My stepmother was at Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community for a short time. She was able to bring her own furniture, which made it very homey. The staff members were all very friendly and welcomed us like family. There was a very large gathering room, and it was like a beautifully set dining room. It had a very country setting. They had a personal chef, and it was like home-cooked meals every meal. It was very clean, very upscale, home like, not sterile at all, and smelled very nice. It was expensive, but it was nice. You get what you pay for. Their value was worth it.

Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community is a very nice place. They get a lot of good care there. The facility is clean. The people who work there are doing a really good job taking care of the people who are there. The staff was pleasant. She showed me the different-sized rooms and their prices. They have a courtyard, a beauty salon, a nice area to eat, and their own private rooms. The dining area was clean. They're doing some renovations now.

I went to look at Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community. I liked that the people were friendly. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The residents all looked nicely dressed, clean, and happy. I was not fond of the carpet floors. My mom uses a walker, which is hard for her to maneuver on carpeted floors. This is the only facility I have toured that had any carpet on the floor, and I thought it was kind of odd. They had some common areas and some outdoor areas, which were nice. The rooms were nice. It doesn't have a kitchen area, but you can bring a refrigerator. The rooms are completely bare. The families have to provide full décor for the rooms, so that's a drawback for me. They had frequent snacks available, like bedtime snacks or snacks throughout the day.

I went to Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community. The rooms were excellent, excellent sizes, they have plenty of room. The convenience of privacy, it's just like apartment living. The staff was nice, she gave an excellent tour, and she knows what she's doing. It's like a senior college dorm where everybody's in one common area, but you have your own individual everything. You close your door, you have your own privacy. Everything in there is yours. No shared bathrooms. That's the best thing about it. They're all private bathrooms. I saw the community area. I like the piano aspect because my grandkids play piano and other instruments. So that is a plus when they come and visit. The outdoor spaces were excellent. The courtyard was beautiful.

Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community was excellent. The staff that I met was very friendly, very nice, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend it to anyone that asked me. They're very well kept, it's very clean, up to date, it's not out of style and it's in a very good location. I feel that it's very safe. I did not eat there, but I saw the other residents that were there eating, the food looked very good, smells good and the dining room was very clean. They have arts and crafts, they have Bible study, and they have exercise. They do different activities on different days, but they're scheduled out to keep the residents active.

The staff at Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community was very friendly. It's a large facility, but the halls were rather dim as compared to the other facilities I've been in that were well lit. The Christmas decorations were very nice, but they could've used a little bit more lighting.

I toured Gordon Oaks Senior Living Community and the people were welcoming as I entered. It's a nice, clean facility, and all of the residents seemed to be comfortable and at ease with their stay there. So, I was quite pleased and impressed. They hold classes, board games, then there's a community area where they all could sit and watch movies together, and they had crafts when I was there, which was interesting. They also have an exercise program going on at 8 or 9 o'clock each morning. The rooms were a nice size. For a private room, there are two closets inside and then the bathrooms. For a single room, there's one closet and the bathrooms are inside, too, but you would have to furnish them all. For their meals, they could choose something outside of what's offered that day to replace a meal that they were not satisfied with.

Gordon Oaks was very clean. The people who gave me the tour were very kind and explanatory. I liked their dining room. The way it's open and very pleasant. They have private and semi-private rooms, and the residents are able to bring their own familiar things there. They have a salon and an exercise room.

I just like the location, the atmosphere, and the way Gordon Oaks was designed. They have arrangements that if family comes from out of town, they can rent out a room or a place there instead of having to go to a hotel, so that's exceptional. The main part of the place is that you have your own kitchen, bedroom, and you fix your own meals. The 1-bedroom I saw was very nice. The person who showed me around was very thorough.

I have received a large room by request and is kept clean by the housekeeper. Each room has a private bath. I am served three meals each day in the dining room. I get assisted as needed.

I have looked at a lot of other places in Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama all the way to Gulf Shores, Alabama and even the panhandle of coastal Florida and coastal Mississippi... nothing beats Gordon Oaks Assisted Living Community for the value per dollar spent. Amy is wonderful and Miss Linda. The food is delicious and the hairdresser is always bringing her home made treats to share. I get a haircut every two weeks for $10.00. One of the staff A J, is appearing on the voice Valentine's day. The only bad about this place is that one or two of the residents are jerks but I just avoid them. At least the staff are nice, very kind, and attentive.

Gordon Oaks is OK. We like it. My relative has nurses who come in and out and check on her always. She has a studio apartment with a bed, a little kitchen, sofa, table, and basics that other studio apartments have. They have an exercise room, activity room, and a salon where she can get her hair combed and washed.

I visited Gordon Oaks a couple of years ago, and it was a mess. It looked OK from the outside, but if you walk inside, everything was torn up. They showed me several apartments, and they had redone one for somebody to move in. That was the only one they had fixed up. None of the other ones they showed me had carpet, or were refurbished or had new appliances, and had stuff hanging off their walls. It was a mess.

When we decided that our grandmother would be going into an assisted living facility and back grounding many facilities, The Gordon Oaks Convalescent Center, was the last one on the list my family and I had to visit. We first walked inside the atrium, I fell in love with the layout and the view the facility had, before our eyes. We were greeted immediately with smiles and complimentary beverages. We were asked, kindly to be seated, while our tour guide becomes available. Our wait was no longer than five minutes, again greeted with warm smiles upon the tour guides arrival. The particular rooms/apartments as they like to call them, that we were showed were extremely spacious and had everything possible for a person of my grandmother's age to be able to feel active and Independent. Finally, when I took my grandmother to see it, she fell in love with it as well, and decided that would be her new home.
