My father came for therapy at a very cognitive level and left at the other end of the spectrum. His initial evaluation level was 4 the highest rating given and 1 month later he is discharged at a level 2. The care is horrible, no one comes for the call light. Luckily I am here daily after work and can do everything for my dad. No one follows up or returns phone calls not even the doctor. In my father's now non-cognitive state they would drop off food and leave, pick it up later and tell me he did not eat. They were not able to see he needed help after all this all started under their "non"care. After requesting they help him eat I did not see them offer to help. Once again drop off the food and leave. I was told they showered him but forgot to fill out the paperwork. You could clearly tell he was not showered. They will leave the patients in bed 24 hours a day. They force patients to use diapers even if they are able to use the bathroom. The biggest thing I learned here was they use the excuse of patients have rights and if a patient says no they can not force them do anything. This includes eating and drinking. This is their excuse for getting out work. I hear them say how under staffed they are but I hear their party at the nurses station daily. One girl doing her nails and another guy acting and yelling like he's a dinosaur. One patient was in a wheelchair at the nurses station with 5 nurse there and the guy in the wheelchair fell out of the wheelchair and had to be taken to the hospital. I saw one cna watch the whole thing and once the guy was on the floor blooding she looked away. I have never seen so many people taken out of a skilled nursing facility by ambulance. Do not take your worst enemy here let alone your loved ones. There is no question this is a for profit place and not for their moral obligation of providing care to patients.

Everyone there was absolutely wonderful from nurses, therapists, in house information I would give: Nurses and cna ***** Therapists ***** Meals ***** Cleanliness ***** Information about your stay and follows you would need ***** That they thought my British accent was cool not so much as I would love to lose it. Though I was there for a fall and had to have therapy I really loved the therapists I had a blast with them. When I left was known as the music lady love that nickname. Once again I wish I hadn't fallen but my experience there was easily 10/10

Do not ever place your loved one here. No care. No compassion. Over oxidation. Horrible food. No knowledge of history. No contact with doctors. Alienate patients.

My wife is diabetic. Her sugar level was over 500 around 3:00 pm. Her nurse called doctor to get he insulin. I called around 9:00 pm I was told doctor order to take measurement at midnight. 9 hours later. What kind of doctor is this? It takes one second to do that. I had to call the nurse and demand taking measurement. It was still over 250

This facility should be under investigation for failure to provide proper health care and person safety for their patients/residents. They don't follow strict procedures for medications and fail to oversee male visitors who remain after-hours in an all female occupied room. They exposed patients to mersa and other infectious diseases. My sister spent several years in this facility and experienced illnesses that were preventable, but due to their lack of sufficient medical care, she is now deceased! I wouldn't want anyone to experience what she did in this facility! WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY!!!

Sunview is a great place. My father has been a resident here for almost a year. The staff is really friendly and have worked hard to care for my father. Especially Holly, Justin and Rhonda. They have great at going above and beyond for my father. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Sunview Health & Rehabilitation Center's appearance is great, but the care is not good. The staff are just like robots, not very responsive, and are not good. They bring the food to my friend and he complains about it because it's pretty much tasteless. They should have better food and pay more attention to the residents there.

My husband suffered a stroke during a heart procedure on Jan 18, 2018. He was in very bad shape and after a week in CardiacICU he was transferred to Select hospital in Phoenix to help him transition off of the vent. After his time at Select they had me choose a SNF for additional rehad. It was really hard the first thing I did was read the reviews. I have come to the conclusion that only upset people post. The state ratings from Sunview were very good the reviews not so much. I took a chance and am very glad I did. The care at Sunview was amazing, all the therapy departments did a great job. The staff very friendly and attentive all the way down to the cleaning crew. Yes the room is small be adequate. The food was good and they made amazing progress with his rehab. After 30 days at Sunview he was able to move to a Stroke Rehab facility and is on the road to an amazing recovery. I am sorry for you if you are choosing a facility for a loved one but I would definitely recommend Sunview. The only thing that is lacking is their communication skills are not up to my standards but the quality of care has made up for it. Brenda S.

