Punta Gorda offers the most savings in the area, with fees that are about $1,951 lower per month. Miami is closer in price to Estero, but its typical assisted living rate is still about $425 less.

In 2014, the state of Florida replaced all their HCBS waiver programs with the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care Long-Term Care Program (SMMC-LTC), which helps eligible seniors pay for assisted living costs.
