My wife is at Mirabella at ASU right now. It's a perfect place and all the nurses are very well-trained. The food is good. There's minimal parking when you go there, but they do pay for parking in the ASU parking lot. They provide full physical therapy and speech training. They have doctors and nurses and they can provide any medical care. They can give shots, give infusions, the whole deal. It's a brand new building and it is very clean. They come in and take care of your room every day. Take care of your bathrooms every day. The building is beautiful. They have a portal that you can use, and so you sign on to the portal. So, anything that happens at any time, it comes up on the portal and they do call you and communicate with you.

If zero stars were available that would be the score for the healthcare area, second floor..Skilled Nursing Facility.. Absolutely horrible, I had my spouse removed after 6 days. He was left twice in soiled diapers overnight 2 days apart, same employee, 1st time stating she would return and never did, 2nd time she did change him and he stated she needed to come back and she said that she would not be back and never returned.. This resulted in acidity burns and sores from laying in waste for many hours and the facility fully aware of his health conditions and medications taken.. We were told they would bring in a riser for their commode to assist in utilizing the bathroom to avoid skin issues..this was discussed on 5/5/24 and was finally brought to him the evening of 5/8/24.. After the first skin incident on 5/5/24, we discussed bringing in a urinal and bedside commode, again to assist staying on top of toileting needs.. This never happened. My spouse was there 6 days, he was never given a shower, changed his gown one time, even though I brought his clothes as requested the day after he was admitted. He was not served breakfast twice in his stay, once because he was asleep when they were delivering food and 2nd time was they woke him to ask what he wanted to eat, he said nothing right now but some water, I called at 8:45am and was told the kitchen was closed.. I was able to get them to get him some yogurt.. He is taking medication to take with food..again they were aware of it. I had to bring in his hydrocortisone cream, because they did not have any, I brought in his own diapers because theirs were too small and irritating his skin.. PT and OT were suppose to be doing services 5 days a week.. He received evaluations on Monday, both therapies on Tuesday, OT came in a Wednesday and did another evaluation for his new place and never again.. This is a nice place and all you hear is it's a 5 star place.. it is a zero star place for healthcare and patient safety.. Absolutely the worst place we have ever been. I was there everyday for numerous hours as well as making calls in the evening hours...

My Dad broke his hip and we took him here for his rehab. Dad got MRSA and it went into sepsis. Dad's Doctor was not contacted for follow up. The care at mirabella was terrible. They are understaffed. The nurses cannot get to every patient. Had my Dad been treated sooner, he may still be alive. I would not recommend this facility. I called and spoke with one of the Directors, with my concerns and I never heard back . My Dad died shortly after he got sepsis.

Mirabella at ASU is beautiful and it's brand new so people don't have to go on a waiting list at this point. It's very expensive but on the other hand, it's one of the CCRCs around so you're going in for a specific reason, perhaps needing a continuing care facility. It just opened up, the first people moved in last December, it's brand new and they just actually had the grand opening last week. I was there thrice, twice by myself and my husband went with me the last time. The staff spent a great deal of time taking us around and showing us all the different units that we would be able to go for. The place is gorgeous, brand-new, and a 20-story facility. It's just opening up so things like the spa are just being finished.
