Huger Mercy Living Center is over four acres, fully enclosed with landscaped trees and walking paths. There is intermingling of all the residents. They have four cottages on the premises, 12 persons per cottage, and they assign people by their ranking as far as their mental capability. There are different levels of living, so as your mental capabilities diminish, you'll go down into a lower facility so you're a match with your own peers. The staff has always been very friendly, and the ratio of staff to resident is 6:1. They have one other thing, too: all the staff is certified.

I was a caregiver for my mother for 4 years before I found this facility. She is now a resident and the care and attention they give her is amazing. They only accept Alzheimer's/dementia patients the care they provide is targeted to each resident. I can not express how grateful I am to find such a perfect spot for my mother.
