We are pleased with Merrill Gardens at Madison. My parents' experience has been very good. They're happy there. What dad likes best about the community is that the kitchen is open from 7 to 7. You can eat anytime you want to. You can eat breakfast for supper if you want to, and that's been excellent for my dad. I've only had any interactions with the kitchen staff and they've been OK. My sister lives close to them. I live about 3 hours away and so far, I haven't heard her say anything negative at all. The facility is very nice. They got a big courtyard and stuff. Because of their age, the food is bland, but it is very adequate. Their activities seemed good. They've got a theater and all kinds of stuff out there.

Merrill Gardens at Madison was my first choice, but I had to have a first floor apartment that opened out into the patio for my dog, and there was no possibility in the near future of that happening. I really liked the location. There's a grocery store right across the street and a shopping area right there. The facility was very nice, but there was no availability for what I needed. The staff during the tour was wonderful, very knowledgeable, very friendly, very welcoming, and introduced me to some of the residents. My daughter and I ate lunch there one day and the food was very good. The apartment was really nice. I liked that it had a washer and dryer in the apartment. It had a bedroom with a bath and living room kitchen combination. It had a really nice-sized bathroom. They had all kinds of activities and a very full calendar. They had a movie room, exercise classes, and I saw some of the residents in a painting class. It would have been a really nice place to live.

We had an excellent tour at Merrill Gardens at Madison. It's close to my son and it's got excellent food. It's well done and the big plus is you can eat 7 days a week, all three meals a day, and you can go in and eat anytime. They have washers and dryers in the units, which is a nice convenience. The downside was the expense. It was rather pricey. I would have a one-bedroom at another facility while I could only get a studio there. The staff was excellent. The service in the food was excellent. All of it was good. The sales manager was very helpful, answered all my questions, and was very good. The facility had excellent decor and was nice. They have quite an activity list.

Merrill Gardens at Madison was very nice. They had plenty of residents and they were very friendly. They had all sorts of amenities that would have been very nice for anyone. They allowed pets and they served food just about any time of day. It's clean. The rooms were small, but they were nice. They have a library, a game room, a community room, a TV room, movies, a popcorn machine, and all different things.

My grandmother moved into Cherryvale Place. They take good care of her most of the time, but there are no activities available that we thought were going to be available, so she sits in her room most of the day. They get bingo three times a week and that's about it. The staff is nice, and she likes the people that work there. She was doing physical therapy, but they stopped her from doing that. She doesn't get very much there. They're not doing much with her and for her, they're not taking them anywhere, or anything. She doesn't like the food.

My father-in-law is going to Merrill Gardens at Madison for memory care. It's amazing and if I had my way, he would've been there from the very beginning. We chose it because of the way they organize things and how happy the staff and the tenants are. I've been there on several different occasions and it's the same atmosphere. It's a very calming nurturing atmosphere. The rooms were clean, nice, and very accessible. I know he's gonna be safe and well-fed. The staff was very friendly and detail-oriented. We have not tried the food yet, but it looked amazing and it smelled good.

I liked the closeness of Merrill Gardens at Madison to my house, and they have more than what my brother has got now. Where he is, he doesn't get internet nor cable, he just gets a bedroom with a bathroom, whereas he would have his own bathroom in Merrill Gardens at Madison. So, it looked like a better facility. It's a much bigger place with more people to interact with and the staff members who toured me to the memory care were great. They were informative to all the questions that I asked. They also have an enclosed courtyard, field trips, activities, and a salon.

My mom has moved into Merrill Gardens at Madison's memory care. I couldn't be happier knowing that my mother was safe and taken care of, that they are very attentive to her needs, and knowing that I don't have to worry, and that she's not by herself. The community is clean and small. The director, Jessica, is absolutely outstanding. All of the employees that I have been in contact with have given utmost respect to my mother, as well as our family members. I can't say enough good things about them. It's only been a short time that she's been there, but I'm really glad we chose that place.

My in-laws already moved into Merrill Gardens at Madison. We really just like the facility in itself. We like the room and how it was laid out. We like the space, it had a washer and dryer in it, and a full kitchen. It's close to our house. We were like ten minutes away, so it's real convenient. We like the fact that if there's a need for more assistance, like if they go all the way up to memory care, they could stay where they're at. They don't have to move basically. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. They seem to kind of go out of their way to answer your questions or get help when needed. In the restaurant, the feedback from my in-laws is that the food is OK to good. It's not excellent, but it's good, but I think that they get a little picky, but everybody there is super nice. There are some activities they do. Yesterday they did horseshoe and cornhole. They do Wii games, shuffleboard I think, and they have a happy hour once a week. They actually have a shuttle that will take them to a church that they're attending.

Merrill Gardens at Madison was nice. The rooms were a little smaller and not many had balconies. Everything looked nice and clean. The staff was very helpful, too, and they had a courtyard, which was nice. We didn't get to tour the whole thing because of COVID. They have not opened up everything yet, but I know they had a bus that took the residents to their doctor's appointments, to Walmart, and to different places like grocery stores if they needed to go, and I think they take trips on them, too.

