I highly recommend Tiffin House! During the past year, I had provided 24 hour care for my dad in his home. However, due to the progression of his Dementia, a hip fracture, and the onset of pneumonia, I was no longer able to safely care for my dad. I visited numerous facilities through the area, and the Tiffin House was truly an answer to prayer! The home is beautiful with private bedrooms rooms and many lovely sitting areas both inside and outside. The most amazing aspect of Tiffin House however is the WONDERFUL STAFF! My dad was provided the most respectful and loving care imaginable! The caregivers were knowledgeable, kind, patient, and loving to my dad. His care was difficult due to his confusion and pain. The caregivers were exceptional and spent as much time as he needed with his care throughout the day. Every staff member that I encountered was focused on providing exceptional care for my dad. I am truly thankful for Tiffin House for caring for my dad. I don’t think you can find a facility better than Tiffin House.

My Dad was on his last legs — miserable, and uncomfortable, having just completed a full course of radiation. His geriatrist's concerns mirrored ours that we were in very short order going to lose our much beloved Dad. He let us know we needed a place for him which provided much better care. With paremeters he provided, and our own due diligence done we chose Tiffin House. I fell in love with the place pretty much right off. They literally wiped my tears off my face multiple times over the coming months. They physically loved my Dad back to better health, both physical, and mental, giving us many months with him we did not expect. They loved on him, hugging and soothing him into feeling better about his situation which he was cognizant of. He was totally comfortable in his last nine months. About 8 mos longer than I expected to spend with him, and I spent a whole lot of time with my Dad. They made my sister and I feel great about our efforts to care for Daddy, and welcomed us to assist in every way imaginable. I love the Tiffin facilities, and staff immensely, and still visit often as do other folks who's loved ones resided there previously. We are a great big family with them all. I'll never be able to thank them enough. An aside note — My Dad initially lived in one of two rooms furthest from the dining room, kitchen, and day room which was but one short hallway away. Quite often he would get him himself up and would walk down for a late night snack or early morning breakfast before other residents were up and about. They were always happy to see him come strolling along with his big grin beaming and eagerly fried him an egg, bacon, and toast no matter the time. The Tiffin Houses are top notch when it comes to the facilities, beautiful grounds, and all the staff. Though fully developed, and equipped the owner is highly involved in the day to day management and care provided, and knows each of the thirty-two residents personally. He is constantly undertaking, and managing enhancement projects aimed at always improving facilties already at the pinnacle of the assisted living living and memory care field.

I am very pleased with the Staff, facilities, management. They are caring, loving individuals who have obviously been inspired by the ownership. I was the only caregiver for my wife for over ten years. I see that she is getting better care at the Tiffin house than I could give her as her disease progresses.

Tiffin House is truly an answer to our prayers. The care my mother has received is second to none. She has been a resident for three years and I have peace knowing that she is getting consistent and loving care. The owner, Justin, maintains the highest standards. The caregivers, nurses and staff are well trained and compassionate. The facility is warm and welcoming, in addition to being kept immaculate. Tiffin House is Justin’s labor of love!

My mom lived at Tiffin House for a year and a half and I can’t say enough good things about her care. All the staff are well trained in dealing with elder care and dementia with dignity and kindness. She was never alone and they established a routine that helped set her at ease. We had constant communication with nursing staff and open visitation at any time. TH not only cares for your loved one but the families are loved as well. My heart will always be grateful for Tiffin House.

The main thing you want to know when you choose a place like this, I believe, is, Will my loved one be taken well care of. The staff at the Tiffin House, from the owner Justin to everyone at the Tiffin House, went out of their way to make not only my dad feel at home but my family as well. We debated on whether to try to take care of my dad at home or not. I can honestly say that this experience with the Tiffin House was better than what we could have given him at our home. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I visited Tiffin House Assisted Living and Memory Care. The facility was very clean and well-organized. They have high expectations and standards, and they reward their staff for good service. They have a nice outdoor courtyard. I didn't see a salon or anything like that. It's assisted living and memory care blended, so it's very supported. The rooms are adequate and clean. The walls are white. I had the opportunity to talk to two different families whose parents are there, and they like it.

