My husband moved into StoneBridge of Cabot. It's good. My husband likes it. It's expensive like most of them are. His apartment has a bedroom, a sitting area, and a kitchenette. There is no cooking place, just a fridge. It has a TV and a huge walk-in closet. They take them out to Walmart. They have a courtyard. They provide three meals a day. They have special lunches and dinners for holidays. They do have some interaction.

StoneBridge of Cabot had cottages that were appealing to us, and they had no more than 15 residents in a cottage. One of my friend's mothers was there. She was in the Alzheimer's unit though. It was nice and cozy, and they did not have any openings at the time that we checked them out. My mom needs a walker and she has osteoporosis, but her mind is with it. When I checked with them to ask what condition the residents were in if she were to be placed with 14 other ladies, they said that they couldn't guarantee that. They'd just take everybody and it's just wherever they have an opening, so I didn't really like that because I saw a lot of people just kind of sitting around and they had that glazed look about them. I knew that wasn't going to sit well with my mom and they didn't have any openings at the time anyway, but it was a great fit for my friend's mom. It just kind of depends on what you're looking for, but the staff there was very nice. The rooms were lovely. It was just personal preference. We didn't have a meal, but in the suite, they had someone there with the kitchen and you could sit right up at the bar or you could sit at a table and they would prepare the food there. I just met one person there and she was accommodating and nice. We didn't spend too much time with her. We just saw one of the cottages and she allowed us to ask questions. Compared to other places, it was a good value for your money.

Southridge Village of Cabot (Stonebridge of Cabot) is a very well taken care of place. They have a good director and nurses, but they seem to have a lot of turnover when it comes to the assistants. It's a really nice community overall, and the residents are fed well. They dont really have a lot of activities for the residents to do, but they do have Bingo, and a pastor comes in every Sunday.
