We toured Country Place Senior Living of Foley. The tour was good and the facility was great. The main issue that they had was that they were set up as studio apartments, and not as a one-bedroom like a separate bedroom with a living area, so that's why we're going to look at a one-bedroom apartment instead. It seemed like it was well-run or managed. It was a nice clean facility. There wasn't anything bad other than they're just set up as a studio apartment. The staff was extremely friendly and nice. The facility is in a good location. It's close to shopping, restaurants, and medical facilities. They have a nice community room and a nice patio area. The kitchen seems nice, you can order breakfast specific to what you want. It's kind of a smaller place which my in-laws liked. It's got a nice kind of family atmosphere.

The general appearance and layout of Country Place was fine, but the vibe wasn't. It didn't have any spark of life or pep. The dining area looked fine and smallish, but OK. They have an exercise room. It's quiet, it's clean, it's not bad; there's just no feeling of attachment.

I liked the location of Country Place, and the building was really nice, but I did not see any staff inside the building. We went on a tour on the weekend, but I never saw people being assisted. The place was beautiful. The rooms and courtyard were nice. I really liked it. The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that there were people sitting around and watching TV and there wasn't any staff in there to assist anybody, just the lady giving us the tour.

At Country Place Senior Living, they have been extremely helpful in the transition. The contacts that I have had with everyone there have just been so helpful; they go out of their way to make sure that my aunt’s needs have been met. She has absolutely loved the food. She doesn’t go to the dining area; they bring her meal to her. The room is absolutely beautiful.

We visited Country Place. The lady was very nice. She showed us around. She told us about some additional funding that we weren’t aware of because the lady that we were looking for was a widow of a military veteran, and we didn’t know about that the extra money that can help pay for it. If we had actually moved her there, it would really help out with that. The place was absolutely gorgeous. The amenities looked nice. Everything was very nice. The rooms were nice. Everything was new.

Country Place is very close to my work, and I like it because it is smaller. It is very nice. The staff is also very nice. If there is anything that we need, we just have to ask. I have eaten there two or three times, and the food is very good. My mother has problems eating, but they try to work with her on it. The dining room is very nice. Everything is very nice. I have no complaints. They have something going on all the time. They have people coming in to play music. They have some kids coming in from churches to sing. They have bingo and church services. The rooms are all private. Her room has all that she needs. I have already recommended them to others, and I am very satisfied.

We went to Country Place, and it was a beautiful place, but the person that needs to be admitted in to assisted living wants to stay at home. I am just a friend trying to facilitate the family. The minute I walked in, it was very warm, cozy, quiet, and relaxing. It was wonderful for me. We had lunch, and it was a good lunch. The gentleman that was trying to help was very good. The food and the atmosphere is great. If I could afford it, I would go there tomorrow.

Country Place Senior Living is a little smaller, a little more quaint. Not many rooms and it's not a bigger facility so mother doesn't have to walk as far to get from here to there. It seemed a little more homey for me. It's very nicely decorated, it's clean. It's new but it's very nice. The living accommodations are small but adequate. I've eaten there. It's good, I was pleased with it. They have exercise classes and they have social things like bingo and card games. I think they have arts and crafts. The lady that comes around and does light cleaning and takes the trash out, I think they have a high turnover. It may just be hard to find somebody that does a good job. If they could somehow maintain that service a little bit. A lower turnover in those people would be better because the residents get to know them better.