We moved my mother to Tiffin House after living in another community for over 5 years. The contrast was dramatic. The place itself is very homey and loving. At any time of the day there are people dropping in to visit their loved ones and there is always a smile and big welcome for everyone. My mother was incredibly well-cared for and we were able to stop worrying about her. We knew she was in the best hands imaginable. The staff were wonderful, warm, incredibly attentive, highly responsive, and on top of every detail. She could not have lived in a better place.

My father is so happy and well attended to as a current resident at Tiffin House (for over a year)! Two top aspects that set Tiffin apart are the facility and the high level of care/the staff. Tiffin House is a lovely, secure, clean home on well maintained country grounds, all curated by owner Justin Trodahl. What a calming and comforting atmosphere Justin built, basically a throwback to my Dad’s childhood era. Some of the special touches are: solid wood furnishings, generously sized bedrooms with awesome picture windows, beautiful era artwork and decor, wallpaper, parlor, big kitchen, dining room to eat as a family, comfortable living spaces, covered screen patios, gazebo, walking paths, a putting green, gardens, and more. Serene and peaceful, though full of life and vitality. My dad says Tiffin is truly his “home”, and my family feels just as comfortable when we drop by or attend holidays events there. Tiffin is always tidy and clean, and we’re welcomed with authentic smiles! (They also know our names, and who we are there to see.) Tiffin House excels in care, and my father’s recent transition from being relatively ambulatory to needing more significant assistance is a prime example. The progression of Alzheimer’s dementia amid additional health challenges affected my dad’s abilities regarding comprehension, memory, emotions, mood, mobility, strength, socialization, communication, preferences for food or sleep, and personal care. These changes have been confusing for him and sad for our family. The Tiffin staff is well versed in handling these and make all sorts of accommodations daily to help him. The staff also aids us in understanding the dementia process and what we can do to help my dad. Justin teaches excellent classes to families and the public about caregiving and dementia, and serves as a supportive resource. At Tiffin, I know my dad’s growing needs are met with compassionate staff who are accompanying us on his journey. My dad is my heart; and I trust this team at Tiffin emphatically.

We chose the Tiffin House Assisted Living and Memory Care. Mom moved in. It has a very small ratio of staff to residents. They're also very organized and detailed in their approach to their services. They don't just give lip service. They actually do what they say. They're more expensive, but they're worth it, because they have a lower staff ratio. They have a beauty shop, and a covered porch, and there's lots of trees. They have a very friendly, loving, and very caring staff.

I discovered Tiffin House when my mother needed a facility with Dementia care. I watched a video of the owner J. talking about his experiences and reasons for this family type of facility. I knew that moment I would choose Tiffin House. His knowledge, experience, and concern to lovingly care for his residents and staff was his top priority. Tiffin House is a wonderful, family atmosphere where everyone is included. I am so amazed and thankful that the nurses, care givers, and staff are so kind, friendly, and especially loving to all the residents. They help them with everything they need and show genuine love to them. One example of exemplary care and concern : I had to be out of town over the weekend. My mother had a fall and had to be taken by ambulance to a hospital ER. The nurse on call at Tiffin actually met my mom there and stayed by her side the entire time while she was being tested. She also kept me updated. I was so thankful that she was there for her when I could not be. To Tiffin House, J., all the nurses, all the caregivers, and staff: You are the best! I appreciate you for your care and concern for our loved ones. Thank you so very much.

