasons, not least of which, of course, it's a little bit more affordable than the other place. They were a little bit more flexible with the level of care my mother might initially need. It's laid out well. It's a multistory facility. What was interesting about that facility is every floor had a little area where people can get together, watch television, have snacks, and have beverages. I interacted with a receptionist and the executive director. My sister lives in Camarillo and it's not far from her home. I think my mother would be more comfortable there. One big factor that Camarillo offered that the other place didn't is an initial 30-day respite. In other words, I can bring my mother in, it's a furnished room and we can sort of see how it works out and how she engages. They had more of an ability to be flexible with our needs.

My husband is a resident of Camarillo Senior Living. It's a pretty nice place. They're pretty attentive, but sometimes they're short staffed. I was told by the lady at the front desk that this is a common thing because there were a couple of times that they only had two residents' assistants on the premises for everyone. That was a little discouraging. It's a nice-looking place. You walk in and there's a big lobby, and then right across is the dining room. It's very appealing. My husband has a studio apartment, which is pretty nice. It's costly. They have performances going on all the time. They offer menus to the residents there, and they have a variety of what they can choose for the food. There's a library and a very beautiful courtyard out there. They have a salon, but they haven't been able to find someone for it.

My favorite thing about Camarillo Senior Living was that as my parents are aging, their needs are different. My dad needs assisted living now, but will eventually, based on his diagnosis, need to transition to memory care. My mom started out needing assisted living but had a surgery that went bad, ended up as a paraplegic, now needs skilled nursing. Most places don't go in both directions. They go in one direction or the other, meaning that I couldn't keep my parents together. I was pleased that Camarillo Senior Living was able to legitimately accommodate my mom's physical therapy and occupational therapy needs five days a week for therapy for her and have all of the independence that my dad needs for right now, knowing that memory care and even hospice is all in the same community. We're not going to have to keep moving them around town. That for me was very rare and hard to find, and I'm very thankful that it exists. It's going to be a pretty permanent stay, so we have to purchase. I've driven past it many times and I never noticed it was there. It's nestled. The staff members were my favorite. I wish I could try the food, but they had the very best coffee setup and tea setup and that was for just the residents. You'd see a couple of residents coming down to maybe work on a puzzle or play the piano and they'd stop and they'd get a nice free cup of coffee, so I went and had the coffee and that's really good coffee. Everything smelled good coming out of the kitchen, but I was not there during mealtime. I didn't feel like they were trying to price gouge us for the second person. They only are charging $900 for the second person because you still have to feed the second person and do laundry for the second person, but they're in the same room. I felt like the $900 was fair without trying to destroy the financial stability of our entire extended family.

I liked Camarillo Senior Living. It's a great place for people. It's got a memory care, a skilled care, and assisted living care with apartments. Because of COVID, you can't go inside the rooms, so we looked in from the windows, and what I saw was really nice. It's beautiful out there. It used to be a hotel. They have the physical therapy and occupational therapy. They have a full dining room for the assisted living, and people that could walk to the dining room. In the skilled nursing, they have the nurses, and if you want or need, they have a caretaker that could stay at night if the person (like my husband) tries to get out of bed. You could choose between private or a shared room. It's like a full facility. They could have an apartment there in assisted living, or they could have the memory care for Alzheimer's dementia, or the skilled nursing.

Camarillo Senior Living is the only option that is near me that could possibly accommodate my mom. The place was very pleasant and didn't look like a nursing home at all. The rooms were very large, and they even offered private rooms. They are not under any sort of COVID lockdown issues right now, and that's one of the main reasons I want to move her there. The people also seemed very kind, and it is just ten minutes away from my home. My mom will need around the clock care, skilled nursing, and particularly rehabilitation (physical and occupational therapy), which they all offer all of those.

My aunt is at the Camarillo Senior Living for skilled nursing. The place is nice, although we didn't get to go in because of COVID, but it is a really nice facility, and it's beautiful on the outside. However, it's very hard to get any communication with them. Nobody was very good about calling us back or anything like that. It wasn't the greatest experience, and I think the staff was part of the problem. Some of them were good; some of them were non-responsive. We got her in, nobody contacted us, and we didn't know what was going on or if we had to pay out of pocket.

My parents are in here. My father was on the skilled nursing side, and it was just convenient for me to move him over to the other side. It's a nice place. They have a lot of outdoor space and the rooms have a lot of windows. Even though they're inside, it feels like they're outside. The staff is very nice. The apartments are spacious; I like them. It's a little far for our family, but the facility is worth it.

