In Florida, care costs tend to be lower, with rates coming in at $3,700 per month. In Palm Beach County, which shares the Miami area’s assisted living cost data, average monthly rates are even lower at $3,500.
Palm Beach County is among the more economical options for seniors seeking assisted living in Florida at $3,500 monthly. Only a couple of cities have lower monthly rates, including the Tampa area, where seniors pay $3,225, and the Sebring area, where care costs are the lowest in the state at $2,895. In Jacksonville, assisted living fees exceed the state median but are lower than the overall national rate at $4,150. Care costs in Port St. Lucie are a little higher at $4,399, and in the Naples area, assisted living facilities charge $4,550 per month. The Villages, which is a planned 55+ community, is among the more expensive cities in the state for this level of care, with fees averaging $4,950 per month. The most expensive city for assisted living in Florida is Tallahassee, where seniors pay approximately $5,506 monthly.
