We're happy with Boulder Gardens, and my brother is happy because he gets to stay in Prescott and go to the different programs with the VA. Plus he enjoys the people and the food; he's really happy. The only room that they had me look at has almost the same type of floor plan as my brother's apartment. We like it because the doors are on the outside, so it's like his own place. It used to be a motel that was renovated to be an assisted living place, so all the doors are on the outside, which we like. He has his own bathroom, and he likes that too. They have lots of different things, they have bingo, crafts, and there are several different things he's involved with. He also goes to the VA three times a week and has arts and crafts there. They also go on outings, they take the residents to the store and get supplies or whatever they want. The staff is very nice and patient with my brother as well, because he can be a little bit annoying sometimes. I really am pleased with them. We're also very pleased with the price versus what we're getting.

Boulder Gardens Assisted Living is too small and I didn't like the atmosphere because it's too depressing. I wasn't happy with that. They also charge so much more than the place we ended up choosing. They had a lot of activities and they also have a nice dining room, they serve you whatever food you want to eat. I thought the rooms were like motel rooms kind of. They had a library also. But the people there were nice, the staff was efficient, and the food was alright.
