The Leadership Team was fantastic! They welcomed me and shared the facility with great information and always with a cheerful heart. They assisted me with the refurbishment choices for my apartment prior to move-in and provided all the necessary information to move forward. They have been so supportive and kind as I wait for my unit to be ready (I move in on June 13th). I look forward to making new friends and learning new hobbies as I get to do activities that I already enjoy! I also look forward to being pampered with great food and a cleaning and maintenance crew to work with me as I live the next chapter of my life!

I like the sales associate at Galleria Woods. The apartments were very nice. What I liked the least was the price, which was a little more than my sister wanted to pay. They only offer one meal a day. You go from independent living to assisted living, but you have to move to another place.

I'll be moving into Galleria Woods. The sales lady was very knowledgeable. She took me around. I looked at five different types of apartments. I chose this community because it's a complete care facility. I was trying to pick a facility where my daughters wouldn't have to worry about me once I got there and complete care does that trick for me. Although it costs more to get into them, of course, it's worth it to have that and not have my daughters worry about me. The facilities are kept up very well. As a matter of fact, they're redoing the apartment I'm going to be in to open it up even more. The kitchen was sort of closed off with four walls, and we're going to take one of the walls out and make a counter-type see-through and everything. Every staff I saw was very friendly and said hi to me.

Galleria Woods was very nice. It's an older facility, and the lady that I talked to was a very nice, very giving, and happy person. It's very clean and had no odor to it whatsoever. It didn't smell like an institution. The rooms were nice and large. The pricing coincides with how big your room is, whether it's one or two-bedroom. They have a nice big eating area. They've got menus that you can take back to your room. They have a little restaurant where you can have them just make a hamburger if that's what you want and you can get that pretty much any time. They have a full kitchen with sitting areas to eat. Off of that menu, you can order to take home or you can come down and pick up your food. They have a lot of variety whatever you feel like that day. I didn't taste their food though. I looked into a two-bedroom cottage, which was very nice. After each resident leaves, they completely redo the whole thing so that you move into a new home because everything is taken out and everything is redone. They're very conscientious about things working. They have a washer and dryer, a full kitchen that you can use, a stove, a microwave, and a refrigerator.

Galleria Woods was beautiful. They had a lot of activities available. The issue was that there was a $150,000 buy-in to their program. That was just a little bit more, and that was in addition to the cable and all that stuff. That was just cost- prohibitive. They had a pool. It was like a resort. They had exercise classes, outings, a very nice library, and daily activities multiple times a day. It was pristine.

Galleria Woods was very nice. It had everything that somebody could possibly want in a retirement community, in my opinion. I really liked the fact that they have independent, assisted, and nursing care. They have a dining facility, a nice pool, an exercise room, and a library. They have it all. The rooms were very nice. They had everything that I was looking for. The people were very friendly, and the staff was very helpful. Someone there told me the food was very good. It's an older community, but it's still in really good shape.

I found Galleria Woods for my mom, and I'm in the process of starting the paperwork. She'll probably move in by March. We chose it because it was most similar to the place that she lives in, in South Carolina, and we were looking for a place that offers multi-levels of care from independent, assisted, to skilled nursing. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The rooms were very nice and well done, and they paint every room before they move in, they put new carpet in, and they prepare it to whatever the person's desires are, so it's very well done. We did not stay for a meal, but it smelled good. It had a very nice, very clean, classic tasteful decor, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. We met a few residents. They had a very nice library, and we toured the workout rooms and the rooms that they do activities with. There's not a whole lot of activities going on right now because of COVID, but they offer a lot of gathering opportunities. I think they had the choral group come in to sing because it was close to Christmas when we went.

Galleria Woods was beautiful, but it was expensive. The rooms were very nice, and the staff was great. They also have cottages, and they were beautiful. They invited us for lunch, and it was impressive. It was appealing and comfortable. They have a lot of activities, games, and classes that you can take.

