I moved my 91 year old friend into assisted living 2 years ago. The entire experience has been very positive! The nurses and caregivers were all very attentive and friendly. Special acknowledgement to LPN Fernando who was always so helpful making sure my friend was ready for appointments and checking on her when she wasn't feeling well. Kudos to Martin and the entire maintenance team as well for going the extra mile, always with a smile on their face. The food was very good and there were many activities to keep everyone engaged. Administrator Jonathan Knew me by name and was always very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend La Siena for anyone looking for a place to call home.

I toured La Siena. Everything is good. The staff was very friendly and charming. When you come in through the door, they greet you right away. They will give you a seat and have somebody come and see you or whoever you made an appointment with. And then they took me to a nice room where they interviewed people trying to apply. The structure of the building looks very strong. It's made out of bricks. and everything else is beautifully done. They have a nice terrace for entertaining guests. They have a ballroom, and a nice big library, and the dining room is served by servers in uniform. When I stepped inside, the people were nice, and they greeted me. Some people were trying to check-in. I was introduced to one of the residents, she was reading a book and was nice. But other than that, being that it is so big, I didn't see many residents except the one walking by and saying hello. The rooms were big, and they had modern appliances.

My mom moved to La Siena after a bad experience at another local independant living facility. This place is amazing. My mom is very young to be in a place like this (67 but with the beginnings of Alzheimer's disease) and was worried she wouldn't meet people who had a lot of energy. It has been quite the opposite, there are always events happening, people come by and make sure she is always present for the events she is excited about (happy hour, trivia, dinner, etc.) and she has made great friends here. The room was clean and they repainted and put in new carpet before she moved in. She loves the food, even with being a vegetarian and the staff have been wonderful. This place is more expensive than a few others we toured, but well worth it in terms of events, friendliness, qualifications of staff, the grounds are well maintained and everyone staff and residents are happy and well cared for. I couldn't ask for a better facility.

La Siena has independent living and assisted living there (I checked out their independent living), but they don't have assisted living in a separate facility. It was explained to me that one side of the corridor was assisted living and one was independent living, but I'm 78 years old and probably in pretty good shape, and the people that I saw there were in walkers and wheelchairs. It looked to me like a nursing home and I want to be around people that have more energy and life. It was just depressing to me. I feel sorry for those people and I would do anything for them if they asked. The staff was very nice and the person who gave me the tour was just so welcoming and very helpful. She just couldn't do enough for me. The rooms were OK. They were not light and bright. They were a little bit dark. I know you can brighten it up with your own things, but it wasn't the same feeling that I got when I was at this other facility. I had lunch there and it was very good. Their dining room was open. There weren't that many people in it, but there were several in there. It was very quiet. It was nice and big. They had an exercise room and they had areas that were outside and with plants and barbecues and things like that.

La Siena was very nice. We got to tour the whole place and it was beautiful. It was like walking into a resort. There were lots of activities and the facilities were outstanding. If I could move into a community, I would move there. The apartments were just beautiful. The staff were very friendly, very accommodating, answered all of our questions, and were just very outstanding. They have swimming pools, exercise rooms, craft rooms, a movie theater, a salon, and everything you would want and more.

We visited the assisted living side of La Siena. We are choosing it for the location and that they have apartments available for my relatives. It looked excellent. We haven't moved my relatives yet, so we'll see what it's like after we get in. Right now, everything looks great. They have all of the activities like physical therapy, a fitness center, a hair salon, and doctors who come to the facility. All of that was part of our decision in choosing this place. We had lunch there and everything was good. They had a gym, a pool, and a nice courtyard area to sit in. I don't think the relatives I'm moving in with would take advantage of that though because they're 95 and 97 so they're pretty much going to stick in their room but there's plenty of these things if they wanted to participate. The staff who assisted us on the tour was very nice and very helpful.

In general, I like La Siena. I like the location in particular. I was hoping the workout room would have heavier exercise equipment like at the YMCA or something like that, but I was overall impressed. We would like to have sampled the food there to get an idea about what the cuisine is, but we didn't have a chance to do that. They said that if we came back, we could arrange such a thing. I was impressed with the facility, especially independent living would be my choice. The rooms were nice and they would be comfortable to live in. They each have balconies, some have good views, others none. I think there's cable TV as well as an internet connection. Everyone seemed very friendly and informative. In general, I noticed that even the residents seemed to be friendly and it's a good environment. It's a full facility, so it had a bar, a library, meeting areas, and so forth. It's self-enclosed, so everything was accessible. From reading the literature they handed out, they have organized activities. I put my mother years ago in an assisted living place and I was impressed with that and this is comparable. The expense is one of the considerations. It requires a deposit of one month and it's not recoverable. That's a big given expense, but it's a nice place. Jessie was the only one I talked to and he was cooperative and friendly. Our tour was at 11:00 in the morning and we were figuring maybe that would include lunch, not that we wanted to, but that would be an important factor to consider. We were disappointed that my ex-wife even asked for lunch and they said they couldn't do it that day. That was disappointing because that is a part of how you would evaluate a place. I think that was a mistake perhaps on their part.

