My mother is doing fine in Gardens of Daphne and I can see her warming up to the place. They have activities like bingo and other games; she also brought a tiny checkers set she had at home for them to use. Her room is fine, everything is as it should be and they're doing a good job at that. Some days she likes the food, but some days she's not crazy about it. She really likes the breakfast though because they cook it like she wants them, and they serve her eggs, or sausage or bacon, or biscuits and she likes that. They offer her what she wants. They have a front lounge area, tables in a dining-like area, and an area where they play most of the games. My mother seems to like everyone she has met here, so we have no qualms about the staff. The lady who's the administrator is on top of everything, so she's very active with each one of the residents.

My uncle is moving into the Gardens Of Daphne. We liked it. It's small, convenient, and the people are extremely nice. They have activities, they have meals, just lots of stuff like that. They're wonderful, they're very caring, very nice, and very kind. They have a two-room suite, living room, bedroom, bathroom, very nice-sized,and very easy for him to be able to maneuver around.

My mom was at Gardens of Daphne. There was a nice homey feeling to it, but they had limited nursing. It was wonderful if you just needed somebody to oversee, cook, or clean for you, but if you need any kind of real nursing and oversight, you shouldn't be there. My mom needed supervision. She needed somebody watching her, watching her medical condition, and assisting her. My mom's experience wasn't really good, but with that being said, she needed more attention than what they could give her. If you just need minimal oversight, it is an excellent place. It just didn't work for my mom. The staff members were very overworked, and they were doing as well as they could, but they were understaffed when Mom was there. They had great food. They had home-cooked meals, cakes, pies, and homemade breads all the time, so that was wonderful.

I looked at Gardens of Daphne for my mom. They looked pretty good. It’s an older building with a salon, and the rooms are carpeted. They had a big-screen TV on which they watch movies, eat popcorn, and sit in comfortable couches out in the common areas.

I was very pleased with this facility. The staff was very professional and friendly. The facility itself felt very homey, which is very important to my grandmother to feel at home if this was to be her new residence. Everyone that worked there was certified and educated. When speaking to the other people living in that community, I could find none with any complaints. The security and neighborhood was definitely up to our standards. It was very clean and well-kept. They also offer many activities and social events within their community. In visiting I was assured that my grandmother would be safe in a great place where she would be happy and more importantly taken care of in the best of ways.