Our experience was good. The rooms were really good and the staff was great, we don't have any complaints about the place. The people were good to my mom. She likes the food and thought it was good. They had a lot of activities although she did not participate in a lot of them. She was pretty sick when she got there so she wasn't able to participate but she had a good experience. It's a huge place because they have regular assisted living as well as skilled nursing. It's very nice and they have a lot of amenities.

The rooms were really attractive. They bring people in to play music, and they had games and trips. The staff I met was really nice. They had a wonderful common area and places where people can sit and meet with family. I like it because of the activities and the general feeling. They had a patio, and the location was nice. There were a lot of trees and the area around it was really nice. There was a small shopping center right next door.

We really like it. My father was there for several weeks. It's very clean, they took care of him pretty well, and he seemed to improve when he was there. The living quarters were pretty clean and spacious. The only grievance I had was that when people go to visit, there's not very many places for you to sit inside the room, but that's super minor. He didn't care for the food. They were on top of making sure he's not just lying in bed. If he has scheduled physical therapy, they get him up. They have a lot going on and he's not just sitting. The staff is very good.

I went and I didn't like it as much. I didn't like the food particularly, and the girl wasn't as knowledgeable. My husband liked it because he said it felt more homey to him, but I wasn't impressed with it. People were wandering around and some were watching TV. They try to tie in living there with the talents that people have. If they like to garden, they can go out in the garden; if they like doing laundry, they could go help and do the laundry. It's giving them a sense of purpose. It was a very different way of doing things. Most places take a morning newspaper, and they discuss it so that people are up on the news, but here, they turned on the news on TV. At 7:00 p.m., these people are sleepy and they're not going to absorb it like they would in the morning.

It was nice. I really liked the room that they showed us and the lobby. The dining room was light and inviting. I liked that there was a CVS Pharmacy right next door. The parking and menu looked nice. It would have been one of my choices.

It was a lovely and beautiful facility. The only part we didn’t like was everybody in the memory care had very severe Alzheimer's. For somebody that wants to be in the middle where my grandmother has some dementia but she still can function really well, it wouldn’t have been appropriate for her to move over to there. The staff and everything was great. It just wasn’t a fit for us because there was no middle ground transitional. They seemed like they had good activities there and the facility was a little bit bigger. The room was really nice and big; they had one downstairs where you could have a balcony and a little garden.

I visited for my father. It seemed really nice. It was comparable with the other facility. Everything was very nice. The only person I met was the person that gave the tour, but everybody seemed nice. Everybody was calling each other by name. It was my second choice. The dining area was nice. The rooms were nice. The grounds were nice. The staff was friendly.

It is a nice place. The room has one bedroom, a living room, a small little kitchen area, and a fridge. I see my mom three times a day, and from what she said, the food is excellent. Everyday there is something new; there are in-house recreational activities, and then they have services to take them to movies and shopping.

We’ve had mother here for a couple of months. I think it’s an excellent facility. Everybody is extremely nice, and they’re conscientious. The physical therapy people are excellent. They have good food in restaurants. Everything about it is as well as you could possibly expect, so I would recommend it. It’s very clean. She’s in a semi-private room with 2 people in it. They have entertainers come in. They have a lot going on, so it’s very nice. Overall, everything about the facility is excellent. Once a while, things don’t go exactly like it should, but it’s not that much.

It was very friendly and had a lot of light. It's very clean. It's not the newest facility, but I liked it a lot. I liked the people who showed us the facility. I believe it was the manager and one other lady, and I was quite impressed with it. The room was quite small and a little sparse, but the people who move in can bring their own belongings and things to hang on the wall and so forth. We visited the dining room, and it seemed to be 70% full. People were eating and enjoying their meal and talking. They showed us everything there. There's a place for them to play games, a place for them to gather and do other things. It's not huge, but it would have been perfect for my mother if she had been willing.

I was impressed with the whole staff here. I liked the rooms. The dining room looks very clean and nice. When I went to the memory care unit, they were doing activities. I was also impressed with the outdoor area that residents could go out to without having assistance. It was secured.

Everything was very nice. The facility was very good. We went there right after a holiday and it was all decorated. Their rooms were really nice. Another thing I like about this facility is that outside each room, they had like a little shelf where each resident can put something on that like a flower or a little statue, so I thought that was very personal. It also made it more homey for their residents. I also like that when we got there, some of the residents were doing a class and they were all enjoying themselves. I would definitely recommend this place. However, the only thing that my husband didn't like about this was that the lady who gave us a tour, she sat at a desk while we sat at chairs like away from her. At other places, we all sat around a table, so it was like a family.
