Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation and Health Center physical therapists are very hands-on and very great. Their physical therapists were very active and very on-point. There was one gentleman there that was above and beyond. He has even followed up. He's an amazing man. He helped my mom, and she is not somebody easy to take care of. She's a little bit of a handful. He had connected with her and was able to make her do what she needed to do and nobody else could. She was there for six months. The place was very clean and very nice. The physical therapists and the doctors were very on top of things for me. They have given me a lot of information. I never had an issue. They were amazing. My mom got a shared room. At first, it was a private room, but obviously because of COVID, even though she had a vaccine, she got tested positive, so they had to move her a couple of times, but the staff was excellent. The only thing she had an issue with was the food. The food could have been better. She complained about the food all the time.

My father is 82 years old, had a bad fall because of radiation from cancer, was in the hospital for a week with bleeding on the brain and a broken nose, went to this facility for rehab, and was a Delaware resident who was admitted for long term care, after one month the facility decided he was capable of making his own decisions, let him leave and go live with his daughter in Maryland, I was given 4 days to pick him up or i was told to pay $490 a day, now not only did he have brain damage, a heart that is only functioning it's 17%, now living at the daughter's house alone, he has dementia and or alzheimer's, with no one to help him because the daughter works, protect your loved ones and do not send them to this facility.

As a retired RN I was appalled by this facility. Upon entering the rehab facility at 12:30 Pm there were two patients sitting at the nurses station in soiled gowns with no signs of being properly groomed to start out their day. Facility was dirty and there was NO drinking water by their bedsides. One poor resident had been begging for a drink for 2 hours until I finally asked the nurse to provide her one. Just shameful! God help these people ! I observed no activities and the few staff that was there looked tired and overworked.

My sister is at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center. It was a rehab facility that she went to after she broke her leg back, so she spent a few months there, and then this time when they put her back there after a surgery she still knew people there and says she is convenient. When she was living at home she was basically isolated, and because she was an alcoholic I didn't let her come to my house anymore, so she's kind of appreciative that she's in a place where there's people. It may not be the best facility in the world. I've never been able to see it because she's been there since COVID, and I can't even get in, so I don't even know. If I determine at some point down the line that it's not what I would like to live in, I might be looking again. Until I can get in there, I can't make a decision. I visited her as she could finally come to the porch the week before Thanksgiving, and then they shut down again. She was there for her leg and then she had surgery and was found on the floor because of her alcoholism. She said the room is small, that's all she really told me. I'm allowed to bring a refrigerator and a TV and that's it. I haven't brought them yet. The staff is very nice. The outside looks fine. I see nurses and their aides coming in and out. It seems like a fine place. The low grading is because I've never been inside and because the pandemic kept me out.

I visited a friend who is recovering from a heart attack. The facility is very clean, the atmosphere is cheery and the staff was caring. After reading the reviews here I was apprehensive for the care my friend might receive. After visiting I left relieved that she was in good hands.

Our mother has been in the facility for 1 year. Overall it has. Even a good experience. Some days are better than others but she is happy and clean and the place is clean. Staff is always friendly.

If I could give less than a one-star rating, I would. This place is the worst of the worst. At a glance, things look pretty good. But, scratch the surface and you will find the definition of indifference, There is an overall lack of professionalism. Further frustration is the lack of sound administration. They are "for-profit" and it shows. From the bedside to behind the desk of administration, not a day goes by that I'm not fascinated by how they manage to maintain even one-star rating. The staff rules the roost and do or do not do with no accountability or regard for consequence. Lack of hydration is an ongoing issue, Meals are sub-standard, this must be one of the ways they save money. Broken equipment, repeated reports of no hot water.trying to reach someone at the nursing desk? Be prepared for a VERY LONG wait! BEWARE, STEER CLEAR. PLEASE, let your loved ones die at home.where at least there is dignity( and a full glass of water.

My mom is in this place as I am writing this. The place is clean but the service is HORRIBLE. The nurses could care less and my mother has waited for hours to get aspirin, help in bed, help to the bathroom and put on total ignore. The other day she was waiting for aspirin and she provided this information to me at 1:15 in the afternoon when I called her. I called her at 7pm the same day only to find that she never received her aspirin. I contacted the front desk, now night nurses, and they brought it to her. This is ongoing and very disturbing. My brother in law spoke to the manager 10 days ago and he apologized over and over but he never changed anything. I am now waiting ti'll Monday morning to speak to him or his supervisor. I am not only concerned about my mom but all of the other people that have to adhere to the same situation. Not a good place at all other than it is clean.

What a terrible place. My friend was often neglected on a regular basis. She was often left alone and not properly hydrated. I would arrive on a regular basis to find her alone in a dining room with no stimulation. Unable to do for herself, this facility failed her. If you care about your loved one at all, PLEASE choose another facility!

What a nightmare this facility was. My Mom had a stroke and had to depend on staff for everything. She was left for long periods unattended and was not offered fluids most of the time. I reported this to staff over and over and finally had to get the state involved and what a joke that was. Even after that, problems continued. When Mom started to decline, No one ever offered hospice....I had to ask. If you care about your loved one, please choose another facility. This one should be shut down.

My mom is in Atlantic Shores right now. I love the place. It is clean. The case managers in that facility are more than willing and very helpful. Everyone is very helpful. They are good at what they do. I see the case managers there as late as 7 or 8 o'clock at night. Overall, I like the place. The nurses are good to you. They just seem like they are a little overwhelmed because they are so busy, and sometimes it's hard to have someone get over there in some cases especially during the weekend and later in the evening. The whole facility is clean, and they have a code at the door to go in and out.

Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center had unfriendly staff, and they did not keep appointments. Their amenities were very nice. I was impressed with the renovation of the facility. It was very attractive and very clean, but I was negatively impressed with the unfriendliness of the staff and the fact that the director did not show up for an appointment with me. They need to improve their customer relation.

While the physical therapist, social worker, and nurse's aides were very nice, the skilled nurses were not. They were rude and dismissive to me and my family. They did not seem to want to be bothered with any of our concerns or questions. I understand many of these facilities are understaffed, however, the nurses did not seem to like their job or have compassion for the patients. I was relieved to get my father out of there.

Under staffed , does not follow whom to call in emergency. Leaves paitents unattended to long, does not offer drinks when they do finally check on a patient, especially when they can not reach for themselves, which causes severe dehydration and excess hospitalization.
