My parents moved into the assisted living facility almost ten years ago. My mom is gone now, but my dad is still there. This is the most wonderful facility in the country! The residents are treated as "family," and they are cared for with incredible professionalism, kindness, and respect. They are truly angels, and I thank God every day for them. I recommend this facility with absolutely no reservations!

Everything in Good Shepherd Villa is on one level and there's no elevator. The apartment has a washer and dryer inside, and there's parking available outside your unit. They have a lot of activities that I'm interested in and an exercise program. I've also tried eating there twice.

We put a deposit down for Good Samaritan Society-Mesa Good Shepherd for when they have rooms available. The room had two bedrooms, two baths, and a kitchen, and was maybe 1,100 sq ft. I liked the price and the service. They had bus service for shopping and doctors' visits. They had a pool and a golf team and other activities, too. The dining area was very clean with table cloths on the table. We saw the activity room, the exercise room, and the library.

The rooms and the apartments at Good Samaritan Society were very nice and all on one story, which is good. The one person I met was very nice. The apartments were very nice.

Good Samaritan was clean, well-lit, and it didn't smell. The people there were very knowledgeable about what they were doing and how they were handling the situation with each individual patient. The staff was very knowledgeable and pointed us in the right direction. It's right next to the Lutheran church.

I was at Good Samaritan Society for 13 weeks when I had my stroke. I appreciated that fact that I got very good therapy. The time that I was there they had an excellent chef and the meals were very good. The staff were very pleasant and I found out that they were very willing to work with the residents. I rarely smelled anything while I was there. The social worker has all kinds of activities planned. They do crafts and play bingo. I feel that they really try to meet the needs of those who wanted to get involved.

Mesa Good Shepherd is close to my house. My parents are in the independent living and it's been a great experience. The facility is very nice and very clean. The apartment is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment and it has grab bars and it's all handicap-accessible. The staff is very positive, very accommodating and very helpful. They have a fitness center so they have controlled conditioning classes.

This facility is one of the best that I have seen. After looking at many in the area Mesa Good Sheppard had one of the most up to date, clean, and attentive facilities. One of the great things is that the facility has apartments, assisted-living, and a full nursing home on one campus. As health declines it is nice to know that my grandmother will be around the friends she will have made the entire time as well as her family. We saw a group of the "ladies" in the nursing home which we were told were part nursing home residents and part assisted living that were visiting, since the nursing home residents previously lived in the assisted living. Also the availability of quality healthcare make our entire family rest easier knowing that if things happen to get worse there is an option that baring any bad experiences is made much easier for us.

Good Samaritan Society is  a descent nursing home. I would recommend it to specific group of people. When I was there in 2011, I noticed that the Good Shepard was very clean and odorless. At the staff was very pleasant and tentative to the residents. Indidnt see to much social interaction for it to be a nursing home. This facility is good for individuals who need rehab and going to stay short term. The facility is an older facility so do keep that in mind. Out of five stars, I would rank the grounds a three the common areas a three the residents' rooms a two the staff a Three  and the quality of care a three. Overall, I'd give Good Shepard Society a rating of three stars because the facility is older and needs some renovations, also the staff was not very friendly when I needed supplies for the patient I was caring for.

Good Shepherd has assisted living facilities and a care center. The assisted living coordinators plan lots of activities for the residents, and there is a spirit of community there - -the residents seem to be good friends. The care facility seems a little sparse. There is effort to provide enjoyable entertainment for the very ill, and caregivers seem respectful, but it looks low-budget.
