My sister is in Glassford Place and settling in very well. It's a nice size and completely a memory care facility. It's locked down on the outside with access to a courtyard in the middle, so my sister is able to go outside. The place is small enough that it's very personal, and not so big that my sister could get lost. They have a place for exercise, computer room, and TV room where they have movies. They do all their laundry for them if they want or they can do it themselves. There are a lot of interactive classes like singing and a lot of entertainment. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but sometimes when I go there, it's hard to find somebody. Other than that, they're really good. The food is a little bland but the really good thing about it is that if my sister doesn't like what they're serving, they're happy to make something else.

Glassford Place was a smaller facility. It might be an opportunity for more one-on one and a little more personalized care because it was a smaller family. I met with both the director and one of the nurses there, and they were all very helpful and nice. The only thing I would put against that is that it's just not quite as convenient. It's about seven or eight miles away, so it's a little bit farther to get there. But in terms of the facility itself, it was excellent. They showed me a very nice room, and I liked the layout. It's also a smaller distance to travel from the rooms to the dining room, etc., which is good for someone who is using a walker. It looked like they used their dining room as their facility room, where they have games and things like that.

Glassford Place was very nice. It was a much smaller facility, it was all on one level, and it had a nice outdoor atrium in the middle. Many of the rooms looked out on this garden area, so it made it a pleasant environment. The room that I would've chosen for my friend was a studio and it would've looked out on this garden area as well. It had a very friendly atmosphere. The staff was very informative, very understanding of my friend's situation, very pleasant, and very knowledgeable about the facility. They had a nice dining room, activities for the residents, and exercise classes, and they took people out into the community for various outside activities. They had an interior hallway and you really couldn't get lost in there because it just went completely kind of in a square, so I thought the layout was very good. It was nice and light inside.

I went to visit Glassford Place for my mom. The staff is incredibly nice, it's a smaller place than where she is now. The people that I met there were very good, they're very nice and helpful. The place itself was very nice and clean, but it just wasn't my mom's cup of tea because it felt more like a home. They had two or three courtyards, and they had one set up for family events with a grill, and things like that. It's a smaller place, but it was very nice.

I like Glassford Place in that it was a smaller community with a nice staff who seems to have a good rapport with their patients. They have a nice courtyard to sit in with grass. The one-bedroom was a fine size. The smaller room wouldn't work for us. They have a media room where they do arts and crafts and watch movies. The location is small. They don't house a lot of people, and I liked that they don't have to go into memory care. Everything there, they could take care of the person till the end of life. The facility is nice. It's a lovely community for an active senior.

We toured Glassford Place, and it was a good pick for us because it's close to home. They are excellent. It's a small facility, so it's good for some people -- especially if you require a lot of care. They seem to be on top of everything. It was a very nice facility. The staff is excellent and awesome. They gave us lots of good information. It was clean. They have a lot of activities for their residents. Everybody seemed quite happy. We saw a few people when we came in; they were playing a game. It was a much older, probably less active community at Glassford Place.

The Glassford Place was very nice. It's homey and all single floored. It only did assisted living, no independent living. It seemed to be okay. The people that lived there seemed to be pretty happy and comfortable. All the staff seemed pretty busy. Denise was good. The place was very clean; it seemed fine. I saw a studio and a 1-bedroom. They are certainly enough for a single individual. The location wasn't good for me. It was like a half hour away from me.

My brother-in-law was in Glassford for a month, but then he had to go into hospice. It was a nice place, the people were very good, and it was pretty clean. They were very attentive to him. They had 40 people there, and it was all one floor, which was kind of modern. His room was very comfortable and had a TV, and it was private.
