I'm staying in Absolute Assisted Living. It's lovely, very good care, excellent. There are only about seven of us in the whole place, so it's a small home. They're great, but if I had a handicap, it probably wouldn't be the perfect place for me. Not that I know what a perfect place is, but I broke my leg here a couple of months ago and I know that since then, it's been a little bit harder for me to get the one-on-one that I needed during that time. The staff is competent and intelligent. The food is good. I just miss the activities. There are no activities here. You're on your own. It's fine if you know how to entertain yourself. Value for money is excellent, it's the cleanest facility, and it's centrally located. It's right across the street from a grocery store, a pharmacy, and every kind of restaurant you'd ever want to go to. There's just everything here. They take care of your medicines excellently. My room is large, spacious, decorated well, and it's got a TV. It's like a big studio.

This is a great care home. My mom and dad both moved in when my dad was on hospice and had only a short time to live. They took great care of him for the next 3 weeks until he passed away. My mom was married to him for 67 years when he passed away and missed him terribly. She was in the home for the next year and had the best care ever. I went to see her at least 4 times a week so I was very aware of what goes on in the home. My mom was cared for with love and understanding as she grieved the loss of her husband. She felt like part of the care home family and so did I. I am so grateful for the love and wonderful care they showed my mom, dad and our family.

My mother was at this home. In the beginning it might have been O.K. but in recent years they took on too much work with not enough staff. I saw my mom wheeled down the hall, in plain view of everyone, with one breast exposed, and pants around her ankles. Another resident's guardian sent me a picture of my mom with only diapers on and a top sitting in a recliner. They did not like the fact I asked for women to shower my mom and NOT feed her with large syringes, which I saw after hours with other residents. There are NO activities for residents, no exercise plans, and on Saturdays the meal is spicy pizza and red cake. When I told them about the picture, they gave me thirty days to leave. Why? Because I was questioning my mother's care, in any normal way a daughter would and this was threatening to them. These people run their home "their way" and don't tolerate any questioning. The owner likes to yell, if you like this, then this is the home for you. I reported them to the state but because I didn't have a witness, other than myself, they couldn't do anything. It's all about the money!!!!!

They have taken care of my brother-in-law since last summer and are doing a fantastic job. He is in the latter stages of Parkinson's and has dementia so he is not easy. He was hitting out at people when he got there and the medical staff and his hospice worked with Mariya and got him on the proper meds to keep him calm. If it weren't for them he'd be in a locked ward for sure. The food good, the home is immaculate. It is a small home in a house. I just hope they're still around when I need them.

This is a small private assisted living facility. They have ten residents. The house is very nice and well cared for. They have palm trees, grass, shrubs, and flowers. It looks very nice. The owner lives next door. She told me she has 9 years experience in medical. She seems very nice and concerned about her residents. They do homecooking and it tastes good. They provide three meals and give a choice as can. They do the housekeeping and laundry. They have a house doctor and a nurse who come in. All caregivers are certified. The staff is nice.. They transport to doctor appointments. They do lots of exercises, walks, games, movies, individualized, and other celebrations and activities. They use hospice as necessary. They go out ot lunches and other activities as they can. This is a nice cleanhome and family orientated.
