My mom moved into Carillon Oaks. This was the one memory care that was just for women, and I had a friend whose mother was there. So, I just really felt like it was the right place for her. The staff is really nice. They have a couple of registered nurses. Mom is getting physical therapy. They have the aides that help her with dressing and bathing. The facility is so nice and clean. The food is really good. I can join her for meals anytime. I just have to give them a little notice. Mom really likes the food. Her room is rather large. It has a window, and she has her own large private bathroom. She has a long hallway and a large closet, and then she has a large room with another closet. I was able to move her own furniture there. She has a seating area and then she has her lift chair, a TV, her bed, and a dresser. She's got plenty of room. They have a dining room, a courtyard, a screened-in porch, a living room, and a separate activity room. She has participated in trivia, dominoes, painting, and arts and crafts. The courtyard has some raised beds with flowers and vegetables, seating areas, and a fountain. They have a little living room with several couches, and a little bistro with hot chocolate and coffee. I would highly recommend it.

My mother is in Carillon Oaks, and it's been very good. They allow visitors to come and have a space and a place for you to meet with your loved one. They do games and different things with the residents. It's very nice and brand new. It's only been open four months. They're not cheap, but it wasn't terrible. There are places that are a lot more expensive.
