A very “home” like residence where each resident is treated like family. Very caring and professional staff members who lovingly care for the residents. They are provided with games, books, crafts and many other fun activities. Holidays are celebrated (national pie day, etc.) and fun snacks like watermelon, Ice cream, cookies are provided. A great facility! I highly recommend it.

The tour experience with Gardens of Pelham was not as good as what we experienced with the other places. They showed us the units, but they weren't prepared for us. There was probably some miscommunication, but they tried to give us a tour nonetheless. We found the facility as small, with small accommodation, small units, and even few amenities. It appeared to be a place that was for the very elderly and the pricing was high compared to the other places for similar accommodations. It did not stay on our list after the tour. The staff was OK, but she wasn't prepared for our visit. I don't think that that's her fault as much as I think there was just some miscommunication. I wouldn't give them high marks on that. They may say it's just assisted living, but when I talked with them, they kind of group independent living and assisted living together. The dining area was very small. It looked like a clean facility.

Gardens of Pelham was very nice. It was very homey, very new, and updated. The staff was very helpful. I saw the dining area, and it was nice. They were playing bingo at the time. They had a garden to plant things in, like tomatoes and whatever. They had a gazebo, where they could feed the hummingbirds.

I looked here and I liked it. It seemed to offer a lot of things I was looking for, and it seemed like the staff was nice when I talked to them. They introduced me to some of the employees that were working, took me on a nice tour, and showed me the rooms. It was laid out like an apartment, with individual rooms. The rooms were nice, with a closet, bathroom, and bedroom. The dining room was nice, large, and setup for everybody to eat at one time. They take them out, they have things coming into the facility, and they have activities inside. They have a schedule of things, and they have interesting things going on.

Very good food. I don't like fried food, so the cook bakes or grills for me. We also have activities like bingo, dominoes, rook, and crafts like making decorations for the tables according to the holiday.

Good cooks. Good food. Resident unable to lose out here! Great CNAs – free with loving care, makes you feel like you are part of their family. Meds given on time. Rooms cleaned and dusted. Clothes washed weekly, folded and brought to your room.
