I recently visited my Aunt. I was really skeptical about hospitals and places as such, but this facility made me see a new light. The cleanliness was impeccable. The friendly staff members, so very helpful and professional. The ones I met were Laurisa, and Geysa and nurses Lindsay and Eva were so attentive and amazing. My mindset is of places like this is of much higher regard due to their caring and knowledge.Thank you Ladies!! My Aunt is in good hands.

The POOR rating (1 Star) for the Sante’ of North Scottsdale Rehabilitation Center reflects the below standard medical and patient service levels experienced during my wife’s recent stay. Their on-boarding process fell short, resulting in missed transport, medicines not being available and treatments lacking for 2 days. The medical staff was under staffed, seemly under skilled and chronically unresponsive. Mistakes were made in the delivery of prescriptions and IVs. Response times normally exceeded 30 minutes when pinged from bedside. Decisions took forever to be made. Actions promised were not communicated and handoffs fell through the cracks since there seemed to be no ownership, lack of accountability and no follow through. My wife and I had to manage daily care. The staff was stressed. Many were clearly not happy with their work situation. All these execution mistakes led to our decision to pull my wife out of the facility after the 3rd day. My wife did not feel safe staying there any longer. Unfortunately, I learned from another family there that they too were dissatisfied and were in the process of leaving that day also. I would not recommend this facility for rehab services. (Special thanks to CNAs Tyra and Cassie for their cheerful attitudes and wonderful care. You were much appreciated).

Exceptional service and friendly/helpful attitude by "Kat" in Case Management. She fulfills all roles in client service, or will make certain the patient and family are served quickly and efficiently.

I was at Santé of North Scottsdale. I had been there about five years ago, and I was pleased with it at that time, so when I needed another skilled nursing, I went back. However, I was disappointed with them. I'm a new paraplegic but I got very little PT and OT. They came in together and spent 15 minutes with me instead of 40 minutes each. I had my call light on one time for two and a half hours and nobody even peeked their head at the door. The nursing assistants were wonderful. They gave really good care. However the nursing staff would take two hours to get my pain medication to me, and sometimes longer. It's a beautiful facility. It's very nice. They have kitchenettes in each room. They're all private rooms. There are no set visiting hours. You can have somebody stay the night if you like. The facility itself is beautiful. The nursing assistants were all very, very good. The PT and OT were extremely difficult to work with.

After reading the reviews of this facility I was a bit nervous to have my dad placed here. What I have come to realize is that sometimes you have to experience things for yourself and not go on what others perception may be. My dad is 82 years old and had been pretty independent until a fall a few weeks ago. Being placed in a facility such as Sante can be a nightmare but Sante relieved all of my previous concerns and doubts. My dad has received the care he deserves and very much needed. He is one of many patients and yet they make sure that he is looked after and clean throughout the day. The rooms are nice and kept clean. The staffs interaction with him is pristine. He can be a bit to handle at times as he is impatient but they calm his anxiety and reassure him that they are there to assist him. I am very familiar with this industry as my mother worked in it for over 40 years. I know what to look for and what is unacceptable. Sante, is a nice clean facility, staff are approachable and assit where they can and they do treat your loved one with dignity and respect. I guess some people want individualized attention all day every day and if that is the case then they need to hire private services. This type of facility has to service many people at the same time and I am sure they are experiencing staffing issues as most businesses around the country are.

Made me do at least one star, but should be zero stars, just read the reviews here and on caring dot com and others. My mother was in there about a month ago, and the neglect, mishandling and just downright not giving a hoot about the patients was amazing. Worst one of so very many was when I requested a meeting in the room with their leadership team. One of the topics I covered was it looked like she was getting or was dehydrated. They were adamant that she was not. Guess what, 30 hours later she had an IV in because she was....drum roll...dehydrated! The so called "head" of therapy was a joke, my mom was only a number to her and she could care less about the patient. Then she got moved to covid "ward", and we had to mask up and gown up...BUT...the nurse came in and didn't have to????? My mom had never left her room, so I wonder where she got the covid from in the first place? The cherry on top, the nurse ran in, gave us mom's meds and said "give her these" and left quickly. I assume so she didn't have to mask up ???? I've been to a circus with more professionalism than this. Oh, and the " CMS-rated 5-star facility"? My guess it's from people that drop off their parents and rarely visit so have zero clue how bad it is. Don't forget about the entire kitchen/restaurant staff mass exodus and the foodservice being a screwed up mess. If I had a dog that was dying of rabies I wouldn't take it to this place. The only decent employee that cared there was Maggie, the Social Services Director. The rest of them? pffftt.

The care here, or lack thereof, is life-threatening. Please heed the comments from other people on this site as well as my own. They left my relative in the bathroom and didn't come back when called for a half an hour or longer. Dangerous fall risk when the patient tried to get up by herself. Unless the patient has a family member that is constantly overseeing the care, it is a dangerous place to be for people with serious health conditions. Medical records did not get forwarded two specialists in a timely manner, or at all. Beyond the clinical failures, the rooms have furniture that is beat up, carpet that has food stains on it, Etc.

My mom (81) was at Sante for 5 nights after a hospital stay. She was wearing a heart monitor and had an IV for a UTI. I was lucky to be visiting her when she started vomiting. The nurse on duty took my Mom’s blood pressure and it was 202/134. We asked the nurse to call 911. She said she called the doctor and they would get her a transport to hospital. I was told it was AMA (against medical advice) if I called 911. I was also told because it was AMA, If I called 911, her stay would not be covered by Medicare. By the time the paramedics got there (about 30 min.), they asked why there was not a 991 call and rushed her code 3 to Scottsdale North Hospital. They were very worried about stroke with that high of blood pressure. She was in critical care for hours and then admitted to the hospital for 5 days. Her heart is still fragile and being closely monitored. No one was there from Sante to meet with the paramedics or even walk us out. Just me and I was so glad I was there. The nurse was rude and very unresponsive. My mom also had difficulty earlier in her stay. The transport, arranged by Sante was very late in getting her to her Dr. appointment on time. She was very late to the appointment and it caused her so much stress. This is just not fair treatment.

