My mom was a resident at this facility after suffering a stroke. The staff is not friendly. My mom's nails were never trimmed unless I complained about it. They rarely removed her dentures to brush them. The smell in the building was overwhelming bad. My mom developed a sore on her toe that was not taken care of resulting in a trip to the hospital for IV antibiotics. The podiatrist was planning to remove her toe due to the infection being all of the way to the bone. While waiting for surgical clearance she suffered a fatal stroke and passed away. My mom told me that when she would complain of pain to the staff at the care center they told her "it's just a toe, it can't hurt that bad." Whatever you do please don't let your family members go here. The staff doesn't care about their patient's at all.

I CAN NOT believe the reviews o red about this facility. It is like walking in to hell with no escape. My mom had a hip replacement and was sent to this place after being released. The first night she was there her roommate cried and begged for help for 3 hours before someone responded. They had to call 911 to get her back to the hospital for cate. I watch the wound care specialist clean her wound that was leaking fluid and it was all over her shirt and the bed. I assumed someone would come in and clean the bed linen. The smell was horrendous and got worse every day. When she arrived and was ready for her meds she asked the nurse to explain what they wete giving her.The nurse told her she had to take them and my mom said she was mot taking anything g she did not know was. The nurse got angry and actually stared verbally demeaning her! The food is NOT edible I could go on but bottom line they released her with a bed sore and infection if the wound. They left no supplies or no instruction on how to clean the wound She ended up back in the hospital 2 days later with the infection that turned to sepsis. The had to remove the hip they had put on and she will have to have another put in when the i fiction clears. It has been 3 weeks and she is on drip antibiotics. She almost died in their care. This place seriously ! I still have nightmares about what they are doing to the people in their care! It is beyond sad! Nursed there need to lise their credentials -it is that bad!

From lack of on boarding to lack of exit information. This was by far one of our worst experiences to date. Bed was broken told him it would talk 3-4 days to get replacement he was there 20 days. TV was broken the entire time too. He had one bath in 20 days. No PT, no OT only 3 sessions of speech therapy. Interactions with staff was flat out insulting! Add to that the staff caught Covid and patients were left to fend for themselves due to lack of proper staffing, I simply would never recommend this place to anyone.

You will be left to sit in waste for hours, never bathed, and meds are not given on time. The food takes forever to get to you since the CNA's are never around because they are too busy all smoking. If you get dinner by 6:00, that is a good day but it is cold and tasteless anyway. If you need help cutting food, too bad- they run in throw your tray down and run out. Do not expect to brush your teeth, have help with combing your hair, or even having any respect given to you. The staff complains about the nursing supervisor all the time when they think you cannot hear. One nurse was complaining about lack of staff. No activities, you are left to sit in a room all day by yourself. I did not get the correct therapy and when questioned I was told they would look into it. You are better off going home and getting home health to come in. I wish I never came here. Worst mistake of my life.

Unfortunately my sister was sent to this place after she was released from the hospital. My sister fell two times, and nobody came to help her, she had to get up off the dirty floor by herself. She called for a Nurse because she had to use the restroom, and after 11/2 hours this wonderful skilled Nurse came to her room, poke her head in the room, she told my sister Just go in your bed! My sister had to lay in soiled sheets for 2 1/2 days. I made them bring clean sheets of course they were not happy. So I made her bed. She has the biggish bed sore I have ever seen, I know it is infected after laying in soiled sheets. They have not done anything for it. Please do not send Anybody you care about to this place. This place is awful awful.

This is a terrible place for loved ones . The staff generally doesn’t care about each other or the patients . The managers are manipulative to family’s and each other . The food wasn’t bad for a nursing home but often cold due to lack of staff. Cleanliness was good besides the horrible cigarette smell from the patio . It’s good they fired the rude activity director! Families beware .

