I want to pay special attention to the staff st Luxe. Overall they were some of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. There were a few outstanding people, people I call my angels. There was Shyrene, a CNA, who would be there to listen and encourage whenever you needed a kind word or a shoulder to cry on. And Shirlinda from Social Services. Your day didn't start until that ray of sunshine stopped by to check on you. Such an upbeat, happy person. And then there are Chace and Carol who made sure we made our lunch plans and had transportation, with activities to follow. The afternoons flew by and I have the Bingo prizes and crafts to prove it. (A special shout out to Jackie for hosting the arts and crafts sessions.) And there were many more...the PT and OT therapists who show such patience and strength; the servers in the dining room; the nurse who brings your meds every day, and the CNAs whose jobs are not always pleasant but some show such compassion. I thank each and every one I met during my stay. I was anxious to get back into the world but I miss them all and wish them and Luxe continued luck.

The food was cold and nasty . The service was terrible did not matter what you asked for you were not going to get it. The Dr. I don’t understand how he became a doctor should be working at Walmart and not with general public. The one good thing was the physical therapy 5 stars for all of them The nurses and aides that’s a whole different story. This is a warning for anyone considering going there

I am currently a patient at Lux at Wellington with hopefully only three more days left to my stay after having been here for about three weeks. so I’ve seen quite a lot in that time. But I’m only going to talk about a single Miner thing out of multiple far more serious ones to give you an idea of the Luxe at Wellington, Which sadly might be better than some competitions, which are Horrendous, but not by much! Here’s a simple but illuminating review about this place: After WEEKS of asking EVERYONE’S assistance for, at first, just a simple BANDAID, repeatedly throughout every single nursing station there was I could ask over the building (not just my nurse that day, but dozens of nurses for days to finally locate a bandage) but that I finally just had my wife bring me bandaids for a severely infected MIDLINE IV puncture site, that they had had to put in themselves,(because they failed to follow the One Direction given them by JFK hospital,) which was to keep giving me special IV antibiotics and antifungals for another four days! BUTthose four days past and at that point, they rushed to try to get me back on the antibiotics and had to get me a midline and when they finally took it out, nobody ever took a look at the site to see how the wound of having had a midline looked at and cared for! And they certainly didn’t give ME more than a single Band-Aid at a time or take care of it so that it was uncovered for days at a time, and thus became quite infected! But despite me explaining that to Nurse after Nurse, I still could only get maybe a Band-Aid at a time and I never was able to get a nurse to take care of it until today three weeks later! It took my wife, bringing me a box of Band-Aids, finally, even though I was in a hospice where supposedly nurses and doctors were taking care of patients for far worse maladies, but in which my simple midline removal was allowed to fester for weeks infected ! It sounds like a story invented and yet it’s 100% true and whether the reader decides to believe that is up to them, I can’t imagine somebody coming up with a story like that for a review, but I’m not on the computer that much to know for certain. All I can say that at a place that charges insurance companies thousands of dollars a day if not tens of thousands, a simple Band-Aid and maybe even a nurse to clean and administer it should not be impossible to attain to the point of an infection gone to this day Looking horrible and I don’t know what will happen from here! And I was very vocal and spoke up to as many people as I could about it so just imagine 95% of the population here and how they are literally unable to ask for help and certainly unable to administer it themselves! In short, do not send your loved one to the Luxe at Wellington , unless you want them to suffer such mostly unbelievable and enumerable stories like that! Any of which might possibly lead to an elderly person’s death if they are already ill!

Rooms were NEVER cleaned. Food was delivered every day different times and ALWAYS COLD Rehab was never scheduled at the same time never with the same program or person. You were lucky to receive 15 minutes of supervised attention for rehab. Nighttime aides were never found and if so were extremely rude. They were always hanging out in empty rooms. JACHO IS BEING NOTIFIED. STAY AWAY

The rooms are a good size clean with sufficient furniture to make one and a couple of visitors comfortable Food is ok not bad or great though I have chosen not to eat some of them Poorly peeled hard boiled eggs I find quite unappetizing I feel the egg peeler had long nails And have caused gouges in the egg so I find them appealing Lunch had/has canned veggies that were watery due to overcooking I think l may have lost around 10 lbs My tight fitting khaki shorts now require a belt The saddest part here is as my surgery started to hurt very early this morning I waited till 9am to request a Dr or a proper nurse it is 4.35 pm now and nobody has bothered It would be easy to continue but I believe you would consider another rehab for you or your friends/family

The room was adequate. The food was tasteless, cold and unappealing. Request for a late night snack (crackers) were denied. Staff were hostile, passive aggressive, and ineffective, It felt like a prison. A horrible experience, Pain meds were given randomly. I was sent there from Wellington Regional because I fractured my spine, Would have been better off rec overing at home.