My father moved into Merrill Gardens at Madison on October 29th. The food is not like what Mom makes but he thinks it's good. They have activities like Wii bowling, bingo, and art class. My father thinks the facility is nice, he has his own private patio, and the place is well kept. It's maybe three blocks from Madison Hospital, and it's close to where I'm going to be living.

I have been a resident at Merrill gardens for 6 months. I love it here. The staff are so professional and really care about our comfort and health. The food service is on time, fresh and we are given a menu every day so we have several choices. I wish I could do a commercial so more people could know how great this facility is. I have a studio and with some artwork it looks and feels comfortable. Prior to the pandemic we had bingo and entertainment. . Merrill gardens has the best to offer at a reasonable price. Do yourself a favor and consider Merrill gardens for your forever home.

Poor care for those in memory care. Continual excuses and broken promises. It would appear that patients with minimal care are the desired residents.

My dad absolutely loves it at Merrill Gardens at Madison. Their food is wonderful. You can get food any time from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. My dad can go to the dining room and get snacks to bring to his room. They also have many activities. They have socials on Monday nights where they drink wine, they have a movie theater, and they have a room where they do jigsaw puzzles. My dad just loves it there. The people are very nice. It's a lot better than some places that require you to put down a big downpayment. This place is just a monthly fee.

My mother has moved into Merrill Gardens at Madison and loves it. They have fabulous activities, it's clean, and everyone's friendly. They have open dining from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. They get to order off of a menu, so it's not like you're stuck with whatever was made that day. They have light housekeeping, and as needs change and they need more assistance, the assistant comes to them. They don't have to move from area to area. It's brand new and independent and then they have a scale that goes up as you need assistance, which they provide as well.

Merrill Gardens is a fairly new and an absolutely beautiful facility. The rooms are nice and big. There were activities where they have somebody come in every now and then to play the piano, and they have wine-tasting every night. I had lunch at their restaurant and it was wonderful. The staff that assisted me was tremendous, and I received a very good follow-up.

First of all this is the second assisted living facility that my mother-in-law has been in. We started out in a facility closer to our home but a rate increase forced us to look beyond our own back yard, so to speak. I AM SO GLAD WE DID! Without a doubt, this is one of the finest facilities that I have ever seen and experienced. The grounds, the staff, the activities and the living areas are superior to any other we have toured or my mother-in-law has lived in. It isn't just the facility that captivates you as you walk in but also the fact that residents are walking around with huge smiles on their face and engaging in conversation amongst each other as well. This is not a place where someone goes to die, this is the place where you go to LIVE!! I know it has made a huge impact on our lives and we greatly appreciate everyone who makes this possible.

Merrill Gardens at Madison was absolutely beautiful. The staff member was wonderful, very informative, and very compassionate. She gave me lots of information and insights on other places as well, and gave a really good background of the place. The place was very relaxing, pretty, and well kept. It was the nicest one I've seen. The location was perfect because it was close to the malls and the hospital.

We visited Merrill Gardens primarily for its location and the fact that they provided what we needed. What we saw was very nice, very well maintained, and organized. The place is fairly new, so everything was nice. We saw a salon and an exercise room. Overall, we were very happy with it. They were great. Our visit was wonderful. We didn't choose it because it's not the location that we need right now.

I thought Merrill Gardens at Madison was a wonderful place. I really liked it. I like the layout and the food. I like what they offered. I like what little amenities they had like they would bring you food if you were sick. They had a doctor on staff, and they could take you to doctor’s appointments. They would have somebody playing the piano. They have barbecues for the 4th of July. They had movies and church services. They just seemed to have so much to me.

Merrill Gardens at Madison didn't have reserved parking, but the facility and dining room were very nice. The food was good. The people were nice, helpful, cordial, and very friendly. The apartments were very tiny. I'm not sure if you can even get a single bed in those bedrooms. Even if there was a reserved parking, we're not the only handicapped people who would be living there. Practically everybody is handicapped, so it won't be practical for us to try and live in a place like that. There isn't anything wrong with it. It just wasn't right for us.

I thought Merrill Gardens was very nice, very clean, and very big. We noticed the different room sizes and the common areas. You could bring a pet, if you chose to. The eating facilities seemed very nice. The staff was very hospitable, kind, and patient and were willing to sit down and answer all the questions that we had.

Merrill Gardens is absolutely perfect for Mom. It has a nice big back patio for her dog, and they help her walk her dog, which is exactly what I was looking for. The food is really good, too. She is very happy there. We put her in a two-bedroom suite, which is very large. She is able to fit her king-sized bed with two bedside tables, a dresser with a mirror, and a tall chest. There is plenty of walking room. Her two dogs’ beds are in her bedroom, too. She has a huge walk-in closet with lots of space, and her bathroom has a huge shower and lots of cabinet spaces. Her room is very accommodating and feels just like home. The restaurant is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. She can go whenever she wants. They have many breakfast foods that are available all of the time, and the food is outstanding. At night, they have several entrees, and everything is hot and really good. Also, they have three activities scheduled every day.