Galleria Woods was very nice. The people were very kind, very nice, and showed me all around. The location of the facility itself was very attractive and tucked in the woods. They served three meals a day. The staff answered any question that I had and were very helpful and had brochures available. I was impressed with it.

We were very impressed with Galleria Woods. The grounds were well kept, and they are in the process of redecorating and renovating. We could see where things were in bad repair, and they keep up with everything. We met a few people, and one gentleman said, "Do it now. Don’t wait long like I did." The food was fantastic. The lady that hosted us gave us some muffins to bring home that were really good. They have some really good chefs there. The rooms are very nice. We looked at a garden home and deluxe apartment, and we were impressed with both. Some of the move-in amenities they provide cost around $5,000 in order to help you upgrade things. They paint and do the carpets before you move in.

Galleria Woods was a very nice community. I met with the people, and we went over how it's run and the pricing, etc. They do activities, and they take them on field trips. The assisted living rooms are small, but I'm fine being that they're small everywhere. I was looking for a couple, and they would have to put two rooms together, have adjoining rooms, or knock down a wall because they're just small.

I looked at Galleria Woods. It was nice too, and everybody said it was a great place to live, but I don't think there was any vacancy at the time. It was pretty. The landscaping, the entrance -- all of that was very nice. They didn't show me around really at all because there was no vacancy. I did not even have an appointment; I just drove in there, and I did drive through that area just to come and check things out in case there was a vacancy, but I think they stayed pretty much full. I was looking for a place for my mom and dad at that time.

I had visited Galleria Woods. It was a good place, that's why I decided to live there. I was pleased with what I saw, that's why I would go there. I saw a private room, and it was what I wanted. The staff did a fine job selling their location. It had a wooded surrounding.

I don't think that we would want to live at Galleria Woods, but it was a very nice facility. The rooms were small, but they were probably sufficient for one person. The food was excellent. The staff members seemed to be knowledgeable, and they greeted people by their names. There were plenty of activities, and people were engaged in different types of programs and all. They had a Bingo game going on. There was a swimming exercise program, and they had shuffle board, and different card games that people were playing. The lack of maintenance brings it down a bit.

We moved in here at Galleria Woods. We decided that this is the best one for us. The staff was very caring. Once you eat down there, the staff already knows exactly whether you will have decaf or regular coffee. They will just put it on the table before you ask. We have a two-bedroom apartment, and we made one into an office because we have computers and desks. We put a sofa in that one that folds out into a bed for company. I didn't think the closet will be adequate at all because, as the movers say, there's just too many shoes, except in the shoe store. However, it is adequate for clothes and shoes.

Galleria Woods was attractive. It was really nice, but it cost more. The room area with the bed and the TV was kind of small, but they got a huge closet so you can make up for the room by putting the dresser and chest drawers inside the closet instead of out in the room. It has a huge great bathroom. They had talked with mom a few times and even had a room picked out for her and they were not even showing it to anybody else. They had people who will help her three times a week for her shower.

Galleria Woods is great. When people look for a retirement community, they need to look beyond their current needs to what they may need in the future. Galleria Woods has all the levels of care, from Independent Living thru Skilled Nursing. They have large apartments, a swimming pool, card rooms, conceriege services, four dining areas, unbelievable activities to plays, museums, parks and concerts and will even drive you to the doctor! They have chefs and even have their own pastry chef. The staff is very nice, always smiling and very professional. One way to tell a good community is to ask the people who live there. They are very happy and will all tell you they wish they had moved there sooner!

I am a retired physician,66 and have lived at Galleria Woods (GW) in an Independent Living delux apartment since February 2010. From day one, everyone has been so accomodating and welcoming. The location near the Galleria Shopping Mall and major freeways and roads allows easy access to shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The facility is immaculate, clean and spacious. It is located in a beautiful wooded area. There are great activities and outings every day. The residents and staff could not be nicer. There is a great library and beautifully decorated dining room. I recommend it to all my friends and to you too.
