Tangelo Grove was the answer to our prayers. My grandma broke her hip and couldn't live at the independent-living community apartment anymore because she needed more help and she was having some memory issues too. I feel like she got a new lease on life when she moved into Tangelo Grove. She is happier than I have seen her in years. The caregivers are amazing! They really seem to love what they do. We were especially relieved to find a place where the staff is awake at night in case grandma is up. We know she is safe and loved. The staff always makes us feel welcomed. They always invite us to stay for meals, which are surprisingly good. My grandma use to spend all her time in her room...Not at Tangelo Grove. The other day I came in and she was bowling in the hall with a caregiver and two other residents. I just can't say enough good things about this place!!!

My grandma has been here for 8 months and this place is wonderful. The caretakers not only treat her like family, but my sister and I as well. There are 10 residents and it feels just like a home...I'll often come in to find 2 or 3 of them sitting in the kitchen while the caretakers cook, or they'll watch tv in the living room or go for walks...they're not stuck in their rooms. The facility is an old ranch house and it's gorgeous...a huge backyard with orange trees, a swimming pool (gets those grandkids to visit!) and an organic garden that the residents help with. There is an 'activity' almost every day; playing catch, doing chair yoga, listening to music, arts and crafts, getting hair & nails done, gardening, watching a movie, story time, etc. There is a party once a month that gets all the families together so everyone gets to know each other and it adds to the "home" feeling. My grandma thinks she's at a country club :)