My brother-in-law has been at this facility for almost ten years. My husband and I have visited, weekly, for all this time. We're always pleased to see that it is very clean and the employees are ,always , pleasant, and friendly! I asked my brother-in -law, and he said the rooms are clean, the food is good, and I love how the staff interacts with him. They are like good friends and everyone talks to him,and calls him by name. My brother-in-law is in a private room which he prefers. The have crafts to do, and birthday parties, and other hobbies. They offer a barber and hair styling , so patients can look their best, without leaving the area. I love the outside veranda that patients and guests can watch the wildlife, enjoy , the weather, and just talk, or enjoy the solitude. You can join the patient , for an inexpensive ,but tasty meal. I liked how the staff helped patients with their food, if they were having difficulty This year, they gave us a large room to throw a surprise birthday party for our family member. It was quite the celebration! A few weeks ago, they had a lady selling inexpensive jewelry. It was pretty ,and the people could afford it. They offer other things, like this, throughout the year. If I had to enter a facility, I would, definitely, choose this one!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with this facility. My grandmother was a patient here and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the management as well as how well-kept and cleanly was!

One CNA for 71 residents on night shift, average time to get a nurse to call light more than an hour. Under multiple investigations by APS. Don't send anyone here and encourage any hospital or Physician to send patients elsewhere.

My relative was in this facility for 3 weeks following surgery for a broken hip. I constantly had to request water for her and there was a severe shortage of personnel. The overall care was very poor. After she was discharged, she was subsequently diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and pneumonia, neither of which were detected prior to her release. She passed away three weeks later. Do no allow your loved one go to this facility.

My father-in-law has been at Sun City Health and Rehabilitation Center for a month now. The place is very clean, and the people are very friendly. It's a positive place for him. He has Parkinson's and had fallen the first hour he was there, and the staff was on him immediately checking his vitals so it's a very clinical setting but perfect for him. They have cooking classes, Bingo, a lot of memory care work, physical therapy and on-site doctors. They have shared rooms.

I would not bring my dog to these people to take care of I've lived here for over a year-and-a-half and I have seen so much unprofessionalism and mismanagement of training and following up on what they do. Wouldn't bring a family member here for anything in the world

I'd give it fewer stars if I could. I am not saying there aren't some caring and able people there, but I didn't see them much. I went after TKR because i had no on at home to help, having moved recently. I got there at 1 or 2 in the afternoon, day 2 after surgery. They"lost" or confused my medication order so that finally, at 11:00 that evening, after doing without pain medication (supposed to be continual to insure that I moved), they had to raid extra supplies from elsewhere. Some of my meds, I didn't get until the next night (blood pressure included). The room I was in had a toilet that wouldn't flush right - it usually too two tries and it would never stop running. I asked to be moved. I got a bathroom that wouldn't flush at all and had an odor. They told me to just use the commode. I finally met the maintainence guy when he handed my my breakfast. I told him I wasn't supposed to have orange juice, being diabetic. He said, sorry, he didn't know since he was just helping out and actually worked maintainance. So I asked him to fix the toilet, which he did, but didn't tell me; I did find out the next day. If I wanted to bathe in the morning (who doesn't) I was never given a basin. I was expected to pick up a towel they laid down, lean down and get my soap, walk into the smelly bathroom and stand at the sink with my walker and wash. Now, I have one very weak knee and couldn't really balance - this meant I could wash my face, etc, but never my private parts. Plus the smell...I was supposed to get PT everyday but didn't get it until my 5 or 6th day. Fortunately, I'd had the surgery on the other knee a few years ago and knew many of the exercises I could do in bed and did them or who know what trouble I might have had? Like many nursing homes, they feed you what is cheap and control your diabetes with medication. I would not go back here or recommend it to anyone. Occupational therapy folks were good.

Don't ever send anybody to Sun City Health and Rehabilitation Center! It smelled like urine all the time. This is how bad they were: the resident doctor came in at 4:30 a.m. and my wife was just waking up from her sleep, and she asked my wife, "Do you know who I am?" and my wife said, "You know, I saw so many people, I don't know who you are. Why? You're my doctor?" and she said, "Yeah." Because of that, they put my wife down as combative and incoherent. Also, every time this doctor would stick her head in the door, it would be $180, and she'd ask, "How are you?" I was so disgusted with her. She would do this once or twice a week, just stick her head in the door, and yet when they released my wife, she had a staph infection that was over a month old. It was horrible. Because we didn't know what it was, we had to take her to a family doctor, and he said, "My God! You have a staph infection!" That's how bad this facility was. They were horrible. We chose this facility because it was one of the places that the hospital recommended.