The phone call that changed our lives. Justin answered the phone that day and I said I was looking for a forever home for my mom and his reply “Come on out”. Little did I know it was life changing. Suffering from dementia is frightening for the person and family. Dropping her off a few days later, I ask myself if I had made the right decision. The answer was yes! I am so gratefully for all the comfort and reassurance I felt from everyone the year my mom spent at Tiffin House. She was a happy person again and she loved everyone. Her smiles were the most precious gift. Thank-you to the staff for the wonderful care and making her feel like she was part of the family. It was the small things, the hello Mae Mae, you look pretty today, brushing her hair, washing her face after eating a wonderful meal and all the hugs. I am extremely grateful, I feel she had the best year of her life, because of you. We are forever connected because of her and you will always be our extended family. Blessings to you Justin and your incredible team/family. Essie, Donna and the family

I visited Tiffin House, and I was impressed with them. I looked at their memory care, and it was a small community with more personal care. It was like a private home setting. They were good. The staff was excellent. The place was very clean and well kept, and they were actually all getting their vaccine shots when I was there.

Overall we are very pleased with Tiffin House. The staff are very attentive and sincerely caring. They are always responsive and respectful in their interactions with us. The setting is pleasant and homelike and our Liz seems comfortable there. The rooms are small but very nice and fully furnished. We can't really judge the activities since families have been excluded during the Covid Era. Hopefully that will change soon.

Tiffin House helped my family in a pinch when we discovered not only that my father needed assisted living conditions but also he now had terminal cancer. This has to be the nicest facility and staff I have ever witnessed, heard about, researched, etc. The staff are good about hiding their wings as they are indeed angels in every sense. It gave our family comfort knowing he was cared for in his last days and had a smile on his face and was prepared for his final journey home. Mike Marek / Lisa Wagner

Tiffin has been a gift to my mom and our family. The physical structure of this facility is that of a home, not an institution. The beauty does not end there though. The entire staff treats the resident like family. From their effort to get to know her before she ever entered the door, to the tireless efforts in treating the difficult symptoms of Alzheimer’s, they honor not only our mom, but her family as well. Our mom has her own personal space and the community spaces inside and outside provide a sense of family and the beauty of nature for her to enjoy. They care for the whole person, caring for the person, not just the disease. We did our homework before coming to Tiffin. There is no other place like it. It has been a gift to us all in a hard season. We are so thankful.

My Mother-in-law has been at Tiffin House a little over a year. It has been a such a blessing. When we got the diagnosis and knew she needed 24/7 care, we began our search. The Tiffin House staff has been great since the first time I walked through the door for a tour. They helped make the transition smooth. They take wonderful care of our Mom and I feel like they are extended family. Her room is nice and feels like a bedroom in a home. The common areas are comfortable and clean. She enjoys the activities and I like the photos they send through email so I can see what the kinds of things she does (since she cannot remember!). She loves reading the paper, listening to the live music, sitting on the patio, and going on outings. Her health has improved with proper care, the right amount of rest and a good diet. Tiffin also supports the family and that is important. We are a team in her care. I highly recommend Tiffin House.

Our mom has been a resident of Tiffin House for the last year and a half. My siblings and father and I are all very pleased with the care that she receives. It gives us comfort to know she is in good hands. She has her own room which is very homey, as is the whole house and feels like a real bedroom with a combination of her own furniture and accessories and Tiffin supplied furniture, so we think it feels like a home to her. The staff are very warm and friendly particularly Uyen, the head nurse. The recreation director is great as are the aides.

I really liked Tiffin House. The lady was very nice and knowledgeable. The staff was great. All of the facilities were great and you can come and go as you like. They had two or three different kinds of rooms, and the price was reasonable. The place was really nice and all-inclusive. The building was very modern and really nice.

