    I visited this facility

Desert Villa has been in business for about 19 years they are owned and family run. The majority of their caregivers have been their 4 years and longer. The provide excellent, loving, care for all their residents. They take all 3 levels of care. They will work with most families to come up with the best plan of care possible. They have 2-3 staff on for 10-16 residents, plus one of the owner/managers is usually there or available. Their meals are great, it always smells and looks great. They do a huge variety of activities, but always gear it towards the residents they have at the time. They don't have an RN on 24/7 but they have an in house doctor, who is available anytime, they also work with hospice and they use nursing services for all other needs. Every one I have ever seen there seems happy and has nice things to say about living there. They respect the residents rights and their wants.

This is a large house with 10 residents. They have private and semi-private rooms. Private have own bath and others shared baths. They are large rooms. All are handicapped equipped. They have an outside fenced large yard with grass and large patio. There is a bbq. They have a large livingroom with tv and a dining room. The home is clean and nicely decorated. There is an RN on duty 5 days a week and on call. The caregivers are all certified. They are licensed for 3 levels of care. They have a lot of residents who come there for rehab and then go home. There is a house doctor who visits. The staff seems to be good with caregiving. They do housekeeping and laundry. They have home cooking with 3 meals a day and 2 snacks. There is a rotating menu. The food is good. Activity wise they have bingo. exercises, bbqs and holiday celebrations. They rely on mostly family to take residents out. This a nice appearing and clean facility but feel it lacks in activity stimulation for residents.
