Please do not put your loved one in memory care. There is one CNA per house/cottage and they are responsible for EVERYTHING, including meal prep, which allows no time to care for anyone. My mom was left to her own devises during the beginning of the pandemic and lost a significant amount of weight in a very short time due to neglect. Upper management is not caring at all and did nothing to help us except make excuses for everyone.

I don't like Legacy Village Assisted Living. No one in our family got a good feeling when we walked in. It was dark, not friendly, and not inviting. I wasn't satisfied with the apartments. We were shown one of their household areas that was shut off, and it looked like it had been close for over a year or so. It wasn't a good example to show in general because it was one of the ten rooms inside the actual house itself. The apartments were extremely small, especially the studios. Everything was dirty because no one had been in there. Overall, it wasn't a really good representation of their individual communities. We didn't get to go into an actual apartment that was occupied by a resident. The person who gave us our tour that day wasn't personable or professional. It wasn't warm or inviting. The exterior looked beautiful though, and there was a walkway.

I am going to make this as detailed as possible. We have a loved one in this facilty that has been there for over 2 years. In the second year, with a change of administration, the quality of this care has diminished to a level we never imagined. The patients do live in cottages. However, the meals are prepared in house by the CNA's. The majority of meals are simple dishes that lack in quality. There is typically one CNA per house and employees change frequently. The medical care is not done by a physician by given to a nurse practitioner and is not thorough. With the onset of covid-19 and the inability of family to enter the facility, the care has become horrendous. When this is over, we will not be able to remove our loved one quickly enough. One of the male attendants have told us that with the staffing changes, it is impossible for them to provide adequate care. Thankfully this fine young Army veteran has taken a special interest in our loved one.

Of all the places I've toured, the one I like the most is Legacy Village. I like it because the community was divided into several different houses with 10 members in each house, so it didn’t feel like a hospital setting. The staff was nice, and the residents seemed fine. I saw their calendar of activities, and they have lots of things to do. I would recommend this place.

Legacy Village was a gorgeous facility. It was very spacious. They had very healthy meals. The office staff was wonderful.

This is a very open, inviting enviornment for individuals whose alzheimer's has not progress the late stages.
