I have a caregiver from Kindred at Home and I like her. She is a really nice, concerned person. She takes time with you and observe you and she pays attention to what your needs are and I like that about her. I use them every day. They help you to get dressed, prepare your meals, and kind of tidy the area where you reside. She takes me to doctors' appointments because I'm not driving anymore. However, I don't get telephone calls when one of the caregivers was away and I'm very concerned about that. You should know upfront that that person is not coming in and two or three times that happened to me. When I called them, they told me they were looking for somebody, but they haven't found anybody. I wasn't alerted that the person wasn't gonna show up. It took me a while to get a readable copy of the bill. It seems like they don't get on top of things as they should and that I'm concerned about.

I've been a client of Kindred at Home since 2017. The caregiver I have is wonderful. I like the fact that they have very good caregivers. At first, when I started using them, I was beginning into the chemo, and I needed somebody with me 24 hours a day and I had that service for a couple of years. Now I'm down to 40 hours a week, five days a week. She helps me with meals, with transportation, and doctors' appointments. She is a very nice companion. She has been with me now for about three years. Before that, I had different ones coming in and out, some good, some bad. We do grocery shopping, we do light housekeeping, changing linens on the bed, and she helps me with meals. I have recently had eye surgery and I'm losing my sight, so I'm depending on her more and more because I can't see too well these days. Her name is Connie. Sometimes we have to be flexible in my doctor's appointments and things like that, and they're very accommodating and letting us arrange her schedule to fit my doctors' appointments and things like that. They've had some changes in the staffing and it's been a little bit difficult sometimes to connect with the person in charge. Sometimes, they don't get back to us quickly. The caregivers have all these forms they have to fill out and sometimes we have a little problem getting the forms. That's the only thing that brings them down. I think it's more positive right now because they have new people here in the Houston office and it has improved, but not really up to the standard that it should be. There has been an improvement and the young lady that is in charge now is doing a wonderful job. It's just that she had so much to overcome. She's got to work past all of that, but she's doing a good job. I don't want any black marks against her because she's trying her best. My caregiver is a very caring person and one of the most important things to me is she's very trustworthy. She's very knowledgeable, too, about things that are important, so it helps a lot. It's kind of a pleasure to have her in my home. She's very gentle. She was wonderful when I had to have my eye surgery because I had to be in bed. She was willing to do anything that I needed to had done over those two or three days when I was not able to move around and I had to lay flat on my back. She was very caring and very dependable. I knew she was there and would help with anything I needed. I felt very good about having her here to take care of things.

I've been using Kindred at Home for eight years now. I like the caregivers. The thing I like a lot is the fact that if one caregiver can't show up, then somebody else will be here. They provide showers, care, very light housekeeping, and going to doctors' appointments with me and hairdressers. They come three days a week. Billing is clear. I'm happy with the way they manage it.

We're using Kindred at Home. We're with them for two weeks now. The caregiver's name is Aileen. She's been punctual, she keeps Mom very busy, she helps her around the house, and they've run errands together. Everything's been taken care of beautifully. My mom is 94, but she's very active. Aileen has been helping her straighten out her house. My mom has been in the same house for 30 years and we're starting to organize and give things to charity. Mom still enjoys doing the laundry, and so Aileen is right there at Mom's elbow to make sure she's not picking up things that are too heavy. Aileen is very respectful, letting Mom do what she wants to do, not overpowering her or telling her 'you can't do this, you can't do that.' She has been almost like a partner as opposed to a caregiver. We started about two weeks ago with two days a week from 8:30 in the morning till 8:30 at night, and she stays right up until 8:30. Aileen has showed us how she logs in and out using the telephone. She's stayed here the entire time. When there are errands to be run, she always asks Mom if Mom wants to go with her, and most of the time Mom rides in the car and Aileen drives. I think one time Aileen ran to the post office, but that's only a five-minute trip. Mom usually takes a nap in the afternoon, and I told Aileen that she could take a break, take her lunch time, and Mom says that she takes a short lunch or short break, but then she continues with dusting and tidying up the kitchen, emptying and filling the dishwasher. She keeps very busy. She's been exceptional. We had no problems. I've communicated with the home office. I've spoken to a lady named Saundra and I've spoken to a lady named Clive, and whenever we had questions, they helped us immensely.

I have been using Kindred at Home for eight months now. It's for my mom. Mom lives in a retirement community in Houston, and she is in the independent living part. We are part of the catered living program, which was four visits a day to help my mom get dressed, help her take a shower, help her to make her bed or just to check in on her. Two women do it seven days a week, and they have just been fantastic. They are just lovely people. In this crazy Covid environment, we have very limited visitations, so we have been just so thankful. They're really friends to Mom. They're really helpful, really kind and caring. We're just really grateful. They're just lovely people. The woman, who is the manager and whom I have coordinated with, she is just great. She has been super helpful and super responsive. She just has a lovely attitude. Kindred at Home has just been a real blessing to Mom and a blessing to our family. Mom fell, so we needed overnight care for a few nights, and the manager was able to step in on that same day and was able to provide someone. Just high praises and real thankfulness for how great it has been.

We have been using Kindred at Home for 5 years now. They're for my father. It has been a very pleasant and professional experience. Our dad is the number 1 thing we care about in our lives, and Kindred at Home has just been very understanding about working, especially with Meghan, who is probably the person we work with the most. The things that made me want to compliment her and Kindred is how quickly they get back to our questions or concerns and how they work with my father especially this during coronavirus to assure us kids that he is getting the best care that he can. My father was very nervous about having multiple caregivers coming in, but Megan just truly worked with us from a very caring and concerned attitude. It is shown to all of us which is why I like to give her compliments on that because I know it is not an easy job. The other thing about Kindred at Home that we really have been happy with is our caregiver LJ. LJ and my father just hit it off and got along. He trusts her and she just fits his personality perfectly. Once again, if we text her or call her, she gets right back with us. She is truthful with us and we appreciate that. It has just been a very positive experience. I don't think we ever have a problem. Kindred at Home is just a very professional and caring service.

Kindred at Home provided me with caregivers 24 hours a day after a lumbar spine surgery. They were very willing to work with me as soon as I got released. Billing and scheduling was fine. They were very good about scheduling at a moment's notice. I told them in advance that I didn't know when I would be getting out of the hospital, and they said, 'Just as soon as you know, message me.' Well, they had someone waiting for me at my house when I got there. They're very responsive. What I was most concerned about was not whether I'm needing them long-term but I was needing them on a moment's notice for at least a week, and they were very willing to help, very cooperative and very responsive.

We utilize caregivers 24/7 with my mother-in-law, and have for over a year. The caregivers are very good with her - and put up with Lil's sometimes prickly personality. The caregivers are caring, friendly, and competent. We typically communicate by text or phone with the caregivers - they keep us informed of anything that might need our attention or assistance. We have had experience with caregivers handling every day things - grocery store visits, doctor's appointments, but have also had caregivers handle emergency situations - multiple falls, including a broken hip. They have always handled each situation appropriately. The Kindred manager handling our account has been very responsive. We communicate through emails and occasional phone calls. We have had some caregivers that were not a good fit for Lil, and Kindred has quickly handled the situation and found a replacement caregiver that was a better fit. She has even been able to quickly accommodate emergency requests and provide caregivers on short notice. We also receive copies of the chart notes where the caregivers document the time spent with Lil - giving us better insight into how each day transpires. Overall, we have been very happy with the service provided by Kindred at Home and would recommend them.
