My brother moved into Arden Villa Carehome. I don't think it's the nicest place, I don't think it's the best equipped, and I don't think they are perfect, but it's doable because I can visit him every day and I can catch anything right away if there's something wrong. You walk in and you sign in. They have a bell that rings and you have to ring the doorbell to get in. You get in the first door, but the second door, you have to wait for them to open it. They have a living room right inside where there's a TV and couches. And then, beyond that is the kitchen. They have a back patio that's fenced in. You go down the hall and they have a bathroom there for people that can take a shower and go to the toilet by themselves. They have 5 residents now. My brother was in a shared room, but the other guy just moved out. So, he's in a room by himself now. They feed him 3 meals a day, and they give him snacks in between and they give him water. They change his diapers 3 times a day. His sheets are always clean. His bedding is always clean. He never stinks when we come and he's always clean. That's a big thing. I haven't got a whole lot of complaints. The only complaint is that about every other day, they feed him hotdogs.

Shiv Adult Care Home I was nice. The layout was fine, it was clean, and everybody was friendly, but there were no activities. There was a TV area in the family room. They were sitting down to eat lunch when we were there. The house wasn't full of residents yet.

Shiv Adult Care Home I was fine. The rooms and the dining area were marginal. The lady who owns was it very knowledgeable.

Shiv Adult Care Home I was a nice home with nice people. There were more residents, and it just didn’t seem a very good fit for my grandmother’s situation. The one that we chose is smaller and only had five residents, and I think Shiv had nine. We thought that a smaller home was better for my grandmother. It was nice and clean, the people were nice, and the staff was nice. The owner was very nice and very informative. She was a nurse for many years, and so she was very knowledgeable. I don’t have anything negative to say about it, but it wasn’t the right fit for my grandmother. There weren’t many activities going on, and the residents were mostly watching TV. We were only there for 20 or 30 minutes, so there wasn’t a whole lot of activities. They said that they had a church activity on Sundays.