My mother chose La Siena because she visited there. It's right in between where I live and my sister lives. It's probably a medium size place. It's very nice and very well laid out. They have independent living and assisted living in the same building. They actually have a set up where I think you can actually mingle with the independent living, and they all have the same dining room and all that. It's very comfortable and very quiet in the surroundings. They're on Northern Avenue, but they're back off the street quite a ways. You have a long driveway to get into it, so it's a quiet community. It's more like an apartment complex. It was indoors, The entrances to the apartments are not outside; they're indoors. It's real homey. The staff was very warm and cordial. They were professional and friendly. What really helped us was the fact that they have a lot of long term employees, especially in their dining room areas. It's kind of unusual to find people that have worked in a community like that for over three years. Several of them have been there for two or three years. The gal we met in the elevator that works doing the rooms was there for almost three years. We were very impressed with the fact that their staff has been there long term. The apartments are very nice. They always repaint and re-carpet whenever somebody new moves in. We gave them a deposit, and they had it ready for us. She's just not ready to move in yet. We're in the process, and she has to get assessed. We had lunch there. The food was excellent. The dining area is big. They have it well set up for people. You have to have people that can get in and out with wheelchairs and stuff like that. They have it very well spaced. What we liked about this particular place was that the dining room is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can go any time during that period and eat a meal. Breakfast was served until 11 a.m., and then lunch served until 4 p.m. They had the same menu at dinnertime, but they had dinner specials added to it. It's great. They also have a coffee bar and tea bar that are open all the time. You can go and get coffee, tea, or lemonade. Upkeep was excellent. It was always impeccable. They have gyms. They have libraries. They have a movie theater. They have a chapel. There are game rooms. The coffee area has stacks of newspapers and things like that. If you want to read the paper, you don't have to necessarily get one delivered. You can go down and just pick one there. Each day, the newspaper has crossword puzzles. What they do is they go through and they print them off. Then they put a stack out so everybody can have a crossword. They were probably one of the more expensive and were higher end than the others. We just felt my mom deserved to have something like that.

My dad was at La Siena for only three months. It's a good and well-rounded facility. I didn't live there, but my dad did, and based on what I saw from picking him up and visiting him, they were very strict when it comes to COVID-19 guidelines for obvious reasons. According to my dad, the staff there was okay. My dad had a caretaker with him for fifteen years and it was kind of hard to replace her. Obviously there was a bit of a change going from her to people he doesn't know. His room was nice and large. The dining area was clean, and my dad said the food was okay. It's his first time living in a public facility, so for him to get used to the food is a little different because he's never had it, but it was fine. The facility was fine, too. It's just that under the circumstances of COVID-19, it makes facilities a lot less enjoyable because of all these guidelines that everybody has to follow. Everyone is always walking on eggshells, having to do extra just to go outside and enjoy themselves, wearing masks, signing in, taking temperatures, and all that. La Siena did the best that they could while at the same time trying to keep people safe and healthy, and my dad just really didn't do a whole lot during his stay there. If none of this happened, he could have enjoyed the facility a lot more.

I lived in independent living at La Siena. The food wasn't the greatest. They didn't have very many activities as where I'm living now. They don't have happy hours. The price was way too high and way out of line. The staff was pretty good.

La Siena was well taken care of. The food was excellent and high quality. The staff was very good and seemed to be attentive. The people seemed to be happy. The facilities were very good, and they had individual places for arts and crafts, swimming pool with activities, different clubs, a good movie theater, a nice chapel, a dancing area, major library, a pub, a computer area, educational programs, regular transportation to activities within Phoenix as well as to major stores, and etc. My wife loved it, but it was expensive. They had multiple elevators, wide halls, and the rooms were more like apartments than these typical living areas.

My parents are currently in La Siena. The room is very pretty, they have a nice, full kitchen, with stainless steel and granite, and they have washer and dryer in the room. The food is amazing, and they have a beautiful chef. They can park outside on the first floor.

La Siena was a beautiful place and has a lot of amenities and a lot of assistance available when I needed it, so that was good. I would feel like I was living in a hotel. It's just a big building, but I would like more of an individual place. The rooms are lovely, and there are several different units and apartment arrangements to pick from. The food was wonderful, and they had a lovely dining room that was like a nice restaurant, with white tablecloths and it was just really nice, but the food was outstanding. You have immediate assistance when you need it since there are all kinds of buttons to push and cords to pull. They have a gym, an art room, and all kinds of activities. It was a lovely place.