My mom became a Tiffin House resident after my dad passed away. Mom told us she’d never won anything before! Mom seems happier at Tiffin House than she has in a while. The Tiffin House staff really understand mom’s disease and she is treated with love and respect. In addition to assisting mom with all aspects of her daily routine, they make sure her hair and makeup are done every day so she looks pretty. We’d mentioned mom like the outdoors so the staff pushes her wheel chair outside around the beautiful grounds. (Weather permitting). Although mom is in hospice and sleeps a lot, she is always up and dressed during the day and encouraged to participate in activities if she is able. The staff at Tiffin House is making the twilight of mom’s life as rich as possible in light of her disease. We wish we found them sooner. Words cannot express how grateful my siblings and I are for Tiffin House and their fantastic staff. Our wonderful mother deserves only the best and we feel we’ve found that for her at Tiffin House. -Mary Campbell Adamek & The Campbell Family

I have seen the wonderful group at Tiffin House committed to nurturing the residents at each of my weekly visits to see my grandmother. I observe a compassionate and enriching culture while visiting in the quiet parlor room or enjoying the back patio. Our family loved the rooms and we were able to fix her room to fit the look/feel of her home. Tiffin House staff and owners appear focus on the social and emotional well-being of each resident. This atmosphere is where dormant abilities are brought to life and where they share such special times together. The event coordinator keeps things fun. Our grandmother loves the upper body exercise playing with a balloon. I receive wonderful pictures of my loved one frequently, each time I am thrilled to see her smile and interaction with staff. I am a nurse and have worked in the medical field for over 25 years. The nurse staff at Tiffin House are prompt to report any concerns and take action immediately. This is a VERY rare compared to other facilities. Tiffin House staff works together for the good of everybody in a supportive environment and I love seeing a sparkle in everyone’s eyes when I visit. Our family feels extremely blessed to have our beautiful, fun-loving Matriach reside at Tiffin House.

We really loved Tiffin House. That would have been our first choice, but they had no openings. It has two buildings, but it's set up with a comfy, cozy, homey vibe. They have safety measures and fall risk protocol in place. Their chef cooks everything from scratch. It looked like a really well-run facility, and the residents looked clean, happy, and taken care of. They do exercises and cognitive type activities. They have a one to two ratio of patients to caregivers, and they seemed really easy to work with.

Sometimes in life we get beautiful roses to make the thorns easier to deal with. This is how I would describe my incredible good fortune to have found and selected Tiffin House to care for my wife, a victim of dementia. I had cared for her for nearly six years at home with some respite help. She stayed for two months at another memory care facility during this period while I recovered from surgery and we found her care to be sub-standard. So when the daily responsibilities of caregiver finally overwhelmed me, I was terrified of the prospects of finding a facility that I could trust with her care. After searching the web, Tiffin House became one of my top-rated selections. I was impressed with the staff/resident ratio, the home-like facility, organized activities and a staff that interacted with the residents on a personal basis. My deepest thanks to Uyen, Nancy, Nereida, Marla, Aimee, Barbara, Kayla, Sara, Lilian, Brandy, Yesenia, Uri, Tomasa, and others; plus the supervisory skills of Tencia and Tasha. A visit to Tiffin House will show the excellent professional and loving care that I have witnessed during every visit. My wife has been in residence for more than a year and is currently in hospice care. The Tiffin staff works smoothly in conjunction with hospice staff in planning and executing her care. I can tell that my wife is happy: She smiles hearing or seeing the caregivers. My family and I highly recommend Tiffin House.

There is no harder task than finding the right place for your loved one. Fortunately, I found my dad's place at Tiffin House. The best way to describe it is that Tiffin House is home. It is so different from the places I've seen before. It looks like a comfortable and beautiful home from years ago, which is reassuring to the residents. The staff is loving and kind, the residents are very well cared for, the food is good, and the schedule revolves around the residents, which is remarkable. And, Tiffin House is impeccably clean and has lovely grounds in a beautiful, private area. I'm so glad that only twelve residents live in Tiffin House, so they get lots of love and attention. There are nurses on staff, Katie and Uyen, who are involved in each resident’s care and communicate with the family. Nancy is the activity director, and she works hard to involve each resident and engage them in conversation. Hortencia, the quality assurance manager, goes above and beyond to maintain high standards and give love to everyone. Tasha, the night manager, is really loving and kind, and Sylvia, the cook, goes out of her way to fix delicious food every day and make friends with everyone, and there are plenty of people working at all times. The residents even go on "field trips" to go out to eat, get a hair cut, etc. I knew Tiffin was the right place from the minute I talked to Lori on the phone. She and Lindsay put me at ease immediately, and I had a tour the next day. The staff is careful to answer all my questions, and never act like they are too busy to talk to me. I am also reassured by frequent emails from the nurses as well as care plan meetings and dementia training. The training helped me to understand my dad’s dementia and deal with it better. I can't stress enough how special Tiffin House is. We are so lucky that our loved one can live there and be loved and doted on by the remarkable staff. They have a passion for providing the best possible care for people with dementia and for serving their families.

