My mom moved to The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek. It is a nice large facility, well laid out. It seems to be very well-staffed, and so far we've been pleased with the feedback and the interaction with everyone from the nursing staff to administration. The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek was professional. The people were very helpful. Jessica, the lady we met with, was the administrative assistant of admission. She took us on a tour of the facility. The problem with that facility was they were continually trying to update it to get it up to where it should be, a modernized facility, but it's going to take several years to get it to that point. My mother was at The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek. It was a big place. The rehabilitation side was a brand-new facility, and it was manned properly. The nursing home was approximately 60 years old. There was double occupancy in what should have been a single room. The nursing staff was short and there was not a doctor there. The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek was a very institutionalized nursing home. It just had the essentials of caring for somebody. It seemed like a very professional facility, but it didn't feel home-like. The residents were just sitting around and it looked very hospital-like. The staff was very informative, very knowledgeable, and personable. There was a back porch with a few chairs, but I did not see a big outdoor space or a pavilion.
