I have been with Senior Helpers Charleston since the first of the year. I have had some great people, but I've also had not-so-great people. Right now, I've got some good people that are helping me, and that works wonders. I have them from like 8 to 2, so I have them here for 6 hours. They get my husband up and out of bed, they help get him dressed and they empty the urine bottles and clean his room for him. They do laundry, they fix him breakfast, and they give him his medication. My husband can get out some days for PT, and they take him to that. They take him to any kind of appointment. They do a lot; they help me. A couple of the girls that I got right now go the extra mile. Because I had to get out of town for a convention this past weekend, I was able to have them come out and watch my husband, and they were able to do it as a live-in so that he would be covered for the whole weekend. So they're very professional. They're excellent. They're good. They're dependable and that helps me a lot. When my husband is napping, they're not sitting looking at their phone or anything. They're doing other things. They will dust and vacuum, which is fine, but I don't expect them to do that because I know they're there for him. They don't sit around, and I like that they stay busy.

Erica is an outstanding senior helper for both me and my husband. She always offers ideas for things she can do to help around the house and she has a very positive attitude. We appreciate her willingness to support us in many ways. She is always on time and communicates if there is any change in the schedule.

I receive service 5 days a week and have 3 great caregivers. Jeanette , Latoya and Martha . Ernest loves when Jeanette and Latoya comes because they make him smile and question him about his days in the military. He loves Friday because its McDonalds day and he gets his quarter ponder , fries and apple pie. The service that's provided is amazing the caregivers are awesome. Any problems that I have i can call the agencey and get an answer,

Our Companion Aid is a truly kind person, helpful, resourceful and always wants to do more. Always on time and attentive. Senior Helpers attention and administration are top notch. responsive to requests and informative and follow-up.

We feel so blessed to have found Senior Helpers to assist in my husband's care. From the initial meeting to discuss our needs and consider which personality of caregivers are best suited for our household, the agency has done a superior job. They are client-centered in their focus and standards. Scheduling needs change frequently for us and Amy, Julie and their crew always patiently respond, consistently providing caring and supportive services to ensure we are able to get to and from multiple appointments and therapies -- they have become extended family. We are extremely pleased with the quality of care we receive and are very grateful for their compassionate and professional employees.

I have used Senior Helpers for about 4 months now. At times, I need a bit of respite from my Parkinson’s Disease husband. I find each caregiver very professional and was able to leave my husband with complete confidence with them.
