The layout of Madison Village is good. The assisted living side has programs that foster a community with different events or activities (although they're limited in what they are because of COVID). Mom says the food is pretty average. They have lots of services and things that I thought made things enjoyable for her. There's a salon, she could have her nails done once a week, and have different group activities that she could participate in.

Madison Village is a convenient location. It has a washer and dryer in the apartment and the full kitchen is great. The space is nice and it's a brand-new apartment. Nobody's lived in it yet. They'll bring food to your door and I really liked all the staff. They also have assisted living there and you can have activities and all that kind of stuff. They have buses that'll take you to your doctor's appointments and the price is right. The lady who did the tour was very knowledgeable and knew what I wanted. She told me what her pluses were and showed me different apartments. She explained everything to me, what the amenities were and how it worked. My son and I both had a delicious meal there and it was just great. It's set up like a pod with 8 units in a square and then you have a courtyard in the center and a community room in that section. It's a great situation.

We are waiting to move my mom to the Madison Village and the preference for us was the location. It is close to all of her daughters. It was a well-kept and inviting community. I personally think the staff are very knowledgeable and they are very caring. When you are dealing with the elderly, being patient and caring is very important. Even if you are in the independent living unit and you choose not to prepare your food, you can place an order 2 hours prior to dinner and lunch and they can bring the meals to you. Their community activities personnel have prepared a lot of things that the residents can do on the premises. They also plan daytrips and take them within range to the doctors and different healthcare places. We basically saw the menu and I said if they got people that could cook, this food should be really good. We did not schedule our visit. We showed up and they were able to show us around. It wasn't like they knew we were coming and were able to get anything in order. They are very clean and that makes a difference.

Madison Village was beautiful and all of it was nice. It didnt look or smell like a nursing home. I liked it a lot. The staff was very nice. I popped in unannounced but they were still really sweet about giving me a tour.

Madison Village is very nice. I was looking at the independent housing, which they had little connected houses in a circle. The rooms were very nice, and they had 3 meals a day. The staff is very accommodating, and the administrator was very professional and answered any questions.

We are very pleased with Madison Village. It’s all inclusive. My mother has been there for about two weeks and is very happy and making friends. The staff is very friendly; the minute she needs them, she pushes her button and they come. They are very welcoming and helpful. They have exercise every morning and some kind of brain thing like trivia. They have mini concerts, bingo, play cards, and go out of the facility for activities and places. We are very pleased.

I visited this facility a year ago. The staff were friendly and courteous, it seemed like they genuinely cared about the residents. The facilities seemed acceptable with decent sized rooms with eating areas, living spaces, etc. The building was a little dirty, however. It was not totally unacceptable but I think that it should have been a little cleaner; the floor looked like it had ground in stains and the whole building smelled faintly of urine. I had a chance to look at what food was provided for lunch. I was surprised by the variety of items that were offered, and though I did not taste it, the food seemed very satisfactory. The lounge area was nice and had a large TV surrounded by couches and several tables for eating and playing card games. The few residents I talked to seemed as happy as one could be their situation, however I can't speak for them. Overall I think this was a good facility that just needs to have better upkeep.
