The thing I liked about The Huntingdon was that it was in the community where Mom was when we had to decide to move her, but they are a money machine. They get the seniors in and make people pay the $2,500 registration fee, and there's a lot of people that have moved out right after two weeks, So, they're collecting your first month's rent plus an additional $2,500. I think it's a rip-off and the food there is horrible. They need to have staff present and I think all they're trying to do is make money and they don't mind about the residents that they have. There were times during the middle of the day when there's nobody in the office or nobody present. They had activities. They had bingo. No movie nights and they had people coming in, like schoolchildren, for Valentine's Day to love the seniors and that kind of stuff.

The Huntingdon was a wonderful place. It didn't take us long to find out that there were no openings, so we didn't go too far into it. It's an old grand hotel that they made out, so everything was so nice and clean. The person we talked to was very good and very nice. They showed us the pool, their own garden, and there were people sitting, watching television. It's a very nice and beautiful place.
