I like that Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase is fairly small. My father gives good feedback about the food and the care that he gets there. He has a nurse practitioner that helps him there. I have no complaints. The facility is very clean. It is in a great location.

We visited Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase. My mom is actually on the waiting list there. It's a well-organized community. The customer service from the representatives has been awesome. I'm just looking forward to my mother being a part of the community soon. They have a TV room, a game room, and a beauty salon onsite, which was impressive. I wish the layouts of the apartments were more consistent because there were several layouts, so it's hard to get an understanding of where your parent will live because the layouts can vary and you really can't view the layout until something becomes available and typically it's different than what is presented to you. I'm not impressed with some of the layouts.

We have chosen Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase for my parents. They will move in tomorrow. The staff that I've been working with has been exceptional and very, very helpful. They have been really great. Also, a big part of the decision was its location because it is close to our family. It is reasonably priced, too. It seems to be a very good value. The rooms contributed to our decision, too, because they were a little bit larger than some of the other ones we had seen. The space was well laid out, and it was very efficient. The whole property is very nice, very well kept, and clean.

There was no designated person that gave tours on the day we visited Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase, but they still accommodated us, which we appreciated. They did not have a single room available. All they had were companion rooms. The windows looked out on the parking lot, so they did not have sunny areas inside, but they had an enclosed courtyard that was sunny, bright, and had benches to sit on. That was open for residents to go out there on their own.

I toured Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase. It was good. The facility is good, it's nice and clean. It's friendly and all of the residents seemed happy. The activities are the same as movies, exercise, and they have outings. They have the transportation service available and they have programs for the residents. The layout is beautiful and nice. The conditions were nice. The rooms were spacious. All the buildings have an emergency--, if they should fall, they have in the room where they can pull. The dining area was clean. Some of the people were still there, and they seemed to be engaged, satisfied, and no one was complaining.

I toured Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase and was very impressed with Chip over there. He's the director and he seems to run a very tight ship. I looked at the memory care and everything was immaculate, very well taken care of and well kept. He knew all the residents and knew everything that was going on. So, he was on top of things. The menu looked good too and we met other people behind the scenes, like those who dispense the medication and stuff and a couple of the lunch ladies, and they all seemed very nice.

The memory care unit of Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase was very clean. The rooms looked very, very nice. The only thing that I was concerned about was the location. It was not convenient to me. The road I have to travel is going to have bad traffic. I also did not think much of the activity center or the area they had. My mom probably won't even go out there anyway. There were a few chairs in it or a couch. It was almost in a large hallway. It wasn't in a room, but it was out in the open; maybe it was what they intended for memory care. However, it was a real secure environment, and I was really impressed with the staff. I wouldn't let that activity center deter me from them. They had a beautiful outdoor area, beautiful rooms, and the residents looked happy. The management also seemed good. Sandra, who was the sales manager, and Chip, who was the director, were both great. They just came right out when I came in, so I only waited a few minutes. They came and spent all the time with me and were very thorough.

We went to Truewood by Merrill, Riverchase. We enjoyed our visit there. That was our second choice of places to go. The rooms are really large and nice. The food was excellent, the staff was very friendly, it was nice and clean. They have a lot of activities, they have three meals, they will take you to doctor's visits any day of the week, Monday through Friday.

It was very friendly and very clean. They had nice facilities, but not a lot of outdoor space. However, it had a courtyard that was nice and a nice memory care center. I was very impressed with the staff. They were very friendly, and they seemed to all get along very well together, which is a good thing. I didn't try the food, but the menu looked very good. It was more like a giant apartment building from the outside, but it was fine, and it was very clean. The carpet seemed a little old, and they had some wear on them, but everything was very clean. The location was very convenient to a lot of places that they would need to go.

We are now living here. It is a good location; it is easily accessible. The staff is friendly and the food is good. We have not participated in a lot of events going on, but it seems to be getting a lot of participation. The room is really good and homey. My wife brought in a bunch of things from home, and we are in the process of decorating it. It looks good. They have an exercise program, they have church services, movies, bingo and card games, they have entertainers that come in, and they have transportation to carry you to your doctor's and everywhere else.

It is large. The people are nice, but the place is institutional. The dining room was just a bunch of long tables and a buffet. The staff was very friendly, nice, and showed me around.
