My husband was at Le Bleu Chateau. I was very unhappy with them. The virtual tour was kind of tricky because I liked it better on the virtual tour than in person. When we admitted my husband, they let us in and we went to the room and set up everything. After that, that's when they informed us that we couldn't come see him. We had to visit on the patio, and they would bring him out. He was in memory care. We couldn't come through the gate. We had to stay out and visit and then they limited that to visiting through the window. I really didn't see him. I just called. The staff was nice enough, but they just looked awfully busy. When my husband moved in, he walked around, he got into everything, but he didn't fit into the community at first. They adjusted his medication to low doses and the next thing I know, he wasn't walking, he was in the wheelchair and then they were shipping him out. It was only like in the 6-week period. I felt that they misled me the whole time. They had me thinking he was walking around and the medicine was helping him and then things that were happening wasn't reported to me until it was really too late when I found out that he wasn't walking. He didn't make it. I let the director know that I was misled. I know my husband was walking and moving around and then six weeks later, they're shipping him out. I felt he was probably dehydrated. Everybody had their theory.
