I came to Academy Villa in 2010 because I definitely needed physical help and they were my closest and most reasonable choice. I have not regretted my move and now that my husband has joined me, I am certain it is the best place for us. I feel the caregivers, the heart of such facility are well chosen for their jobs. While a diverse group in age, experience, personality, they work well with the residents and other caregivers.
What you can do with Caring
About Academy Villas in Tucson, Arizona
The personalized care, beautiful settings and extensive amenities of the The Academy Villas create a new kind of assisted living for its residents. PERSONALIZED CARE Caregivers are involved in all aspects of life in the Villas, from food preparation and meal service to administrating medications and assisting residents with challenging tasks. Because our caregivers are extensively engaged in all aspects of life in the Villas, they forge strong bonds with residents so that, together, they collaborate on care and well-being, and delight in each other's company. BEAUTIFUL SETTINGS Two stand-alone residences, nestled in the Rincon Valley, accommodate 14 and 16 residents, respectively, in large private guest rooms and inviting common spaces. Bringing these attractive architectural features together with highly trained caregivers achieves not only an exceptionally high standard of care, but also an environment that is engaging and safe for our residents. EXTENSIVE AMENITIES The Academy Villas are situated in the heart of a small, highly engaged 55+ community known as Academy Village. In addition to the array of amenities available in the Villas, residents have ready access to additional amenities offered by the village, from a swimming pool, spa and tennis courts to musical concerts, fascinating lectures, and new learning opportunities. Interesting books are available from the Tucson Public Library bookmobile, in addition to two 0n-site libraries. Perhaps more importantly, Villagers take pride in the aging-in-place opportunities provided by the Villas and enjoy their involvement with Villas' residents and staff. NON-PROFIT AND LOCALLY MANAGED The Academy Villas are owned and operated by a tax-exempt, non-profit organization located within Academy Village. The vast majority of the Villas' revenue is spent on personalized care, quality of life, providing amenities, and maintaining the facilities; very little is expended on administration and no funds are allocated to profit. To learn more about this provider's license and review other available state reports, please visit: Arizona Department of Health Services Public Health Licensing

Both of my parents lived together at the Academy Villas for six years. The caring staff and "home-like" atmosphere meant they received the individualize care they needed. I was confident they were well taken care of as they became more frail.

Excellent facility, always clean, good food, comfortable, beautiful desert setting. Excellent staff, always cheerful, respectful, helpful, act like extended family, and loving. I could not found a better home for my mother.