You will not find a better facility to care for your loved one suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's! The expertise and knowledge that this amazing staff has together with the genuine love they have for their residents and families is unparalleled! My Dad has lived at Tiffin House almost a year and I have never regretted choosing this wonderful state of the art care facility. The care is over the top! You simply won't find a better care giver to patient ratio anywhere! The love and individualized care to keep stress to a minimum and give wonderful quality of life is seen from the compassion if the owner Justin and the director Lori to the RNs like Uyen to the manager Hortencia, the activities director Nancy, the cook Sylvia and the amazing care givers like Uri and Nereida! From painting the ladies nails to back rubs to providing activities like gardening or making cookies or going out for lunch the staff goes out of their way to make each moment full of love and joy! That kind of care simply cannot happen if there is not enough staff hired. Even the decor of the homes are for the residents not the families! My Dad loves the beautiful landscaping and the vintage paintings. I am an RN and I have never seen such high quality care in an assisted living facility. Little things like Uyen one of the fabulous RNs texting me to answer questions or share a photo of Dad are normal here! They truly love your family member and the families. . Please don't choose a place for your loved one without visiting Tiffin House!

We moved our mother to Tiffin House after a long battle with Alzheimer's. We felt the previous place she was living was not providing her the special attention she needed in her last chapter of life. The time that she spent there was not long, but our family felt we made those right decision to move her there because we felt the staff really cared about her. We were very happy with how special the staff made her feel. Uyen, RN, was in constant communication with me and helped me feel like my mother was the most important person in their care. When she passed, I felt like they felt as if they had lost a family member too. If I had to make this decision again, I wish I had moved her sooner. The personal care and attention given made us children feel at ease during the last period of our mother's life. John Grey

I visited Tiffin House, which is actually two homes. They had many social involvements, but we didn’t think my sister was ready for that. For some people this would be very positive, but for us, not so much. They didn’t have a lot of rooms with a private bathroom and shower, and we certainly would like that. That was a big issue. It was by the lake in a rural area, which is something I liked about it. However, it was too small a place for the number of people who need memory care. It was too small to accommodate what my sister would like.

Warm, inviting home environment. Reminded me of a Bed & Breakfast the first time I visited. Excellent staff to patient ratio. Lots of attention given to patients. They care for my mom with dignity and respect. There is no fee to be put on the waiting list, no community fees, and no hidden fees. I know that my mom is safe and well taken care of. It gives me peace of mind.

I have visited the Tiffin House several times when I was looking for a place for a family member. The staff members were very helpful and eager to answer all my questions. While I was there, I could see that the staff really care about the residents. I would highly recommend Tiffin House to anyone who is in need of a memory care facility.

Absolutely the best care in central Texas. We went to several places before Tiffin House and the difference was obvious immediately. The staff is loving and caring. The home is clean and smells great. The staff cooks homemade meals and the scent flows through the home. The owner of Tiffin House, Justin, has built a loving home that is designed and decorated to care for those with dementia. He hires the best staff and trains them personally and it shows. This home is a true blessing to our family. Our family couldn't be happier and we would tell anyone looking for the perfect place to take care for their loved one to choose Tiffin House.
