I have to get them on track and then and once that takes place I'm sure everything will be fine. So far, it's been okay. We only have used them two/three times so far. The only issue is my dad kind of derails their service. I live out of state and I ask them to do specific things, but he lets the employees know he wants to go somewhere instead of doing their list of chores.

The caregivers that have not been a good match for us. They need to play games with her, and greet her, smile, and listen to her. I needed them to have more training in how to deal with the older people. My mom is very smart and does not really want care even though she needs it so they need to make it extra nice for her to have them be around. If the caregivers are not happy my mom is not happy. Employee attitude is not as good. The caregiver that we have now is great but the other ones were not willing to engage her.

We have Visiting Angels of Springfield that come twice a week. They come and help with light housekeeping. They walk my dog, they bring in the mail, they take out the trash, and all things that are a little difficult for us to do. We also have housecleaner. The caregivers are excellent and they're well-coordinated from their office. So we get a lot of support from them, and we've been very pleased. They do an excellent job with scheduling and billing.

The night girls just sat there. The day girls had to clean everything up. They didn't like cleaning the dog's room. They complained because the dog's room smelled. Of course it smelled, if they were just putting pads over pads. We had to put a lock on the door because some things were not left in their same place. They never questioned me about why I was getting after the girls. I would have liked to tell them that these girls were not well trained.
