I stayed at Siena Rehab for 3 weeks for PT & OT after being in a hospital for 5 days. The nurses were helpful and very professional. plus responded to my call push button on my bedside. The PT and OT were excellent, and the treatments were varied and at times FUN. For example, on one machine I had to pedal harder when I wanted the Porcupine, on the screen, to go right, to get under the ballon falling down from the top of the screen, to burst before it hit the ground. The machine kept score and I got better the more times I used it.

I had a visit at Kindred. The lady who took me through the place did a really great job. We were trying to figure out whether Mom would fit in or not. The place looked very clean, and the staff also looked like they were very busy. I saw some residents doing a Bible study and other activities.

I loved it at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Siena. The residents and personnel were wonderful. The food was acceptable, and the kitchen was very responsive. There were enough staff members; somebody would always come whenever I buzzed my light. I was really helped there. The physical therapist was wonderful. They also have a training center for beginning caregivers. It is in a very convenient location right in the medical area of Auburn with my doctor and the lab right nearby. They were very accommodating. I could go in and talk to the cook, and they made adjustments to my husband’s menu. They brought the meals out custom to the person. They have excellent occupational therapy.

My ex-husband was at Siena (Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Ð Siena). It was an older facility. They were able to take him out and they were very accommodating anytime of the day or night.

Mom stayed for two weeks at Kindred Siena. That place was very nice, and those folks were very warm. It had a nice setting for a skilled nursing home. Her care went well. She didn't always agree with the food, but she enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is a one-floor establishment, it has got a beautiful inside sitting and walking area, and the outside was surrounded by woods and other businesses that are orientated toward the aging or senior living, nursing care type of thing.

I was at Kindred Siena for a month, and now I'm over my surgery and I'm back home. The food was good, and the care was good. Everything was very nice. It was very comfortable as I live in Auburn, and I wasn't disappointed. The food was better.

Beautiful location and great faculty. I was overwhelmed with this feeling of comfort and calmness upon arrival. I was welcomed by some of the nicest staff I have ever seen and had the pleasure of knowing. They still call and say hi when I see them in town.

Located very close to Auburn's only hospital, Siena Care is often the nursing home of choice for those recovering from surgery or other issues that require hospitalization. Local doctors find it convenient to drop by. I would recommend it for short stays, especially if your loved one is in need of rehabilitation services. My father greatly benefited from the competent physical and occupational therapy staff. Some rooms are small and even crowded once visitors arrive, but they are spotless. Activities included live music, special food, crafts and games. There are large, nicely decorated common areas both outdoors and indoors with large screen televisions and computers. The greatest drawback is that call lights ring for up to 20 minutes before they are answered. Family advocates often need to walk to the nursing station to request help. The food was average, but there were alternate menu choices daily. You can bring food in if it meets dietary requirements. If my loved one needed long term placement I would not recommend Siena, but it was adequate for the eight weeks my father needed to stay.
