They have helped me by doing the things that I cannot get to. The OT and the PT only come a few times a week, but we have been making great progress in helping me to learn to walk again. After I fired the PT and OT, the quality of the ADLs and the new PT people has been fabulous. They listen to me.

They were very patient with her. She often would be hard to find, so they were super patient to take the time to find her in her nursing home and get her where she needed to be. They could have improved because I would've preferred a caregiver that was consistent. My mom has dementia, and it would've been better to have the same person come every day.

The caregiver that was not a good fit was extremely unprofessional and was extremely loud. She was rude and on her phone multiple times even though we asked her not to be. She refused to do what we asked her to do that clearly fell under her duties. We had two spectrums of care. We had a really good caregiver and a really not so good caregiver. They need more training, especially the females who don't seem to know how to clean other females. It takes two people to get my mom up in bed, and it seems like BrightStar can't do it on their own.

The only thing they did was to be at home with my husband. Early on some people took him on a drive, but they stopped. The main problem was the turnover in caregivers. Every day was a different person. They would promise someone and someone else would come. Some people barely spoke English. We saw many many care providers. There was no consistency and the price was extremely high, even the highest in the market for the area.

It frees us up from having to be the only ones who can take her out, and it alleviates us from having to schedule that time. We do other things with her, but it is a scheduling convenience for us. It makes her happy to go out, go shopping, and have her for four hours every week. Administratively, it was easy to set things up for Emily. They are the only company that provides transportation.

I met with BrightStar to try to come to an understanding. They told me they were going to address it, but we had another blow up today. They helped tremendously when they were here. They helped me because my loved one was in a lot of pain and they all had a gracious attitude. They would help me with the laundry and the beds. It was more than I had ever expected. Every one of the caregivers was caring and very professional.

They've communicated with us pretty well and we know who is coming. I think that they would need to have consistency and quality of the caregivers.

It was very stressful. They could have done what they were told to do rather than doing whatever they wanted when I left. They weren't bad, but I just had some problems. They could have actually followed their schedule that they were supposed to do with her. For example, they didn't take her to the bathroom every two hours.

They did very little for my mother. My mother had a number of different caregivers before selecting a good match. I know my mom can be difficult, but the caregivers didn't usually try to make an effort with her.

She provides services in the morning that help with the quality of life, like helping her get dressed and ready for the day. It makes things easier for everyone. The provider is very professional. She shows up on time, and is usually early. She has a good working relationship with my mom. They really click and it's worked out well.

I think it helped my loved one transition to home very quickly. He needed help, and I think the care has really helped him with that. Brightstar Care has a really great response. They accommodate for what we need, and the people are very nice.

We are dealing with the patient, so it's not my daily life. Since we hired the CNA, my life is a lot easier, so I don't have to go out every day. I really appreciate the people from the office staff. It depends. They have so many different caregivers, some are so qualified and some are not. The staff has to communicate more with the main office. They need more training and to have some people that are more willing to help out. It's difficult because they have to be willing to help other people.

They are here when they need to be, and that is a really positive thing. I'm not here when they get here, and they call me when something is bothering my mother. They make sure that she eats, is clean, and takes her medicine. I am at work and can't do that.

I like that there is a lot of communication. I called one night and they got someone for me by the next morning. They are very prompt with helping. Some of the caregivers are fabulous and very helpful, but others are not so great.

There was a language barrier between my loved one and one of the caregivers. They hire CNAs that don't speak English, which is an issue when working with the elderly, especially if they have trouble hearing since they are unable to communicate with each other. They could screen the CNAs better.

Keyona arrives on time and assist with bathing, helping getting dressed. Our interactions with the caregiver are pleasant and enjoyable. The agency has been extremely helpful in providing us with the necessary emergency situations whenever one occurs.

Recently my mother became a hospice patient and we turned to BrightStar for help with her 24/7 care. We had several good ladies that came to our house to help with my mom; however, 2 ladies stick in my mind, Kathy C and Patricia L were absolute angels for my family. Their attention paid to my mother was absolutely amazing. They took their time to spend it sitting with my mom and going over and above to make sure not only she but my family was taken care of. Their kindness and attentiveness put our minds at ease when we knew that they were with her. I was actually able to get a few hours sleep when I knew they were there because I knew my mom was getting the best care. Thank you to these 2 ladies does not even come close to telling them how much we appreciated everything they did for us. I can only hope that BrightStar is lucky enough to get a few more people like these 2 ladies. I also hope that Brightstar does something to recognize these ladies because they sure do deserve it. My mother ended up passing at the beginning of December and I ran into Kathy today, one of the first things she said was that she was so sorry to hear of my mom's passing and what a wonderful woman she was. It really touched my heart that she remembered me without having to be reminded who my mom was. I sure hope that Brightstar and recognize these 2 ladies because it was an absolute pleasure to work with both of them.

They have made every effort to accommodate my loved one, even with their peculiarities. BrightStar Care has made life easier right from the beginning, by providing a caregiver my dad just loves. My dad has four children and none of us live by him and we work, so we rely on them to help him, which is tremendous.

BrightStar Care's caregivers are very nice and professional. I would caution somebody to get the caregivers on a consistent basis. The services of BrightStar Care help me by being able to go out and run errands. The services are helpful at night so I can sleep well. The night aide changes my loved one's bed sheets and diapers.

There's a little miscommunication with the office staff and the caregiver. The office doesn't read the instructors all the way before sending caregivers. The caregivers will make sure that my mother is taken care of. They make sure that she exercises and she is bathed.

I only know about the caregiver who helps me each day. I don't know anything about the company. The caregiver is excellent. She does nothing wrong. She makes my bed, fixes me breakfast, and does everything for me.

Within one week, the staff at BrightStar Care didn't show up twice! When the caregivers were there they did well, but they didn't show up all the time.