This place should not get any stars! My mom was transported there from Wellington Regional after a hip/femur surgery, she was transferred to get post op rehabilitation and physical therapy on a Friday afternoon and we got her out by Sunday morning! This place is not a rehab, it’s a nursing home where they let people die! The first thing they asked her was “Are you DNR?” Like wtf?!… she sat in a wheelchair for hours before anyone spoke to her. When visiting, the nurse station is unapproachable, no one is forthcoming with information on the facility (wifi, amenities). The CNA, that was in her room laughed when I asked when she is getting her needed medication and very demeaning towards us. The food is probably worse than prison food. They never checked in on her and the 2 nights she was there, she slept in pee and her sheets weren’t changed for hours. The staff is loud in the hallways and not attentive during night hours . The managers made empty promises, so we took her out on Sunday… We felt that she wasn’t safe, due to the unapproachable , inattentive lazy staff!

horrible staff; no one returns your calls, conflicting information from departments and then you get hung up on, after being on hold forever
Never again

My wife was at The Luxe at Wellington Rehabilitation Center 9-13 thru 9-22. The service here was unbelievably bad. They never got her medications straight , 1 day she would get her pain meds every 6 hours as the hospital prescribed, then the next day she was told only every 12 hours. 1 day she would get 2 medications for anxiety then only 1 medication the next day. When she left the hospital, they had her sitting up in a chair 1 or 2 times a day and walking with and without a walker to the restroom or as for as the door to her room. This was never done during her stay at rehab. At the hospital she was using an Airlife thing to strength her lungs every 2 hours at Luxe no one had her use it. When she pushed the nurse call button sometimes it would take up to an hour and a half before anyone would show up. Her care was so bad that a family member stayed with her 24 hours a day from the 15th until she was discharged. On the Wednesday September 20 they told us that she would be discharged on the 22nd because the insurance would only cover to that date, we asked to be discharge on the morning of the 21st because the family was doing all of her care anyway, we were told they would not have the discharge ready until the 22nd so we had to stay. Luxe did all kinds of testing the night of the 20th and never talked to us about the results. When she was discharged they did not send the prescription for her anxiety medication to the drug store. I called and left about 5 messages asking to be called back, no one returned my call. I called and asked to speak to anyone that was there and was left on hold for 32 minutes. After 2 more calls I was able to speak to someone who seemed to care and they called in the prescription to the drug store, But the prescription was incomplete which lead to another round of phone calls

My friend has only been there four days to "rehab". However there's been no rehab and they don't even raise the back of the bed when he's supposed to eat. They just drop the food tray on the adjustable table and GO. When I called to nicely ask them to help him, I was responded with a cynical "... he should do it himself...". Incredible. Finally, how can you be located in southeast Florida and not have any Spanish speaking workers?

STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY OR ON TOP OF THINGS. AFTER MOTHER IN LAW WENT TO AN ALF, THE LONG TERM INSURANCE NEEDED 4 ITEMS OF DOCUMENTS FROM LUXE AND NO ONE EVER RESPONDS EVEN AFTER SEVERAL REQUESTS. MOTHER IN LAW IS PAYING THE ALF MONTHLY FEES BECAUSE LONG TERM INS WILL NOT PAY UNTIL THEY RECEIVE THE INFO FROM LUXE REHAB. A TERRIBLE PLACE

My sister is in Luxe Rehabilitation Center at Wellington. The care is very good. She's very pleased to be there. She's a vegetarian and they give her wonderful vegetarian meals, and she said they're excellent. She's gotten good care for physical therapy. They have activities there, but she does not want to participate in them. They have a very nice dining room on the same floor, but she prefers to stay in her room. It's quite a very nice place. They have a number of activities with a calendar for the month so that the residents would know what's available each day.

My wife was there, and it was pretty good. She was there two weeks. The food was OK, and like any place there are good people, and there are some people who are not really good. She got to deal with some excellent people, and she had some people who are there to be there. It was a fairly decent rating, and it had single rooms. I think they can put 129 people in there. It was OK, and the rooms are nice.

The care was excellent. The staff was very nice, responsive, and helpful. It is modern, pretty new, and has a nice setting. They have more staff because of the kind of facility it is. She likes the attention she is getting there so that’s why I don’t think the assisted living is much longer because she needs a little bit more than being by herself. They rehab is there twice a day everyday in the morning, and she has physical therapy in the afternoon, occupational therapy to help. They have ice cream socials, and they have speakers in the dining room and living room They have a lot of staff for rehab and are very good for them to get them out of their boredom, and they are forever working with the patients. I would highly recommend them. There are not many activities going on.

My mother (70) had her left knee replaced. The place was spotless, the food was great and most importantly my mom got home in 21 days fully ready to resume her life. Her friends spent a great deal more time in their rehabs....like 30 plus days...The rehab in this place is nothing short of a miracle. Would go there myself but I'm not on medicare yet.