My wife was sent to this facility from Honor Health Hospital on Osborne. She is a type 1 diabetic and is known as a fragile diabetic having suffered from the disease for many years. This facility, and the supposed to be doctor, allowed her blood sugar to go to portions that only measured high for three days and would not administer enough insulin to correct the problem. I finally demanded that she be transferred to a hospital where she was treated for keto acidosis a possible life threating problem and extremely high blood pressure. I got her transferred by a threat to call 911 if they did not move her. She was transferred to Honor Health on Thompson Peak where she was determined to be critically ill and underwent three days of emergency and ICU treatment then was moved to the hospital after this course of treatment. In short they almost killed a person who is functional. it is overall a terrible place with a staff that is incompetent, and doctors that are non existent. I would never send anyone there for any reason.

If I could give this awful place a -5 stars it would be more accurate, patients are not cared for here! If you are not a Ortho patient DO NOT GO HERE! My dad could not get out of bed on his own, or feed himself, was completely dependent on staff, he lost 23 pounds while in there which is odd since he has a feeding tube. There where days he did not get his nutrients required, his meds where never given on time or at all on somedays! Was made to sit in his own feces for over 2 hours as no one would answer the call button. I quit my job to spend the days with him, that's the only way he received any care. Visiting hours are only 9-5 so after 5 my Dad was left to fend alone, hard to do when you can not hardly speak due to a medical condition you can not shower on your own, and they have days they will give you a shower unacceptable for a person with incontinence issues. Only a handful of staff seemed to care, Kimberly front receptionist was great, Patty from PT was amazing, Danny from OT was great as well as Jared cna who is a gem. Please reconsider placing your loved one here. I honestly thought he would die in there. Nurses are overwhelmed and just don't care.Thankfully he had a procedure done off site and we removed him from this horrible place to care for him in home where at least we know he will be cared for.

This place is the absolute worst place to put you adult elderly family member. My father was in there over Thanksgiving holiday and stayed 3 weeks and had the worst experience ever. My father was 82 years old. I realize that we are in the middle of a pandemic but for God sake the nurses and aid don't have to be so rude and mean to the patients! I have two videos fro. My dads phone that I can only hear bc he had the phone faced down most of the time but hearing was enough for me. They treated my poor father like garbage. They never made sure that he had eaten his meals or even drank anything. He lost 22 lbs while he was there and they never bothered to even have him checked out. The doctor I spoke with never even mentioned mentioned that he wasn't eating no one did. All they did with him was lock him in his room day and night. My father was begging my daily to get hi. Our of there and I should have. I regret ever taking him there. He passed away shortly after and I'm sure his starvation for the 3 1/2 weeks he was there didn't help either. Please stay away from here

This place has been a nightmare! My father who is a veteran, has been there almost 2 weeks. They lost his new hearing aid that was issued by the VA. The staff and nurses are the rudest I have ever encountered. His phone in his room was not working for 2 days and no one would replace it or let him talk with me for 2 days and it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! I left several messages throughout the day from 12:30 to 8:30 pm and finally on the 3 day they magically got his phone replaced!?!?!. There was no managers there to speak with. When you call the phone just rings and rings? The staff are very condescending on the phone and don’t care that I can’t see him as they are in quarantine because of covid, so talking on the phone with my 85 year old father is so important... they do not care!! Do not go to this place ever!!!!!!!!

My dad was in Santee and was provided with excellent care. He couldn’t walk when he first came to Santee but after a week of physical therapy he was back to walking. Was able to go home. Don’t ever go to life care center across the street from Shea hospital that place is terrible. I am thankful my dad was in Santee. Food excellent and very very friendly staff made my dad feel comfortable and he wasn’t lonely.

My recommendation is to read reviews before choosing a placement for your loved one. I didn’t do my homework. Very disappointed with Santé of North Scottsdale. Cons Appears to be very understaffed- late to pick up at previous facility to admit to Santé, didn’t empty urinal sitting on tray with food, long wait time for meds, CNA rarely checked in, rarely changed sheets, help with shower twice in 3 weeks terrible communication-case managers rarely returning phone calls to family members, different PTs OTs so no consistency, Lost 2 weeks+ of progress because of missed Ortho doctor appointment, then discharged because of no progress, Sent to next placement without pain med prescription (and has two broken legs, broken pelvis, broken ribs to name a few) Pros attractive facility, patient liked the food

The therapy department and Care Manager were incompetent and discharged my parent without proper medical equipment, failed to provide proper prescriptions. Failed to send home health staff to the right address. Overall failed to provide a safe discharge plan. My parent has fallen and been found on the floor 3 times within 2 days of being discharged, it took over 24 hours to get his prescriptions filled, the home health nurse came 2 days after discharge. They ordered the wrong wheelchair and didn't order any other medically necessary equipment. I have reported them the the Arizona Health Department and plan to pursue justice through an investigation for my parent or anyone else at this facility. As a health professional, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY

I’m in Sante of North Scottsdale. This is a great rehab, and the help is wonderful. Our room is good-sized, and it has a nice private bath. Whatever you’d want, it’s all right here. I have no complaints.

Santé of North Scottsdale was very nice. I liked that it was more like an apartment place, and was very clean and smelled nice. The people were so nice. They had bingo as an activity.
