This was a terrible service. I called repeated for the 4 terrible months they were assigned to the care of my grandmother - I asked for information (ie. packet about the company) - nothing; I asked for a care plan - 4 weeks later I finally got a call from the care manager and there was little to no information provided; I called to get a TB test done for a move and got promises of delivery but it was late; it took 5 days to get a walker and they sent a heavy one that is useless; they seemed to only want to communicate to the doctor that selected them and had 'control' (her words) over them; the only repeated phone calls I got was from a social worker that was threatening to my family and did more talking than listening; they insisted on more care but still decided to come only once per week; no xray to check acute back pain, just gave narcs; the doctor controlled them and told me they didn't want to 'waste money' coming more than once a week or sending staff to help her bathe since I was already hiring some home caregivers; I finally got around to changing to a responsive, responsible hospice and they will not cooperate whatsoever. What a nightmare. You can choose your own hospice, do not put up with places more concerned with how they get paid and who they are connected with - your loved one deserves better care.

Our family is very thankful for services you provided. It was a hard time for us and you guys were very patient and accommodating with all the requests we had ( we had quite a few). Most importantly you get a live person ( nurse) no matter what time you call ( midnight, weekends) who will take care of any situation on hand ( medications, supplies which they would deliver in the middle of the night). Very impressed. Thank you again Olympus.

I don't know where to start.. Losing a parent to pancreatic cancer is a devastating experience. Everything is fine and suddenly you are told he has few months, that's it. When we got introduced to the idea of hospice I was hesitant, but choosing Olympus was by far the best decision we made. From the very first call they've made to the very end Olympus was helping us every step of the way, caring for my father and helping us to deal with the unfortunate and unexpected fact that my dad is going to go soon. From the admitting nurse( Zara ) to the follow up nurses, to the social worker- I felt like I had an extended family which I never knew about. But the most surprising thing was that we didn't have a good insurance, it was some kind of Medi-Cal HMO that gave them a hard time and they wasn't even sure if they will get paid. Yet, that didn't stop Olympus staff from caring for my father like their own. Our family was deeply touched by their approach and we are eternally grateful for everything they have done for us. Anna

We thought their unresponsiveness was frustrating...but that was nothing compared to the botched catheter that sent my Dad to the ER with massive trauma to his urethra. I wouldn't leave a stray cat in the care of this so-called hospice.
