I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother has been at four nursing homes before he arrived at Providence place. This place is only thinking of making money. All the other nursing homes he was at he had a phone but this place charges the residents for phone service so if you don't have the money they are not allowed to contact loved ones that are unable to have personal visits. That's not even close to being right.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I stayed in the Providence Place at Glencroft. The facility was well-kept, modern, and up-to-date. The rooms were nice. They were either one bedroom or double. I was in a one-bedroom. The staff members were very professional. I was provided the exercise, and they had machines to do it on. They came every day. There were small cafes on each floor and a main dining room on the first floor. The food is excellent and very healthy. You get to pick what you want within your dietary rules.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Had a relative who was recently in the Rehab Center. He was able to walk in but he did not leave walking. First night he had to use the bathroom and was told to go ahead and go and they would clean him up. He was always in a chair and would be there for the majority of the day very seldom would they change his position. Dinner would come and he would be sleeping in the chair would not wake him up to eat. Rehab was supposed to be daily I have my doubts that this was done. He ended up with 2 pressure sores which were very painful. He ended up back in the hospital for a few days and we placed him in a different rehab center. please make sure you check out the place you are sending your loved one we thought this was a good place. Boy were we wrong.

I am a friend or relative of resident

Looks like a really nice facility for senior apartments and such. They have a restaurant, bank, theater, etc and allot of activities. However my husband was not in that area but Providence Place. He was admitted for stroke rehab. They are in no way capable of caring for stroke victims. The food was horrible and small portioned. Certainly not something you would give a young stroke victim to nurse them back to health. Also very neglectful in there care. My husband was supposed to be constantly supervised due to being a fall risk and hallucinating. They had no problem doing that when I was there. When I needed to leave his room they made sure someone was with him. But as soon as I left to come home to take care of our dog I returned to find a huge lump and cut on my husbands forehead and a black and blue bruise on his chin!! I was gone less then an hour. The only thing even remotely decent I can say about this place is the therapists (OT, PT, ST) worked really well with him. Even the social worker insisted on calling me a name that wasn't mine. Needless to say I pulled my husband out of there earlier then his anticipated release date. Yhea, avoid this place at all costs!!!