My mother-in-law came up with La Siena. We really liked it, and we decided to go with it. We thought the people at this place were super friendly, and I mean the residents. It just made us feel like it was a community and it would be a fun place to live. This place felt like a friendly place to live. I recommended it to my girlfriend, and her mother is moving in also. My mother-in-law picked La Siena.

I visited La Siena and thought it was very nice. I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to expend a lot of funds to get in there. They were a little more affordable. There were a lot of elderly people walking around during lunch and I felt like, "Whoa, geez, I don't see anybody here within five years of my age." I'm 72, but I'm very young for my age. However, it was very nice. I talked to the director who went through everything, was amiable, and knew everyone's names. I talked to some of the people who were happy.

At La Siena, the rooms were very small. The community was very attractive and very nice, but I felt like I was in a hotel. It didn’t have a homey feeling to me. I mean, it’s very lovely. They didn’t have a very good parking availability. They did have an outdoor pool. I thought it was very expensive for what they were offering. Like I said, the rooms were very small. The rental was well over $3000 a month for 700 to 900 square feet.

We chose La Siena for my mom because we like the place. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the residents looked happy and friendly. Her room is very nice and includes a full kitchen, not just a microware in her room. Their dining room is outstanding. We tried the food, and it was very good. The whole place is really outstanding.

La Siena is great. They got all kind of stuff going on. They got treadmills and exercise rooms. They got trips to theaters, but I have not yet participated in it. As for the staff, the ones that I have talked to are great. I have no complaints about the neighborhood.

I have found what I was looking for in La Siena. We felt like it would be the best for me if I decided to move to Phoenix. They were very helpful in every question I asked. I like the way they offered their meals. Their apartments were lovely. I love where they’re located. I think they’re pretty full, too; I’m on a waiting list. All the staff that I met and particularly the marketing person have been very nice.

La Siena seemed to fit my father-in-law the best way. Their breakfast started earlier and he is an early person. Their meals lasted longer and it worked better that way for him. It's closer to all his kids; so location wise it's good. Compared to other facilities, they were in the middle and their prices were reasonable. The rooms are very clean and very nice. He does use a gym there and it seemed like it had adequate equipment. It's updated. They also have a theatre. The people there were nice.

I stayed at La Siena Senior Living for six days and I had to leave. I couldn't stay longer, the food was making me sick. I was promised that they will be able to provide the right diet for me. I am a disabled patient and my husband passed on two and a half years ago. I have a medical condition called acid oxidation genetic defect that I must be on a very, very low fat diet. When I first came in there with somebody from a placement company, we sat down with the manager and chef and we explained my diet. They made promises that they did not keep. They had decorators decorate the entrance and the hallway. But when you get into the apartments, their cupboards are way up high to the ceiling along with the microwave. The little ladies with osteoporosis, with their bent backs, are not able to reach all these. And when you need to get somebody to hand down whatever you need from your kitchen, you need to call somebody and pay $10.00 to hand down whatever you need because they don't want you climbing on ladders. They have very poor arrangement for people who are seniors with health problems. They're charging an enormous amount of money. I got the impression that the residents are in serious financial trouble, the place is not full and they have very, very young students wait on the table at dinner time. They have no idea on how to wait on tables and I don't think they're being paid much of anything. They certainly weren't professional table servers. When dishes needed to be cleared off the table, they will just walk away, past the table and not pick up anything. And when the main course is about to be served, for example, they'll completely forget and I'll have to bring it to their attention that they've forgotten to save the main course. I have a medical problem and I was hoping this arrangement would allow me to have the assistance that I do need. It's just terrible.

The La Seina had various floor plans from the studios to two-bedrooms, a bistro bar where you could go and get a cup of coffee, a nice dining facility, and all the amenities for assisted living, which I'm qualified for. The staff was outstanding.

This is a nice center only 3 years old. There are 190 apartments. The buildings are positioned like a w with the large courtyard in the center. The buildings and grounds are well maintained. They are situated next to a man made lake area. They have suites, one and two bedroom apartments. All have a washer and dryer, full kitchens, dishwasher. and they provide cable. All are equipped as needed for handicapped and have an emergency system. They offer housekeeping and assistance as needed. They offer three meals and snacks a day in their nice restaurant style dining room and there is a variety of foods. The food is good. They have a fitness room, movie theater, library, computer room. and pub. There is a beauty salon and spa.The courtyard has greenery, flowers, and walking paths, and sitting areas. They have a nice pool. They have doctors close by and a nurse who comes in and on call. All caregivers are certified. The staff is very competent and friendly. They are very caring. They can get transport to appointments. There is a world of activities from bingo, card games, movies, entertainment, celebrations and more. They are close to the botanical gardens, shopping, and many stores. They are always busy. This is a great facility and staff.
