I currently have a resident residing within Northway and the service has been great! The staff is very friendly and responds to family concerns timely. The facility has been maintained very well. I recommend this nursing home.

My mom is at Northway Health and Rehab now. The rooms are not well kept. She is in a room where the floor board is ripping on the floor, and it is not worth the $190 that they are charging. They do not keep her with her clothing. I am missing her upper and lower plaids, and they don't know where they are. She is missing her watch and her summer clothes, and she can't chew her food because of her teeth, so I am ready to go pull her out of there. It is not a good place because in her area, the workers seem to ignore the patients there because the patients would walk around with urine on their clothing. It is just horrible. The employees don't acknowledge the visitors; they ignore the visitors. I think that if the employees had some type of incentive, they would probably do the job a lot better than they do. A lot of them are just either on the telephone or talking among each other or texting whoever. They need to watch the patients a bit more than they do because they have the males and the females on the same floor, so a lot of times the males would go into the females' rooms, and if no one is there to have them get out, they would stay. We know these Alzheimer's patients; they do wander. I think that the employees need to be aware of where their patients are.

Overall I would say that this facility is a little above average. The positives would be that the facility is clean and in good condition the rooms a spacious. They have activities for the residents including holiday parties as well as an annual fashion show. They do seem to engage the residents and try to make it a positive environment for them. Also, we have developed a good rapport with the occupational therapists that work at the facility and they have been great in assisting our relative. The negative would be that when we do have an issue or our has an issue at the facility it can be hard getting in touch with someone or getting our questions answered. We have to call multiple times and talk to several people before an issue is finally resolved. We have also unfortunately had a few of our relatives belongings to go missing.