I see a lot of caring here. Every place needs work. I believe the CEO is working on this place. If you have issues, bring them up. THEY can ONLY fix what they know about

I am not at all happy with this place, if you Ask for medication bet prepared to wait and wait and wait! My cousin pressed the call light several times and still Nobody came to answer it. Finally I went to the nurses station and I couldn't find anyone finally I found s person and told them about my cousin's needs and they said they would be right there well they didn't come for awhile so I looked again only this time to find them all surrounding true nurses station talking and laughing I asked again about my cousin's medication and finally someone came to give them to him. I honestly believe of I hadn't been there they wouldn't have answered the call light at all! This place seriously needs to be looked into, while I was there nobody answered the call lights they would just walk on by and they seemed understaffed, as for my cousin's health I don't see any improvement and it's due to the lack care of this facility. I asked my cousin of he met any of the doctors and he said only one and he said he had asked to talk to a Dr. And they said they would tell them but still no one to this date not even a nurse practitioner. This place is terrible I wouldn't send your loved one here for anything right now I am trying to figure out who to complain to and get him moved out of this horrible place!

This place is bad news. My mother was in 2 other like facilities for 40 days each and never came home with a bedside. She was in here less than 20 days and came home with the beginningss of a sore and pnumioma and had to be hospitalized a couple days later. They also did not give her the PT she was supposed to receive. We had to go on private pay as she used up her 100 days. They said she had a swollen lymph node which turned out to be a big abcess around her colon which had to be drained by hospital staff. They sent adult protective services to our home reporting we took her home and she would have no care. We had 24/7 care setup and Gentive homecare. Also the case manager indicated that she was of no use to society because she was turning 90 and was so I'll. As I sit in a beautiful hospice facility with my dying mother I write this review I know as a homecare nurse stated this place and staff was detemental to my mother's health. Unfortunately had my family known what this facility would do we would not even taken a dog there. It has been recommended to me by medical professionals to file a complaint with the health department against this facility.

I've been to this place several times and the staff is not that friendly and my relative that's there kept falling out of bed and there reason for not having a bed rail was, that it's not there policy and it's like kidnapping. (according to another relative). She' right in front of a nursing station and on a respiratory machine and when the thing goes off, do you think they come in right away. No, she looks like she can't breath but that does not matter. They also state when asked for a chair, that the family members usually bring there own.

My father was in rehab at Sunview. It was OK; it wasn't superior but it wasn't bad either. The room was just like a hospital room with a bed, a bathroom, and a closet. I thought the staff was wonderful, but I just think they were way overworked. There were not enough people to take care of the patients. It definitely is better than some, but it is worse than some too, so it depends on your personal preference and what you are willing to put up with. They need to improve on their staffing-patient ratio.

I wanted to let people know that this facility is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend it! My mother is on a ventilator and we were told by several doctors that there was nothing they could do for her and to stop life support and let her go. We tried everything and we tried a few rehab facilities & skilled nursing facilities and they were all horrible and treated her so terribly that she wound up right back in the hospital. We didn't know where to turn or what to do. Just when we were about to give up hope, we found Sunview. We thought we would give mom one last chance and we are glad we did. She is improving, slowly but surely because of the kind and professional care she is receiving at Sunview. The staff there is outstanding in everything they do and mom is very well cared for. They have made her comfortable and us as well and given us all piece of mind and most of all hope. My sisters and I are grateful and can't thank them enough for everything they're doing. If you have had the worry of a safe, caring, comforting, and professional place to bring your loved one, stop looking, Sunview is it.

I wanted to express how impressed we have been with the level of care and the professionalism of Sunview's staff regarding the care of my brother. The exceptional work that they deliver has given everyone an added level of comfort. Living in California I don't have the opportunity to visit as often as I would like. The staff have been informative and engaged each time I have been in. Working in a health care quality improvement organization has made me extra sensitive to the consistency in care. The team deserves the recognition that they are fulfilling the mission to have residents and their families feel loved, informed, and comfortable. My brother goes through cycles of sleep where his hours awake often don't align with family visits. The staff recently contacted my parents to let them know that my brother was awake if they wanted to stop in for a visit. We believe that is exceptional customer service and compassion.
